A peaceful vacation on the Cape

Our family including our son and his girlfriend and our daughter and her baby plus our dog spent a lovely long Veteran's Day vacation at this beautiful home. There was plenty of space and privacy to fit us all. Lovely kitchen to cook in. A great living/dining room with a gas fireplace where everyone hung out listening to music and chatting when we weren't off having adventures based on our particular interests. Watching sunsets at Herring Cove Beach and getting to know other dog lovers at Pilgrim Bark Park in Ptown, croissants from PB Boulangerie and Bistro, a tour of the Truro Vineyards, exploring the many beaches on the Outer Cape. So many things to do and so few people around made for a relaxing visit. The house was perfectly situated along the Cape Rail Trail had we brought bikes. It was a great location with the peace and privacy we needed but also easy access to shops and all the places we wanted to visit. We kept toasty warm under the down comforters at night. And we lucked out with nice cold but sunny weather for our weekend. But even if the weather had been less than cooperative the house was just so cozy to lounge around resting and relaxing that we would have enjoyed ourselves anyways. Thanks Mike and Connie for a lovely weekend of R&R.

Lovely home

We had a great week at Connie & Mike's home. It's a great location and convenient to so many places. Having the bike trail almost in your backyard is wonderful; we used it daily. We walked to one of the beaches several times (but we're big walkers). For those who prefer to drive, First Encounter beach (on the bay) is a few minutes drive and simply one of the sweetest places in the world. The neighborhood is lovely and quiet, but you're very close to the highway if you need it. The house itself is very comfortable with a fabulous, LARGE deck that we used daily. Given the house is at the end of a cul-de-sac, you've lots of nice private space around you. The interior of the house is very New England: warm, inviting and comfortable, but not showy. We had all adults with us, so the 2 queens and 1 king bed arrangement was fine, not sure how it would work with kiddies. There are ceiling fans in every bedroom, which was all we needed at night, although there are air conditioners. All-in-all, a really nice place that any Cape visitor would enjoy.

Summer rental

Very comfortable home in a location perfect for our needs. Amenities were good and the large deck afforded lots of room for cooking, eating and socializing. I loved the artwork and pictures as well.

Feel at home while away from home

Lovely home with plenty of space and an exceptional deck. We appreciated the art displays. The home was close to the bike trail, the National Seashore, town beaches, grocery and gas stations. The owners allowed us to bring our dog. The home was neat and clean. It was perfect for two small families and a dog. Sitting on the deck, you felt that you were in a very secluded area (quiet, trees and oodles of birds).

HAHA.....

The picture of the deck says it all. My Title refers to the steady stream of birds that come to the feeders. The little Nut Hatch's song seemed to say HaHa. It was a treat to watch the constant parade of birds coming and going. Very peaceful/private setting. Very comfortable home with all the fixings. I couldn't think of a negative if I tried..... Bike/Rail Trail right from your back-yard and the convenience of the Cape at your doorsteps. Great local beaches just a short drive away to watch the best sun-sets you could ask for is a bonus to cap off your day. I would highly recommend this property to anyone.

Eastham Paradise

Located along the Cape Cod bicycle trail, this beautiful home provided my wife, our four Yorkies, and me incredible access to all the best that the Cape can offer. Located less than 5 miles from Coast Guard Beach, and back roads can get you there in under 10 minutes, we enjoyed daily beach walks with the dogs. Nickerson State Park, also just 10 minutes away, offered us the opportunity to do some hiking in the woods. There were plenty of restaurants in the area , but our favorite thing to do was to simply sit and relax on one of the most amazing decks we've ever seen. I could not recommend this porperty more highly. We will definitely rent from these owners again.

Ideal location and lovely home in Eastham

Our familly had a wonderful time staying here. The house backs up to the bike trail, which makes it easy and safe to get there. It is close to the pond and the bayside beaches, as well as food shopping. The house has a huge shaded deck, where we had breakfast and lunch every day, staying cool in the middle of the hot afternoon. Our dog also appreciated the spacious deck area. We hope to return!

Wonderful, pet-friendly home

We very much enjoyed our week at this home. It rained 4 of the 7 days but there was never any sense of cooped up. I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a great week at the Cape. The only thing I would change on the description is "fenced yard" - it's really a "fenced area" (which our dog wouldn't go in as a matter of fact.

relaxation and convenience

This home is very comfortable, and it has one of the most relaxing, pleasant decks I have ever been on. The Cape Cod bike trail is a stone's throw away and the beaches in the area are great. Overall a wonderful week.

The Kain house is located in the Southwestern corner of Eastham. An ideal location, as the Eastham, Orleans and Brewster area of Cape Cod has the most desirable temperate climate on the East coast. It is a Cape Geographic Hub destination, satisfying every level of Vacation interest from tykes to Seniors. The house is spacious, comfortable and tastefully decorated.
