Brewer lake cottage.

Loved the location!! Quiet and peaceful and the lake was gorgeous! Very clean! We have a new love ... Kayaking! Loved sitting on the beautiful waterfront reading a book also it was very relaxing! Lots of wildlife ... loons, eagles, frogs, salamanders, racoons, deer, squirrels and chipmunks. The cabin had everything you needed and very comfortable and the owners very nice and accommodating. Bar Harbour was a little farther than we thought ... mainly because of traffic but so worth the trip. Very inexpensive to visit also ... only 20 dollars for the week ... beautiful beach and walking trails and the lobster in Bar Harbour soooo worth the trip!! We really loved our vacation and hated to leave!! Spent 2 weeks and would have loved to stay another week!!! Definitely going back!!

Hidden treasures waiting to be discovered.

If you want to experience Maine life without all the tourist, this is the place to come. Minutes away from many beautiful places for the nature enthuasist enthusiast. We spent the sunsets at Fort Point State Park, literally just down the road, viewing seal, dolphins and ospreys. Each night we were the only people there. Walk across Main Steet to buy fresh seafood at the Market and visit the stunning little library and historical society on your back. Just 2 1/2 miles away you will find a family run wild blueberry farm!! We took morning walks and found local fresh veggies for sale from private little farmstands. The owners house is on the property with the cottage and this was a bonus because their flower and vegetable gardens were amazingly diverse, beautiful and well tended. Our 4 nights here were not enough Truly one of my best travel discoveries yet.

Perfect Homey Getaway

Mr. & Mrs. Torrence were the perfect rental property owners (though, I must admit, I only met Mr. Torrence)--they made sure safety and security were top-notch and the hominess of the cabin was undeniable. I had a wonderful time and plan on returning by springtime. The area surrounding the property was perfect for the getaway I needed--the trees were almost peak, the lake was calm, and the weather was phenomenal. Thank you to the Torrences!

very quiet nice stay

The cottage is located almost at the end of a sand way where not other traffic comes except the neighbours. The interior of the cottage is old, but contains everything you need. The private garden on the other side of the sand street has a wonderful view on the very quiet lake and several kayaks and conoes are available for free. Don't underestimate the time needed to go to Bar Harbor, because there can be road works and a lot of traffic on the ways.

A litttle piece of heaven

We really enjoyed our stay here. The cabin is secluded, and the lake is quiet and peaceful. The only downside was that the bunkbead was too close to the ceiling which made it claustrophobic and Bar Harbor was 2 hours. This is also a perfect place for families as well as dogs. There are a lot of roads to walk with very little traffic. John was also a pleasure to deal with.
