Description of the Englewood vacation condo rental

HARBOR on one side and LEMON BAY on the other! BEAUTIFUL POOL on the harbor, PRIVATE beach by water taxi!! and restaurant steps away. Water views from all windows. Lanai looking onto harbor and bay. Watch the boats, read your books, soak in the fresh breezes from the water. Wake up to a fantastic view from your bed!! Just a few steps away and you are at the beautiful pool and hot tub, which is also right on the harbor. Club house for meals or grilling by the pool. Johnny Leverocks Restaurant is also just steps from the pool, so you can order a snack, frozen drink, lunch etc, and then sit poolside and enjoy!! A water taxi picks you up by the pool, and will take you to our private beach on Palm Island. Lounge chairs are there for your use, so no lugging chairs to the beach. There is also a restaurant (Rum Bay) on the island just by the beach, so again....order lunch and a drink and off to the beach, without a cooler to carry. The beach is fantastic with hardly anyone there. No crowds...just you and the dalphins! Great for collecting shells, sharks teeth, or just taking a long walk. The ride over is beautiful, so you get a boat ride as a bonus! Condo has a king size bed and a pull out couch. Everything is there...linens included. This is a small complex, so it is very private and quiet. Grocery store and liquor store are about 3 minutes down the street...and again no crowds or traffic. A little slice of heaven, that has not been discovered!! Shhhhhhh!!!

Area Information

Englewood is a very old town, several shops to browse but again quiet and not too many people. Sarasota and Venice are just North about 20 minutes, and there are many wonderful shops and restaurants there. There is also a huge variety of restaurants in Englewood. The one at the condo is great and has a nice water view, along with very friendly staff and wonderful food...at a super price.
Boca Grande is also very close. This is a very private little town/village...with golf carts running up and down the streets. Nice shops and restaurants. That is only about 10 minutes away. Boats are at the condo docks, that can be rented, or tours are available also.

Many beautiful sandy beaches to explore. Lots of choices for boating, fishing, restaurants and boat tours. Having the restaurant on site is fantastic for appetizers prior to grilling at the condo, or drinks by the pool. Feels like you are away on an island...without the cost!

A Unique and Wondeful Way to Experience Florida

We stayed in Harbortown and not on the island. The harbor activity was very interesting, people very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the pool and the group of boaters, residents who gathered there. Levirocks was very good but just a bit pricy as expected for a restaurant on the water. We found a lot to do in the area and many other good restaurants at all price points. The landlord was great to work with. The apartment was comfortable, with a great lanai. Doors to the lanai were open almost all the time in daylight which doubles the size of the living room. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept in at 5-start hotels. Saw a manatee in the harbor one day. We will do Harbortown again.

So glad you enjoyed your stay! I am always thrilled to hear when guests enjoy it as much as we do. To have the privacy, and be close to all activities, is one of the nice things about this location. The restaurant, on the premises, (Johnny Leverock's,)has fantastic food, and prices are good for the " Early Birds". It is fun to sit on the lanai and watch the Manatee, dolphin and boat activity, just outside your door! I look forward, to your return Fred!

Harbor view

We stayed at the Lemon Bay condo in January.It is as advertised but be prepared to climbed 2 stories of steps every time you come and go.It's very expensive to take your car on the 100'boat trip to Palm Island.

Owner's reply:

Steve, glad you enjoyed your vacation. We usually do not use the ferry, but take the water taxi that picks up at the pool. That will take you right to the island and beach and to the Rum Bay restaurant, and it is usually no more than $3.00 round trip and sometimes free!! The ferry is usually used for residents on the island.
The stairs can be a good exercise for you, especially with groceries, so that is one reason I offer the condo with an elevator if you have difficulty with stairs. I actually count it is part of my daily exercise! :) once you get up into your little "nest", and relax on the lanai overlooking the harbor, it is all worth it! The boat activity is never ending, even at the pool. It is nice to have dinner at the pool and grill your meal, overlooking the harbor and sunset. One of my favorites! Thanks for the review.

Spectacular R&R

We are in our 50's, and we must say this was one of our most relaxing vacations. It was very peaceful, the pool was awesome, and the people were very friendly. A short boat ride will get you to a private beach with Rum Bay restaurant, good food. Lorna was very accommodating, and quick to respond when we had a small problem with the washing machine, it was fixed ASAP. For a relaxing vacation, we highly recommend this condo.

Great time!

This place was great! Quiet and yet close to everything. There was a manatee in the canal and on the way back from the island, we saw dolphins. The restaurant has wonderful food, and is right there. No driving needed for dinners! We had such a good time and the weather was perfect!

We had a wonderful time at this condo in harbortown village. The condo was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and well equipped. The on site pool and adjacent restaurant are both 1st class. Looking forward to coming coming back next year.
