Description of the Eastbrook vacation cottage rental

Cottage #2 is separated from Cottage #1 by a nice 75' tree buffer to maintain a sense of privacy. This cottage also has two bedrooms and a full bathroom, and in addition to cottage #1 includes a screen porch to relax in and enjoy the scenery. This cottage has a fully stocked kitchen with a bar area and a living room with a woodstove to take off the chill on the off chance there is a cool rainy day during your stay. Cry of the Loon cottages are located at the end of a meandering driveway through eight acres of beautiful wood land.

Area Information

Molasses Pond is located 30 minutes north of Ellsworth in the small town of Eastbrook. The pond is 1252 acres and is known for its salmon and brown trout fishing. It has been recently illegally stocked with smallmouth bass, and there is currently no size or bag limit on them. Come catch them all. There are some big ones too! There are also brook trout, white perch, and of course sunfish! There are thousands of acres of woodland that surrounds the lake, some of which is the Lyle Frost Wildlife Management Area which is open to roam around on and there are also thousands of other acres currrently open for anyone to use as well. There is access to miles of snowmobile and ATV trails, as well as land to find blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries or to go out in search of wildlife in the area that includes deer, moose, bear, grouse, turkey, etc. It is only an hour drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park and also an hour drive to the Schoodic Section of the park.

A Little piece of Heaven

We were looking for privacy and as we drove back the rocky tree line drive we knew we found the right place. First thing was to open the windows and step out to the screened in back porch. The view of the dock and huge lake was magnificent and that night we heard the loons. The cottage was very cozy and had every thing we needed for a very comfortable stay. Distance to all the attactions were withing driving range. When we return to the cottage the light from our porch was very inviting and we felt that this was home away from home. We very much would like to return in the furture.
