Description of the Embden Lake vacation home rental

Spacious year round home on the east shore of one of Maine's most pristine lakes. This 3 bedroom home has hardwood floors throughout and includes a finished walkout basement. Tastefully furnished the home features a fully eqipped kitchen with dishwasher,laundry area,dining area, fireplaced living room, 2 full baths, master bedroom with queen sized bed, 2nd bedroom with queen sized bed, and 3rd bedroom with full sized bed. The lower level includes 3 single beds, a fold out couch, ping pong, air hockey, and wood stove. A prime feature is the 10 foot by 30 foot deck off the living room which overlooks 80 feet of private shore frontage and dock. Two kayaks and a canoe are provided plus a mooring for a large boat is also available.

Area Information

Carrabasset Valley area of western Maine provides all the outdoor activities one could imagine. From swimming, fishing, boating, whitewater rafting and more in the warm weather to skiing at the eastern US's tallest ski resort, snow mobiling, ice fishing in the winter, this region has it all. The surrounding towns of Madison (12 miles), Skowhegan (20 miles), and Kingfield (20 miles) offer shopping, restaurants, and entertainment. Pinkham's Elm Street Market is close by for last minute needs including gas, propane, groceries, alcohol,movie rentals, and pizza.

We had the most wonderful time here. The house was beautiful and had many things to do. The water was crystal clear and the view was amazing. We had children from 4mo to 17years old. We had a lovely time at the cabin on Embden Pond in Maine last week. My brother, my niece and I spent time relaxing and exploring Maine - we were situated nicely to take day trips around the state. The cabin was beautiful - in wonderful condition and beautifully set directly on the pond.

Our party consisted of 4 adults and we all had a wonderful and relaxing time enjoying the beautiful view, fishing and playing air-hockey. The home is very well maintained and comes with many items to entertain those with active and passive tastes or abilities. Most teenagers would find it the place of their dreams.
