Write a review My wife and I, along with three other couples, spent 4 days at the cabin (more like chalet). Everything in the cabin was 1st class. Even with 8 people roaming around there was plenty of room to do your own thing without bumping into each other. The fire pit that sits right next to the river was a personal favorite of mine. We just sat around the fire pit talking and making smores not realizing that it was well after midnight. For the golfers, take a trip to Whitepath Golf Course (12 miles) and you will be treated to a fantastic day of scenic golf with deer walking on the fairways. Mark and Mary (owners) have done a wonderful job making this a pristine getaway location for anyone. We had a wonderful weekend at Goose Rapids. The setting on the river is unmatched. We saw lots of ducks and geese early in the morning and at dusk. Deer were all along side of the road. The cabin is beautiful and comfortable. Hope to go back again soon. Mark and Mary were great. I hope we will be able to return next year. Thank-you for sharing your cabin with our family. A great place for any family event or group get together/reunion. Beautiful home in a beautiful location with everything you need, wonderful views and lots of nature. Need to have your food or meals planned and all, not a quick trip to the grocery. We ate all meals at home, campfires at night and hiking, exploring, tubing during the day. Lots of family time and fun. Golfing in the mountains, tubing the Coosawattee River, relaxing in the Jacuzzi, the boys playing ping pong, smores by the fire pit, and pickin' in the park........Goose Rapids left us with some beautiful memories and we are honored and proud to be given the opportunity to remark. Thank you! This was such a beautiful cabin...EVERTYHING was provided for us imaginable. We went tubing, sat by the fire, grilled, utilized the resort...just not enough ours in a day. My entire family had such a wonderful time. Thanks for the memories! I just got back from the cabin this morning and couldn't wait to say all the great things about our weekend. Despite rain both nights, we had good weather during the day. The girls floated around on intertubes while the boys fished...turns out they are better than I thought because they caught several bass that we fried up and ate for dinner! (note to self: take cornmeal to the cabin next time so you don't have to send someone out to get it). :) Afterward we broke out the guitars and banjos and sat around the hot tub. It was a great trip. Coosawattee itself is gorgeous. I didn't realize that it is the largest gated community in the country (10,000 acres) so you definitely feel safe with no Deliverance-types roaming about, plus we literally saw deer IN the road right when you get in the gates. The only regret was that we didn't get to use the fire pit due to the rainy nites, guess we'll just have to come again! thanks! Wonderful!! My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the cabin so much, we are already booking the dates for our next visit! The cabin and the view was absolutely breath taking! We appreciated that everything we could have possibly needed to feel the comforts of home were all included. This was the perfect place for a quiet little get-away! TRANQUILITY!! This cabin was exactly and pictured. Plenty of room for all 12 of us ladies to eat, sleep, shower and have group time. Everything was thought of down to the fully equipped kitchen and shampoo and conditioner in the showers! All of us want to return again with our husbands. We had a wonderful stay! The property was beautiful and the owner, Mary was very very helpful. My husband and I took our pastors to the cabin for a little retreat and they had a great time. The river was just theraputic. The rooms very were nice and comfortable. I really liked the balcony off the rooms. It was a great stay and I look forward to going back. Thank you again, Mary! Our trip to the cabin & Goose Rapids was just what we needed. The house was huge & the landscape was beautiful. We can't wait to go back. What a relaxing weekend!!! Goose Rapids felt like home! Beautifully decorated, comfortable, relaxing, awesome view, fabulous location. We are looking at our calendars to see when we can come back! We certainly didn't want to leave. Goose Rapids is perfect for a getaway weekend!! Highly recommend this cabin! The house is brand new and just perfect. Not too kitchy! All the modern conveniences. We went to the rec center and the kids totally enjoyed the indoor pool. But most of all, our kids loved the river. They played for hours around the river and even made their way across to the little island...all in winter time, without ever getting wet once! What a great place! I can imagine the summer will be fantastic there!! Beautiful new property with all the bells and whistles. Cozy, warm, inviting with a fantastic view of the valley. We are planning on staying again and again. My husband and I had a wonderful time in this beautiful and peaceful cabin on the river. We enjoyed sitting by the fire pit near the river and saw many deer and geese during our stay. The cabin itself was very clean and the furnishings looked brand new. We had everything we needed and when we weren't relaxing in the hot tub or enjoying the river, we played ping-pong in the game room in the basement. We will definitely return, hopefully year after year. This is by far the best rental cabin we've ever had the opportunity to stay in. We can't wait for our next trip up to Ellijay's Goose Rapids River Cabin. Cannot believe our good fortune! Thoughtfully decorated and every room with a view of the river. Oh!! The River-Goose Rapids sits next to one of the best rapids on the Coosawattee. We've stayed at several 'river cabins' and none compare to this. Owners are attentive to your needs and have provided everything to make your stay perfect. Bring the kids, the grandparents, and leave your cares behind. You'll be mesmerized as you sit around the firepit with the crackling fire against the rushing river sounds. Top that with a soak in the hot tub and you'll forget there is anyplace else in the world. Do yourself a favor....don't hesitate to book this cabin. We were blown away when we arrived. Sits on secluded wooded lot.Sooooo peaceful. Every accommodation you can imagine. Spectacular views from almost every room. We were thrilled by a surprise "show" of geese floating down river in a graceful line, two days in a row.The owners, Mark and Mary have seen to all your wishes. Every convenience you could want. Dine at a quiet table on tastefully selected dinnerware. Have a small business group looking for and atmosphere where you can conduct your meetings with plenty of room to spread out ? This is IT ! Bud and Barbara, Homestead, FL Beautiful, new cabin, with high-end furnishings. Incredible setting right on the river. We enjoyed eating on the deck where we could see and listen to the water. At night we built a fire in the firepit, and sat by the river, and talked way into the night. We cooked several meals in the gourmet kitchen. The beds were fantastic... slept like a dream. Mary and Mark (owners) were friendly, and extremely accomodating. The cabin was way back in the woods, but well worth the drive! WE WILL DEFINITELY GO BACK!!!
