Description of the East Falmouth vacation home rental

IN SUMMER SWIM IN WARM WATER, FISH AND KAYAK. THE POND IS VERY CLEAN AND HEALTHY: IT IS AN ADDITIONAL SOURCE OF DRINKING WATER.

Our house is large, it has 3 bedrooms, family room, living room, kitchen and dining room. Accommodations with full amenities, including garage, 4 parking places, 2 bathrooms. We provide 1 queen-size, 2 double-size beds, 2 couches, folding futon, inflatable queen-size bed.
Kitchen has electric stove, dishwasher, microwave, big new “Whirlpool gold” refrigerator, toaster, mixer, juicer etc. Propane barbecue and charcoal grills.
There are washer and dryer in the basement.
Large deck and dining room have beautiful pond view. 2 bicycles, small trampoline and more.
Area Information
Stores and restaurants less than 3 miles away: Stop & Shop, Shaws, CVS, Ocean State Job Lot, Wal-Mart, many nice small stores. There are good sea food restaurants and the great ice cream place in the vicinity. The world known Woods Hole museum and Old Silver beach are close too.

Fabulous, Warm, Cozy and our Home Away From Home

It was perfect for a recent trip to visit the Cape. Perfectly hidden location so close to shopping areas but feels tucked away. Can't say enough price was great, the owners are charming and hospitable, easy to access and we were smitten with their friendliness. The deck overlooking the water is really as alluring as the photos show. Can't wait to make it our little home again.

We stayed at this house for 2 weeks in July. The property is in a great location, very close to Falmouth beaches and the downtown area, as well as Mashpee for restaurants and shopping. We brought our motor boat and enjoyed water sports on the nearby ponds in Mashpee and were also able to access the ocean and went to the Vineyard. The pond itself is great for swimming, kayaking and windsurfing. We were attracted to this property because we were able to bring our dog, who loves to swim. The house and surrounding property is very comfortable with a lot of space (we set up a volleyball net in the backyard). Overall, it has a lot to offer for a great vacation.

We rented several other vacation properties before - this is by far the best Cape Cod vacations we ever had. The owners are very warm and welcoming, they greet you on arrival with a home made cake. The house is very clean and well maintained, plenty of space and a kitchen is equipped with all imaginable appliances. Best of all - you are directly on a fresh water lake shore (beautiful view, so great to swim before and after your trips to ocean beaches and a real paradise for fishing). Very private and relaxing. We would love to go back again any time!

Zen at Fresh Pond

We spent two very relaxing weeks at Julie and Bob's home on Fresh Pond. The area is peaceful and serene - perfect for yoga on the deck or by the pond. The pond is crystal clear, warm, and perfect for swimming, rowing and casting for elusive fish. We ate most meals at the house as it comes quite equipped and food shopping is nearby, including Green Pond Fish Market and a little further away, Falmouth Fish Market. We also ate most meals on the large deck overlooking the pond (no mosquitoes!!) and loved our sunset meals. Falmouth salt water beaches with close views of Martha's Vineyard are only 4 miles away. We also rode bikes on the beautiful Shining Seas bike trail parts of which ran along the ocean. Bob and Julie are wonderful hosts who had a "tea party" set up for us when we arrived. New to the house was a portable air conditioner which provided relief for the few muggy days that we had. Usually the offshore breezes provided much comfort. The box of Cape Cod brochures was very helpful in finding restaurants and various Cape Cod activities. We had a terrific time and hope to be back soon!

We recently stayed at this lovely home and thoroughly enjoyed all the comforts it had to offer, and especially loved the view of the pond! Spent much time sitting on the bank, enjoying the sounds of nature and just soaking up the serenity. Couldn’t have found a better location or more welcoming hosts. As others have mentioned, Julia and Bob truly make you feel at home – from the tea party upon our arrival, to their very informative communication regarding the area – we felt that they truly care about their guests. Peace and quiet with many beaches close by

We stayed at this cozy home after our hectic holiday season to refresh, rejuvenate and welcome the new year. Julia and Bob were gracious hosts. I was able to cook whatever I wanted because of several nearby markets and a kitchen filled with pots, pans, small appliances, kitchen tools, etc. It was too cold outside to enjoy the large deck but the dining table situated inside allowed you to view the pond, ducks, birds and scenery through the sliding glass doors. We had the fireplace lit several times during our stay. Lots of room to spread out in front of the fire! The yard was roomy enough for my black lab to wander around in and we took many walks down the dead end street --very safe--very little traffic. The internet was easy to access. The TV had cable and had a great picture the few times it was watched. A large basket filled with local information was very helpful. This home was not far to many fantastic beaches! Easy commute to downtown Falmouth with its quaint shops and eateries. It was just what we were looking for! We had a wonderful time!

