Molasses Pond Year Round Cottage Sleeps 7

Year round two bedroom cottage located on the south end of Molasses Pond on a southwest facing lot for beautiful sunsets. The property is on a small cove with plenty of rocks to keep out the heavy boat traffic. There is one neighbor across the street that is rarely here as well as a neighbor on one side that can not be seen and is also rarely around making this a very quiet area of Molasses Pond. We have a float out in the middle of the cove that is shared with four other cottages. We also have a mooring that accomodates up to a 19' boat. The dock will also accomodate a 17.5' boat. The cottage itself was built in 2005. It has a full length waterside deck and spa with views of the pond. Relax and enjoy watching and listening to the loons. The cottage is fully insulated eliminating the need to open any windows during the hottest days. It is finished 100% in T&G pine and includes a full kitchen, living room, two bedrooms, one full bathroom with tub/shower combo, and a half bath with a washer and dryer. One bedroom has a queen sized bed, the other bedroom has a bunk bed which has a double bed on bottom and a twin on top. The couch also folds down to a double bed and there is a sleeping loft with two twin beds (the loft is only for sleeping and is best for 7-15 year olds). Included in the rental price are two kayaks and two canoes for your use as well as a combination gas and charcoal grill. Molasses Pond is located 30 minutes north of Ellsworth in the small town of Eastbrook. The pond is 1252 acres and is known for its salmon and brown trout fishing. It has been recently illegally stocked with smallmouth bass, and there is currently no size or bag limit on them. Come catch them all. There are some big ones too! There are also brook trout, white perch, and of course sunfish! There are thousands of acres of woodland that surrounds the lake, some of which is the Lyle Frost Wildlife Management Area which is open to roam around on and there are also thousands of other acres currrently open for anyone to use as well. There is access to miles of snowmobile and ATV trails, as well as land to find blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries or to go out in search of wildlife in the area that includes deer, moose, bear, grouse, turkey, etc. It is only an hour drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park and also an hour drive to the Schoodic Section of the park.
