Description of the Eastham vacation cottage rental

This charming cottage is ideal for a family vacation. The cottage is part of a waterfront community called Nauset Haven. Large pines nestle the shores of this 21-acre, freshwater pond. Fish, boat, and swim from either the dock or our sandy, private beach. Great cape location. Bay and ocean beaches within one to three miles. Cottage is situated less than 50 feet from pond and offers great water views from porch and living room. Other amenities on site include playground, basketball, horseshoes, volleyball and small gameroom and row boats.

Area Information

Eastham is located at the narrowest point of the Cape. There are many fine restaurants. The Cape Cod Bike Trail runs along next to Nauset Haven. You can get a shell fish permit and go clamming in the bay or the Salt Pond which is less than 5 minutes away. You can also get a permit to build a fire on the ocean beach for a clam bake. There is a public golf course in Truro about 25 minutes away as well as a small vineyard with tours and wine tasting. You can catch a whale watching trip out of Provincetown or P'town as the locals call it.

This cottage property is right on the lake. It provides three boats for free. The lake is beautiful with lotus flowers and fishes. Close to beaches where you can enjoy sun rise and sun set. The kitchen is a bit of outdated and the heater is not working if you need them in rainy days. Overall it is a good experience. Will definitely come back.

Peace and quiet on Cape Cod

We enjoyed our stay in this quaint cottage, which is situated on a fresh water pond. Centrally located near several salt water beaches, this cottage had all the conveniences we needed and is ideal for small children. We stayed in early June, when all the beaches are free - both salt and fresh water beaches. We enjoyed the woodsy setting and listening to the birds chirping in the early morning hours, and the frogs serenading us after night fall. We enjoyed using the row boats and appreciated the proximity of the cottage to the bike trail. It is right off busy route 6 and you can hear the traffic in the background, but you are surrounded by the beauty of nature.
