Vacation Rental Description

A tastefully renovated and decorated home sits on 26 acres within a walking distance to the Minas Basin on thel Bay of Fundy. This four bedroom home is situated along Highway #2 which was part of the original Trans Canada Highway in this province. The entrance to the property is graced by two lovely Maple trees, silver birch trees and a brook from the hllls of Economy. Outside are perennial gardens with fantastic seasonal colours and blooms from tulips, daffodils, lilies, coreopsis, bee balm, lilacs, geraniums, rhododendrons and a spectacular. If you enjoy listening to birdlife you will be delighted to hear, woodpeckers, bluejays, Goldfinches, house finches, hummingbirds, robins, chickadees, and so many others.

Area Description

Sea Bass fishing, hiking trails, clamming, dinosaur fossil hunting, fabulous scenery and a variety of animal life abounds in this fantastic part of Nova Scotia. You can hitch a ride with a local fisherman to see what his catch is for the day in his fishing weir. Closeby only half an hour away is the Ship's Company Theatre in Parrsboro where you can take in a musical performance or a quality drama from national and international professionals. Also in this community is the Fundy Geological Museum where you can see complete dinosaur fossils remains. Just recently a new archaeological dig is being excavated in nearby Joggins. Golfing is available in Parrsboro, Debert, and Truro all within a 35 minute drive. Truro also has wonderful shopping, local movie theatres, fitness clubs, and so much more as it is known as the 'hub' of Nova Scotia. Harbourfront Halifax and its great nightlife is one hour and forty minutes away.
