Fabulous

This cabin was amazing. We were 13 and it had everything we could have wanted. We cooked and were able to all fit around the table. The game room allowed for a lot of family competition. We had a camp fire and did smores and sang camp songs. We had a craft day and made luminaries that we lit at night and strung on the porch. We hiked up Amicalola Falls and visited Helen. Last year we went on a cruise but this was better and about1/3 the cost. My grandchildren will have lifelong memories from this trip. Some of them saw snow for the first time. Thanks to the owners who shared this amazing cabin with us.

Fantastic Escape

Our family of 10 stayed here for the Thanksgiving holidays this year. We couldn't have chosen a better place and hope to return in the future. Debbie and John have anticipated every need. We cooked our traditional Thanksgiving meal and had everything we needed to prepare it. Cookware and dishes were more than ample, and all of us sat at the dinner table together. We ate every meal but one at the cabin during our 4 night stay and always had everything we needed. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the game room. We hardly saw the boys in our group the entire weekend! The hot tub was clean and warm and was also well-used during our stay. The firepit was perfect for cold evenings, and again, no need to take firewood because it was already there. So many things we took with us were not needed because the cabin already had those items - multiple throws for the cold evenings, movies for the kids, board games, beach towels for when our crazy boys got out of the freezing cold river. Debbie already had all those things waiting for us. We had a minor issue when we got there, but Debbie was gracious and prompt in dealing with it - a true professional. The only negative to this cabin is the driveway. It is very long, steep, and winding. It wasn't an issue for us, but my mom was a bit nervous each time we had to drive it. They have made accommodation for this by providing very large parking areas, so turning around is super easy - no backing up or down at all. We have used privately owned/managed rental homes for vacationing dozens of times over the past years and owned our own cabin which we rented out, and we've never had a better experience, including our own place. Without hesitation I highly recommend this cabin to your family or group.

Perfect Place for a Big Family

This cabin is absolutely beautiful! Clean, modern, tons of space and things to do for adults and kids. It was very accommodating for our very large family with more than enough places to sit, eat, play games, and sneak away for some alone time. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone, and I hope that we can meet back here next summer! Thanks big sister for finding this place for our family!

Family Vacation

My parents, sisters, our kids, and spouses all met up to just enjoy our family. ALL agree that this is the best vacation that we have ever taken. We played in the river most of our stay. The deer visited us daily and our kids enjoyed chasing fireflies, frogs, and a rather large lizard. S'mores at the fire pit and coffee on the porch were also highlights of our trip. There was an area large enough to toss the football around and play horseshoes. The game room provided entertainment each night. There were PLENTY of sleeping options. We all wanted to stay "just one more night".

This was one of the best vacations we have ever had. No pressure. No hustle and bustle. Just tranquil relaxation and it was the location and the cabin that made it all possible. Our kids loved being able to go out the back door and walk straight to the river bank. I enjoyed the "personal" touch that was given to the inside of the cabin. The deer were awesome. We could live here all year!
