Description of the Eastham vacation home rental

Located on Great Pond, this year-round home is nestled in the pines off a gravel dead-end road. Adjacent to town conservation land, a more private setting is hard to find. Watch the sun rise over Eastham's largest pond from the deck, living room and master bedroom. Enjoy quiet afternoons and evenings on the porch. Walk through conservation land to Wiley Park's freshwater beach. Close to the Cape Cod Rail Trail bicycle path, Cape Cod Bay beaches (First Encounter Beach) and the Cape Cod National Seashore's Coast Guard Beach. Bring your canoe, kayak, sailboat and fishing rod, the cottage has private access to Great Pond for fun on the water.

Built in 2004, this house on 12 Clark's Point Road has all the amenities - full bath with tub/shower, washer/dryer, TV with CD/DVD player, full kitchen with dishwasher, stove/oven & microwave, working fireplace for cool evenings, wireless internet, outdoor shower with hot water.

There is an ample shed for storing bicycles and outdoor gear. Regular trash pick-up.

Area Information

Eastham is the heart of the Cape Cod National Seashore. Bicycle to Coast Guard Beach and Nauset Light Beach. Walk through conservation land to First Encounter Beach and other Cape Cod Bay Beaches. Bicycle via the Cape Cod Rail Trail to Wellfleet, Orleans and other towns.

Romantic Getaway!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay on Great Pond in Eastham. The cottage is very clean, comfortable, private and relaxing. The owners were so nice and helpful, We definitely recommend this spot and we would like to come back when it is warmer!

perfect getaway

This property is better than the pictures. It is a beautiful spot. We wanted quiet seclusion and we got it. The house was so clean, well equipped, warm, (firewood provided) and cozy for a fall weekend. Excellent location for visiting the rest of the cape, hiking from the door step, beach sunsets, and stargazing on the dock.

An unexpected surprise

We've stayed at many places over the years, many found online. We have never arrived at a rental to find it so much more than the pictures and description we had in mind. This cottage is special! The location is so private and lovely that it's really impossible to describe or photograph. It is extremely comfortable, tastefully decorated, including a well equpped kitchen. From the moment we pulled up to the cottage we were thrilled and excited. It was like receiving an unexpected present. We went to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and were not disappointed. The fireplace was lovely and the location was an excellent place to venture from on day trips. November can be very cold and it was, but we didn't mind b eing on a lake near the bay and ocean despite the weather; we found plenty of places to explore. I can't even imagine how nice it would be when the weather would allow kayaking, swimming, etc. We highly recommend this rental and hope to be able to return.

We came up (from North Carolina) to do research family genealogy (Mayflower passengers). Visits were made to Orleans, Provincetown, Plymouth and Boston, which were fantastic!
