Gorgeous lake house on Maine's best kept secret: Embden Lake. House and deck overlook a broad expanse on this pristine lake. If you can't find relaxation here, you will never find it anywhere.
This three bedroom house has a queen bed master bedroom where you awake to the beautiful lake right at your window. Also another queen bed guest room and 2 twins in the upstairs loft. We also offer a very popular day bed spot for a youngster. All the amenities you'd expect in a well furnished, very clean house. Hear the water lapping and the loons calling before you drift off to sleep. The house, deck, 100' waterfront and dock offer excellent privacy.

Three kayaks and a canoe are available for your use. A 12' aluminum fishing boat is also included for use. Contact the owner regarding use of a 4 hp motor for that boat.

This house is ideally situated on Embden's favored East Shore which is bathed in the afternoon sun and enjoys spectacular sunsets across the lake. Enjoy a friendly game of horseshoes, a good novel lakeside, a campfire at the fire pit or a ballgame via satellite dish. Young or old, there is something for everyone here.

Embden has it all: hiking and biking, waterplay, antiquing and more. Nature abounds right outside your door. The Kennebec River is nearby and provides everything from white-water rafting to gentle kayak trips. Embden Lake is the perfect spot for families to re-connect. Family re-unions are common here. Arrangements can be made for multi-house rentals in close proximity.

We stayed here in August 2009 with another family. We had a great time! The house is very well-kept & accomodating. The view is worth the trip alone! We had fun on some day trips in the area to Moxie Falls & Moosehead Lake. But, the kids liked the lake the best. We spent most of the time in or on the lake. The water was very refreshing & the availability of the boats was an added bonus. The vacation provided the peace we needed to recharge our batteries before the busy school year starts! My husband and I stayed here for three nights on our yearly vacation alone together without kids. It was just what the doctor ordered. We loved the home, lake, layout, boats, etc. The owner was very professional and fair in all ways. I highly recommend this as a vacation getaway! Nice and quiet...loved seeing the fireflies come out in the eve and the sun setting over the water-also hearing the loons. Great bike trails and canoe opportunities closeby as well.

I just returned from a tour of duty to the Middle East. Desiring to reunite with my family away from the distractions of home, I discovered this charming lake house searching the internet. Not only was it the perfect size for our family of six, it was clean and in great shape. The paddled kayaks and raced each other across the north end of the lake. We played ping pong and board games when we weren't outside. We grilled steaks and pork chops on the deck while enjoying beautiful sunsets. After dark we gathered around the outdoor fire pit and made smores. There was plenty to do in the area as well. We drove to a nearby orchard where macintosh apples were ripe and ready for picking. We also drove up to Moxie Falls for a picnic, and on up to Jackman. The leaves were just beginning to turn, making the lovely landscape that much more beautiful. It was the most relaxing vacation I've had in years. You can bet that we'll be back next year & beyond to rent this wonderful lake ho
