Fleas, Skin Mites, Bed Bugs, and No Heat: We took our one yearly vacation at Sliding Rock Cabins with our young child and small dog, and for more than 24 hours upon arrival we had no heat in freezing conditions. Upon check-in, were infested with fleas, mites, and bed bugs. The fleas, bed bugs, and mites were in the master bed and the living room. Sliding Rock Cabins attempted pest control, but were unable to fix the problem. It's two weeks since our "vacation" with Sliding Rock Cabins, and we are still battling the bugs we picked up from their property in our own home (fumigation, carpet cleaning, doctor's consults, vet consults, 30 loads of laundry, etc.). What is worse, is that Sliding Rock Cabins attempted to keep us from posting online about our nightmare experience in exchange for 1 night's refund, which is offensive considering our awful, ongoing experience with the bed bugs and mites. We wouldn't wish our Sliding Rock Cabins experience on anyone, and they couldn't pay us to return. Best of luck if you choose Sliding Rock Cabins.

We stayed in the cabin for a week. This was our 5th trip to the area. We used all the amendities at the cabin. Having the tubes covered was great, the pool table keep our teenagers occopied everytime we were home. Close to everything, we made day trips daily and were home for dinner every night,which made our dog very happy. We would diffently recommend the cabin . There were only 4 of us, but 6 or 7 would sleep very comfortably. The weather was great and there were deer every where. Planning another trip soon.

What a great cabin, 3 bedrooms all had king beds so nobody got stuck with a twin. The cabin is right on the river and has a fantastic view down the river. Dixie dog had a fenced yard, doggie bed and even treats! I had fresh roasted coffee on the porch. To our delight we saw deer crossing the river and DH caught a nice sized trout. We're definately going back.

Could not have asked for any more, cabin was more than expected, location was the best, lots of privacy. Best vacation ever! 62 fish on the hook!!!!

The cabin was great - perfect space for 5 people and 3 dogs. Very pet friendly - some say they are but charge you crazy unreasonable fees to have pets there. Dogs had a great time in the river and the fenced in yard. We spent most of our time in the outdoog paviloin with the hammocks and cieling fans. Wonderful place. Couldn't have asked for anything more. We will be back soon:)Thank you again for everything!!!

We loved staying at the Deer Creek Cabin! We had plenty of room for our family and the cabin was exceptionally clean and well-stocked with plenty of towels and and other supplies. It is sturdy and the front deck is very peaceful. You can hear the creek below. We caught fireflies, tubed down the nearby river and enjoyed the pools many times! The area is beautiful and the people were all friendly. The mattresses on the beds were so comfortable. We all slept great! Thanks for a wonderful week being together in the Deer Creek Cabin! Just one suggestion.....a few serving spoons/forks would be great! The driveway is challenging, but we got the hang of it after a couple of tries and were pros by the end of our stay! It is obvious that this cabin is loved....it is decorated so cute with all the bears! Thanks for sharing your cabin with us!

It was beautiful peaceful and the most relaxing vacation ever. The cabin had everything we needed and wanted and then some. We would definitely rent again.

For my son and daughter it was one of the best vacation they had ever had. They watched tv. about 2 hours a day compare to watching 8 - 10 hours a day at home. For my wife and I only one word describes the experience, "escape". Thank you for the memories at river romance. We will be back. The Galvez Family
