For the adventure seeker there are many white water rafting companies and horseback riding within a 30 minute drive of the cabin. Hiking and mountain climbing await you. There are two great golf courses within a short drive. Some Activities: Swimming and boating are at your doorstep. Canoeing and kayaking are popular activities on the lake. The Lake: Embden Pond is one of the cleanest, mountain spring fed lakes in the country. It's beauty stretches for 5 miles with panoramic views throughout. Thank you.

The surrounding, mountainous area offers fine dining, golf, summer theatre, country fairs, antique shops and site seeing. Embden Pond measures nearly five miles long and offers some of the best fishing in the state. Wild Salmon, Trout, Bass, Perch, and Pickerel are abundant in the lake and are supplemented by regular stocking of Brook Trout and Landlocked Salmon from nearby Embden Fish Rearing Station (hatchery). Ice fishing is popular in winter. A public boat launch is available on the lake and you can keep your boat at your own boat slip in front of the cabin.