Relaxation and Serenity

We stayed at this wonderful house over Thanksgiving 2011. The owners are very nice and caring. We had a lot of questions and they answered them all quickly and with a lot of patients. They even had homemade cake and tea waiting for us at arrival. The house is located at this beautiful lake and the view in the morning from the deck is just breathtaking. We also found this to be the ideal location to everything. From there we went to Plymouth, Boston, Newport and of course Provincetown. The house itself is very comfortable and has everything one could need. The kitchen is equipped even for a Thanksgiving dinner. What we loved most, was the relaxation. It is so quiet and serene that coming from New York City if felt wired the first night falling asleep. We had a wonderful time and are making plans to go there in the summer when we can take full advantage of the lake and close by beaches.

This was one of the most relaxing places I have stayed. My boyfriend and I had the most wonderful time with our two dogs. Julie and Bob are very sweet people and made us feel very welcome in their home. We arrived with bread and tea waiting for us. The pond out back was so nice to look at from the deck while drinking coffee and eating breakfast and dinner. It was also very nice to just sit by on those beautiful fall days we had. The area was very nice as well, we spend alot of time going back and forth the beach and traveled up to Truro and Orleans a couple of times as well. We would definately stay there again. Anyone looking for a nice cozy place with plenty of room and peach and quiet this is the place to do that and unwind from lifes craziness!

Location is ideal. Easily accessible to all the great spots in Cape Code. Plenty to do in rain (and it rained 5 days so we are experts now) & shine. Bringing your pooch is a bonus. And at end of long day you can relax on patio looking out over a small pond.

Quiet Retreat for young family and their dog

This was our first time renting a house and it could not have been a better experience. We are a family with 2 young daughters ages 5 and 2, and a beautiful sheepdog named Maggie. This house was the perfect size for us, everyone had their own bedroom and the large yard provided a lot of space to run around. The kids felt right at home and napped and slept beautifully here! We went to different places around the cape each morning then swam and fished in the pond every afternoon. This house is in a great cul-de-sac neighborhood with no traffic. We were welcomed with a beautiful tea party set up which thrilled our 5 year old, and left with some homemade treats compliments of Julia and Bob. This is a great place.

Before we made reservation I emailed Julia with concerns/special needs for my 89yr old mom, who had a hip replacement recently. This house is all on 1 floor and has a walk-in shower that mom could use. Julia was so very wonderful in seeing we had what we need. Its also on a beautiful pond and the small mouth bass really are large - my fishing DH and brother were very pleased! Its so quiet and feels like an ideal place to unwind and relax - but all the Cape Cod activities are a short car ride away. The house is very 1970s - from the Harvest Gold living room and kitchen counter tops to the avocado green tile in the hall bathroom. Its a bit over-decorated and every nook is full. It gives it a feeling of visiting an older relative. Since we're of an age ourselves we were comfortable with this.

My girlfriend and I stayed for a few days over Columbus Day weekend in this house, and we enjoyed every minute! It began with a very warm welcome, including flowers, tea, and cake, from the very hospitable and helpful owners, Julia and Bob, and included all the comforts of home, a beautiful large pond/small lake in the back yard, where we took a small boat to fish the largemouth bass, and had lots of fun - the photos speak for themselves. It was a great location too and we enjoyed touring Cape Cod and being able to come home to such a cozy and convenient house. Everything was clean, worked well, and Julia and Bob looked after every detail. We look forward to coming back, especially at the very affordable rates they charge. We heartily recommend this rental to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing vacation, with some exciting fishing thrown in.
