Description of the Edisto Island vacation home rental
Neighbors, traffic and noise do not exist at Pyramid Pointe, you are surrounded only by water, wildlife and views undisturbed by human activity.
The master bed room occupies the entire top floor and offers spectacular ceiling to floor views of the ocean from its comfortable king size bed or its own private deck. The level below contains the remaining two bedrooms each with a full bath and views of the ocean from a king bed (and deck) in one and two full beds in the other. The lower level has a fully equipped kitchen, very large dining room, surrounded by glass, and den. A queen sleeper sofa and full bath are in the tv area. Watch dolphins in the creek 30 feet away while relaxing on the porch or soak up some sun on the large deck facing the beach. While it is difficult to see another house, unobstructed views of the ocean and marsh can be seen from every room in the home.
Swim, sun or beachcomb for beautiful shells, sand dollars, fossils or sharks teeth on the private beach. If you are lucky a loggerhead turtles nest may be opened by conservation just before dusk and you can help the baby turtles to the ocean.
Crab, fish or boat from our dock just steps from the porch, kayaks and small boats are available at the home for guest use at a very reasonable rate.
If you have rented a home at Edisto Beach, Jeremy Cay or Cowpens before, you will find Pyramid Pointe offers a level of privacy and view unmatched by any other property in South Carolina.
Edisto Island itself offers golf, a state park with several miles of trails for hiking or biking, charter fishing, gift stores, fresh local seafood and public beaches. Charleston, with all of its historical sites, fine dining, and aquarium is an easy 45 minute drive.
Come and enjoy what we have had to ourselves all these years, a little piece of paradise surrounded only by nature.
The property is currently undergoing renovation, interior photos to be posted in June!
Area Information
The island provides access to the ACE basin conservation area and the world's longest "black" river.

AWESOME
August 31, 2010
We had an excellent time at Pyramid Point!! The house is the most interesting place we have ever stayed. The view from the huge windows is absolutely aweing. From the porch we watched the dolpins play and tease each other in the water way behind the house. The beach was basically ours and it became the most awesome game of I spy as we searched through the most amazing shells we had ever seen!! We hope to return to Pyamid point. We understand that amazing updates have been made to the house which will make future stays there even more fantastic!!

Smiling Faces, Beautiful Places
June 8, 2010
Pyramid Pointe is a wonderful vacation home. I have had the pleasure of being able to stay there multiple times and have loved every single second I've been there. The description provided is perfect. I love the seclusion and serenity of the location. Nature truly abounds here; and the proximity to one of SC's few remaining pristine beaches is awesome. Seashell hunters should get out to the beach early, but not because of crowds (because you certainly won't see any of those here)!! And the porch swing at the house is perfect for those who like to read and still enjoy a nice breeze. The house, or Pyramid, is one of a kind. I love the natural feeling of the house and it's rustic decor. And anywhere that dogs are welcome is a place for me!! I would highly recommend Pyramid Pointe for anyone's vacation, especially those who want a real vacation and not just a "money-bleeding" trip filled with tourists and screaming children."

Incredible views, rustic with all the amenities
June 3, 2010
I love this house. The views are incredible and the home is very unique. My favorite part is certainly the large porch that looks out over the creek. Sleeping arrangements are pretty basic but spacious. There is a bit of a walk to the beach, but it's certainly not too bad and taking the boat is a fun way to get there. The island is very isolated and incredibly cool. I'd certainly recommend it for a vacation.

PYRAMID POINTE

I have been fortunate to spend several days on Edisto Island and Pyramid Pointe...It is a world within itself and one of the most peaceful places I've ever been...Sit on the porch swing...watch the tides ebb and flow...watch for the dolphins to swim up the creek...take a kayak and paddle down river or to the beach... walk the beach...collect shells...back to the porch swing for a nap...Down to the fish market for the freshest shrimp you'll ever taste! The house is a unique architecture that blends into the environment - completely private yet within an easy drive to town...If you want the experience of the southern "low country"...this is the place! The owners are gracious and wonderful to deal with...I would absolutely recommend Pyramid Point to anyone searching for a retreat away from it all!
Great Getaway!

We really enjoy our getaway to Edisto Island! When walking on the beach, there were beautiful shells and fossils everywhere. There were very few people around, allowing our vacation to be truly relaxing!! We have two labs that LOVE the beach and we loved that they were allowed to roam and play in the ocean! The house is truly unique in that it is shaped like a pyramid! We loved the balonies and decks because of their fabulous view of the ocean and marsh. Nothing beats an afternoon swing on the porch with dolphins in your view or fresh crab from the creek! Edisto is a great vacation spot for those looking for a relaxing and fun time!
A Great Time for All
Guest: Pleased with the Pyramid (Pensylvania)
Date of Stay: June 14, 2009 Review Submitted: May 27, 2010
We had the chance to enjoy a week of fun, sun, and relaxation at Pyramid Point in June of 2009. The house was large and spacious with plenty room for our group of 6. The house is next to a water inlet where we fished, crabbed, and caught shrimp. We had a lot of fun paddling around in kayaks in the water. The floor to ceiling windows in the bedrooms allotted us the chance to wake to a view of the ocean that was breathtaking. Walking on the beach was our favorite activity while we visited Pyramid Point. We also had a great time looking for treasures on the beach, especially searching for shark's teeth.
