The cabin is fantastic, plenty of room to sleep a large family or many friends. Only one bathroom though and the driveway is a tough one. Recommend four wheel drive or you will have a long steep walk up the hill. Very peaceful and enjoyable place to relax.

Amazing Getaway

My family and I rented the cabin for five days and we absolutely loved it. The cabin itself had every amenity of home with that amazing feel of isolation of being in the mountains. The driveway is a little steep and 4-wheel drive is strongly recommended. My family and I will defenately be returning in the future.

The cabin was fabulous. I would recommend a 4-wheel drive vehicle. Ours had front wheel drive and it made the difficult to get all the way up the driveway when it was raining. But don't let that stop you if you don't have one. The cabin itself was beautiful and the fully wooded yard made you feel like you were miles from anyone.

We had a wonderful 5 days at this secluded cabin - it's fully equipped, comfortable and charming. The owners are very friendly and helpful, and left us maps for some amazing hikes to waterfalls and beautiful vistas. We'll be back for sure.

Perfect Fun

We stayed in the cabin for 4 nights over the Thanksgiving holiday. There were 7 adults, and we all had a nice place to sleep. The cabin had everything that we needed to celebrate the holiday, and to have family fun. The driveway is very steep! I have a 2011 Chevrolet Tahoe that is 2 wheel drive that did not make it up the driveway. My father has a 4x4 Jeep Cherokee that went up the driveway without a problem. Therefore, a 4x4 is a must. We will stay there again.

We were impressed with the design and woorkmanship that went into building this cabin. The two porches allow for excellent fall viewing and just relaxing. It has all the amenities to make for a nice stay. There is an extremely steep driveway that requires front or four wheel drive.

We had a wonderful week there. The cabin is super clean. Close to Erwin, which meant a lot to us. Beautiful & peaceful Cabin. We had all wheel drive and made the driveway with no problem. Karen & Rod are great. Will do this again! :)

What a perfect little cabin in the woods! We really enjoyed our stay. Karen was great to work with and had great communicaton. The drive is steep, but we have a Chevy Trailblazer 4wd and did not have any problems. Would love to stay there again.

Nice cabin to rent. We arrived to find a fresh 16" of snow! Access was a bit of a challenge. Ford F-150 4X4 proved to be a must. Later in the week the other guest staying with us made it up in a 2wd Suburban (after most of the snow melted). "Jack" the dog was a great mascot. Just a bit off the beaten path, but not too far. 10 mins to Greenville, TN. 45 minutes to Wolf Laurel skiing. 1hr 10 minutes to Biltmore. Thank you Rod and Karen for sharing your get away!

My husband and I went to cabin for our anniversary getaway. Cabin was about 1 hr. to Gatlinburg area. We enjoyed spending a day there. Just make sure you have 4 wheel drive for driveway so you can get in!

We had a wonderful time at the cabin. The setting and the views were spectacular. We even climbed the mountain. It was well equipped. You do need a 4 wheel drive to get to it. We might rent it again.

My husband and I spent the week at the cabin and had a great time! The driveway is steep but we had a Honda CR-V and didn't have a problem. It's great for when you want to get away! We would definitely stay here again!

We had a great time staying at the cabin! Once you make it up the hill, it is wonderful! We had both front and four wheel drive cars with us. Only the four wheel drive car was able to make it to the top of the hill. I am very paranoid about cleanliness and I must say that I was very happy with how clean the cabin was. The kids loved the pool table. The adults loved the porches. It was a great experience!

This is a great rental property and at unbeatable value. The cabin is very nice and as all the amenities need for an enjoyable stay. The owners were very easy to work with and their hospitality was amazing. The driveway is steep, but it can managed once you get so good momentum going.

Pretty cabin close to rafting and hiking

I would highly recommend this vacation home for several reasons. First, the owners extended unusual hospitality-providing vegetables and jam from the garden, and even offered fresh trout, the house is all log and wood inside and furnished well, the location is close to Cherokee Adventures on the Nolichucky, set in a picturesque valley. When told we were interested in hiking and outdoors, the owner left a map on the table and even highlighted routes and hiking trails and left info on horseback riding. We had a front wheel drive car (luckily not a new one) as the driveway was a bit of a challenge;however, we found it to be quite adventuresome. We would definitely love to return for a longer stay.

The value of this cabin can’t be beat. It beautifully made, peaceful, plenty of space for 8. Take this advice though, you must have a front-wheel or 4-wheel drive car/truck to make it up the driveway, it is very steep! We hope to visit this cabin many more times in the future. The owner’s even left fresh vegetables for us from their garden!

Cabin was a little hard to find and road leading up to cabin definately requires 4 wheel drive, but once you are there, it is very peaceful and quiet. I also found the owners very willing to work with you for an enjoyable experience. If you are looking for a get away from it all location, this would be it.
