Description of the East Holden vacation cottage rental

Listen to the call of the loons while you enjoy the peace & tranquility of beautiful Brewer Lake, & take in a panoramic view of Lake, Mountains & small islands with spectacular sunsets as you relax on the deck or dock.Sitting not very far away from the outdoor barbecue pit. At night you can relax in a large cedar swing set with the party lights on around the deck & listen to the waves splash on shore.All this along a private 200ft beach with great swiming, fishing & boating. Only minutes away from downtown stores.The Bangor Maine Mall is 25mins away.Bar Harbour & Arcadia National Park are about 55 min away. Golf courses, minature golf, fine restaurants, antiqueshops,discount outlets, indoor & outdoor summer theaters are all close by. Listen to the bands as they play music along the banks of the beautiful Penobscot River or you can ride up & down the Penobscot River where dining & dancing are available. The Arcadia Zoo is just minutes away. Driveing to the coast there are many lobster shacks along the way. Formal dining & dancing are close by. For those who like racing, ther is harness racing at Bass Park or stock car racing at speedway 95 only 35 minutes away.Bangor International airport is 25min away & Bar Harbor is 45 min away.Museums, nature trails,bike trails,mountain climbing,farmers markets,bird sanctuary,go cartrides,craft shows,gift shops,flea markets& family fun places are close by.  Perfect Homey Getaway, October 13, 2009

Mr. & Mrs. Torrence were the perfect rental property owners (though, I must admit, I only met Mr. Torrence)--they made sure safety and security were top-notch and the hominess of the cabin was undeniable. I had a wonderful time and plan on returning by springtime. The area surrounding the property was perfect for the getaway I needed--the trees were almost peak, the lake was calm, and the weather was phenomenal. Thank you to the Torrences!

The cottage is located almost at the end of a sand way where not other traffic comes except the neighbours. The interior of the cottage is old, but contains everything you need. The private garden on the other side of the sand street has a wonderful view on the very quiet lake and several kayaks and conoes are available for free. Don't underestimate the time needed to go to Bar Harbor, because there can be road works and a lot of traffic on the ways.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The cabin is secluded, and the lake is quiet and peaceful. The only downside was that the bunkbead was too close to the ceiling which made it claustrophobic and Bar Harbor was 2 hours. This is also a perfect place for families as well as dogs. There are a lot of roads to walk with very little traffic. John was also a pleasure to deal with.
