New Lodge located in beautiful Ellijay, Georgia, it is a scenic 90 minute drive from the Atlanta area. This cabin has fantastic views of Mountaintown Creek from every window. The river is so clean and crystal clear that you can see the Rainbow Trout swim right up to the rocky shore. Luxury accommodations include Two Master Suites with private decks, one with a stacked stone outdoor fireplace and the other with a cozy swing for two. In the Terrace Level you’ll have a plush Queen bed with an amazing view of the river. The Large Kids Room has three sets of bunk beds and connects directly to the game room (Foosball, 7 Person Hot Tub). Upstairs in the loft are two Queen sized deluxe futons. At night, pop in a DVD and enjoy a movie on the 42' Big-Screen TV and six-speaker surround sound. There are amenities galore including three outdoor pools, tennis courts, weight room, indoor pool, and 24/7 gated security. Easy access driving and parking!!!

The porch off the main level is equipped with family seating around the large wood burning stone fireplace. Lay back in the hammock to listen to the river and relax with your favorite book. The porch next to the kitchen offers a large dining table and two zero gravity reclining chairs and of course the Professional Grade Stainless Steel gas grill. Top level Master deck offers a private getaway to relax in the porch swing and enjoy great views of the mountains and river.
• In the Living room the hand crafted stone fireplace makes you feel right at home as you relax on the big comfy leather sofas, which also converts into a queen sized bed, if you need the extra space.
• Two huge Master Suites offer King size beds and a master bath with Jacuzzi tubs and separate showers. Both suites open up to private covered porches.
• Terrace level has 3 sets of bunk beds, one queen size futon and a separate private room with queen sized bed. The bath has a tub/shower combination. Terrace level bedroom opens off the game room to a 7 or 8 person hot tub overlooking the stream.
• The Loft area has two Queen sized futons. In total this cabin is capable of sleeping 16 guests. All bedrooms have terrific river views.
• Luxury Kitchen conveniences include all new stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. 2 washer/dryers, dishwasher, gas stove and oven, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, side-by-side refrigerator with ice, a high speed blender and lots of cooking utensils.

The Coosawattee River Resort is located just a few miles outside of Ellijay and East Ellijay, Georgia in the beautiful North Georgia mountains only a short drive from Atlanta, GA, Chattanooga, TN and Murphy, NC.  Great Place - Great area!, August 15, 2009

The cabin was perfect for our family. we have 3 grown children and grand children - and we had plenty of space. The cabin was located close to rafting, tubeing,hiking and many other things to do. There are lots of places to eat-but my favorite was the porch of our cabin. we are planning to go back again.

We stayed at the Trout Trap Lodge for 4 nights and only wish we could have stayed longer. This cabin is absolutely beautiful with gorgeous decor and every possible amenity you could think of. The kitchen was better stocked than my own kitchen, and a gourmet chef would be pleased with the quality & selection provided. They had 2 large master bedrooms, each with its own porch, and a large bathroom next door. The whirlpool tub was wonderful! Both beds were so comfortable & soft, (once again, more than my own home), and decorated with luxury bedding. They truly thought of everything! My favorite spot was the back porch off the 2nd floor bedroom. My daughter enjoyed the hammock and I thorougly enjoyed lounging in the chair listening to the sound of the river. The covered deck is 2/3 surrounded by trees, overlooking the river. That was just awesome! They even have a fireplace on this bedroom deck!! My family highly recommends Trout Trap Lodge. So peaceful! What a fantastic, wonderful place!

Had an AMAZING time at this Cabin for the week we stayed. There is so much to do and still have time to relax and take in the Mountain Scenery. The river views are gorgeous. Every bedroom has a picturesque view. River tubing was awesome, and our group of 10 tubers really had a good time. Amicalola Falls is about 15-20 minutes away and well worth the 5$ per vehicle parking fee. Atlanta is about an hour and a half away, but there are plenty of things to do that it is worthy of a day trip. There are plenty of the "creature comforts" within a 10-15 min. drive to appeal to those who don't like "roughing it." The drive into the cabin, however, will make you feel like you are far away in a mountain retreat. If the smiles on everyone's face at the end of the week were any indication, we will be doing this again next year (hopefully at trout trap).
