Reviews for this vacation cabin rental in Estes Park, Colorado
I offer another installment of very happy guests in your home. Our family really need a week away together and Tara and I wanted a special place to celebrate our 20th Anniversary. We spent the week relaxing here in the house, taking as many meals outside by the river as we could. Music of the guitar and violin often filled the house. We also enjoyed the hiking in the Rockies, especially Mills Lake and Emerald Lake trails, and we drove the Trail Ridge Route. Nathan (16), Peter (14), Elizabeth (12), and Joshua (8) loved the elk, deer, marmots, and hummingbirds we saw. The evenings were spent trying to de-throne me as the Grandmaster of Hearts. Tara fixed wonderful meals, including steak on the grill!! In addition, we rode horses and did a fly fishing workshop. So much to do! The week went so fast. I should also mention that this week I led my family in a study of Ephesians 4. I is our hope to model in our family the characteristics Paul sets out for the church. Thank you for being so incredibly organized, everything was clearly marked. You have a truly lovely home! We pray God’s blessing upon your family. Sincerely, Tim, Tara, Nathan, Peter, Elizabeth, & Joshua, August 2009 Ames, IA
Thank you for letting us stay for a week in your cabin. We had fun because there was plenty of good room to use. We felt very comfortable in our beds and the deck was very enjoyable. We always tried to use the wonderful outdoor things as well as the indoor. Avital, age 8. Being the first time ever renting a cabin in Colorado, we decided that it was very worthwhile – even our guinea pig enjoyed it. Even if we came from a long hike, a nice horseback ride, or exciting white water raft, we felt that we came back home. The house is very clean and organized, and you did a tremendous job of renovation (based on the photograph). We enjoyed the hummingbirds and picnic area next to the porch and we especially liked the sound of the flowing river next to the house. If we choose to come back to this area again, we know exactly where to go. Eytan, Olga, Liron, Avital, and Spencer (the guinea pig) August 2009, Woodridge, IL
Thanks for letting us stay in your beautiful home. We found the stay enjoyable and relaxing. The size of your home was perfect for our growing family and a perfect environment for our 28 month old granddaughter. We especially enjoyed the nice deck, the spacious master suite, and the hummingbirds! We all appreciated your attention to detail with the amenities offered in your welcome basket. We hope your home will be available in future years at such a reasonable price! Blessings to you both and your family. David & Mary, July 2009, Federal Way, WA
Thank you so much for providing my family with excellent, comfortable accommodations during our vacation. Sarah and I and our four children thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The only two problems we encountered were a shortfall of washcloths (there must have been 25 or more) and we overloaded the garbage can in the garage. On the upside, Sarah wanted to see a bear and her wish came true on Wednesday night when one came out of the trees to drink from the hummingbird feeder. We were all within feet of him, inside the house of course! We would definitely be interested in renting this cabin again when we return to Estes Park. Sincerely, Sarah & Family, July 2009, Cabot, AR
Thank you for letting us stay again in your beautiful home. We love your cabin and the peacefulness here. It feels like home except in beautiful country. I sure enjoyed the hummingbirds and hope I can start attracting some around our home in Nebraska. You are also so good to us and I can’t say enough “Thank you’s” for your clean home and allowing pups to come here too. God bless you and your family, Jenifer, Casey & Samuel – We will definitely be back in the future. July 2009, North Platte, NE
Thank you so much for your help and the beautiful cabin. We had a great time reminiscing about our childhood days spent hiking and camping here. Was fun. The 2 sisters. May 2009, Grand Bay, AL
Thank you for sharing your wonderful cabin! We really enjoyed the comfort of the cabin. We had a leisurely breakfast most days. We strolled down town Estes several times and enjoyed eating at Bob & Tony’s Pizza and Penelope’s for burgers. We ventured to the RMNP several days to hike. Our favorite was Emerald Lake – breath taking. We drove to Grand Lake one day via Old Fall River Road. On our drive back we saw a herd of elk way atop of Trail Ridge Road. We had a fantastic week and greatly and greatly enjoyed lots of R & R. Jeff, Carol, Cole & Zak – Berryton, KS – August 2008
Thank you for letting our family stay in your home. Your “extra touches” were so welcoming – even the grandchildren noticed. We loved the porch and deck and spent a great deal of time out there. We each grilled a couple of nights. The chipmunk became a frequent visitor and he was affectionately named “Theodore” by Brent, our 3 year old. You’ve made this a home away from home and we loved it. We’ve been coming to Estes Park for over 30 years and now our son and his family are making this a frequent destination also. Thanks again. Dave & Dianne – Summit, MO – August 2008
Thank you for letting us stay in your wonderful cabin. We loved it. We also loved all of the wildlife. We especially enjoyed the surprise visit from the bear. We’ll send pictures! Thanks, Sherri, Thad, Blake & Brandt - TX – July 2008
We had so much fun in your cabin. My dad used your fishing pole and caught 3 fish but threw them back. We went to Rocky Mountain National Park and had so much fun at Bear Lake. We didn’t see a bear but all of it was fun. Do you have bats here, because I think we saw some? Lindsay, Kelly, Kendell, Luke, Ashlyn – TX - July 2008
Thank you for allowing us to use your home. It was a wonderful week. We enjoyed many of the views, hikes, and fishing. Our grandkids had a great break from their hectic schedule. It was nice to sit on the deck and watch the birds and chipmunks. Hoped to finish the puzzle but did not have enough down time. Loved our visit. Thanks, George & Ginny & 3 grandkids. IN – July 2008
We had an amazing time and we couldn’t stop talking about how great this cabin is. On our first day here, we saw an elk walking through our driveway! We enjoyed sitting on the front deck, reading, talking, eating, or whatever almost as much as we enjoyed the amazing sites in the area. This was probably our most relaxing vacation ever. We also enjoyed all of the sounds like the Thompson River, raccoons, and birds. We even had a chipmunk come visit and a hummingbird. I think we all really loved our vacation!! Thanks, Jason, Amber & Hannah, Cancel Bluffs, IA - June 2008
Where to begin with such a fantastic place? Not an hour after arriving, we saw our first elk of the weekend. What a way to start! The cabin was perfect and the scenery was gorgeous. We spent plenty of time exploring RMNP and were able to see many elk, marmots, deer, and chipmunks. Deck was a great place to sit and soak in the beauty. I loved watching the hummingbirds and we even had a chipmunk visit during dinner on Sunday lunch. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. We had everything we needed. It was perfect!! We will be back for sure. Thank you! – Mary & Jim, Omaha, NE - June 2008
Patricia, we had a greet stay at High Echo, very relaxing. Didn’t see any bears but we saw deer, chipmunks, rabbits and hummingbirds. Thanks for the welcome pack! Dowlings, ENGLAND, - June 2008
We will certainly contact you for renting the cabin if/when we find the time to return to Estes Park. It was a wonderful cabin.

We had a great time and found the cabin to be a delight. It is beautiful and so cozy, but with all the amenities. Our Katie was delighted on our last morning we finally got to meet the blue jay that had been taking the peanuts. It is such a lovely spot. Thanks again for sharing your home with us.
Sincerely,
Jackie 7/06
