Wonderful House

June 5, 2013

My wife, dog (Boxer) and I stayed at the Bella Rose on business for 6 days at the end of May. The house is amazing and the location was great. The owner was awesome and provided extra touches such as a beautiful arrangement of flowers and freshly made gourmet dog treats. The house has everything needed to provide a comfortable stay for anyone. Because of the Bella Rosa and owner, our stay felt more like a mini vacation than a work related trip. Thank you!

Well worth a visit!

What a wonderful bit of luck we had in finding this house! My family and I rented the house for a HSU graduation weekend. We were pleasantly surprised at all the space - plenty for parking, eating, playing and sleeping! One of the five bedrooms is located downstairs for anyone who has trouble with stairs. The kitchen had all that we needed and more, to include a large platter of welcoming cookies on our arrival! We enjoyed using the gas grill outside and then eating our BBQ on the three picnic tables in the yard. The evening got a little chilly so we moved indoors and sat in front of the easy-lighting gas stove. What a comfortable setting with all the amenities! I would most certainly recommend this rental for families looking for a relaxing and comfortable Eureka stay!

This beautiful house with it's beautiful gardens was the perfect place for our family to gather for a memorial. We were so comfortable, the owner Diana did not missed a single detail, there are even houseplants! She lives right on the property but was not intrusive in the least. Thank you Diana ~ our favorite new family get together spot!

Nice and Open

September 1, 2010

We had plenty of room for the 8 of us, from the kitchen to the living room it was all open, great for our family gathering. Even in the kitchen you don't feel left out. Our dog was very happy too. The only down fall was the busy road out front. But it was so easy to find and close off the Hwy. The kitchen was well stocked and the furniture was very nice and comfy. I just loved the way it is decorated! This was a good find!

I actually live here in Eureka but, my family rented this charming house so they could all stay comfortably together while they were in town for my wedding. Everyone that stayed at the Bella Rose traveled a long ways. Half of the fam came out from NY and the other half from So Cal or Seattle area. It was just what we all needed a homey, fully furnished, clean place. Everyone felt right at home. We all had such a great time! They alo allowed my cousin to bring his pup. Thanks again, Bella Rose.

Avoid this place

I rented a vacation house in Eureka California, the house is named after a beautiful flower: the rose, but that was all part of the charade. I specifically chose this house as it could accommodate dogs. The owner raved about having a kennel on the property. The kennel smelled like something died there. I would not consider putting an animal in there. It was disgusting. I had grave concern for the health of any animal that would be placed in there. There was no fence to keep an animal off the busy street and as for the back fence: the neighbor had to come over to show us how to adjust the rock that held the board in place. The lack of fence may be why there was dog feces in the yard when we arrived. I was hosting a baby shower while I was there. before I could let anyone over I had to clean the inside, outside, windows and porch furniture of huge spiderwebs and spiders. There were no screens for the windows and very warm. Huge mosquitos took up residence. Comfort: The owner spouted about 5 bedrooms. Of all those rooms there were only 2 usable beds. All the other mattresses were thin, you could feel every spring or plywood that was under it. Upon arrival, I noticed some of the towels had blue ink spots. I didn't think much of it as it did not come off on anyone. However when I got home, I saw that I had been charged for the damage. I was also charged to clean sidewalk chalk. Seriously, after I had cleaned the whole place for them. I tr

Business Trip Accomodations Were Great

June 29, 2010

Traveled to Eureka on business and didn't want to stay in the regular hotels. My partner and my 2 4-legged kids accompanied me. THANK GOODNESS FOR OWNERS THAT ARE PET FRIENDLY!!! When you travel with your pets, you can bet you'll leave the property looking better than when you arrived, as it is most appreciated that they are welcome in the first place! We rented the bottom floor only, as we didn't have a need for all of the bedrooms upstairs. It was cozy and comfortable, and provided all the accomodations that we needed (except a bit short on TP:^) The washer/dryer was a very nice detail as was the fully stocked kitchen. Charming art work was placed throughout the house and the couches in the living room were extremely comfortable. The fireplace heater was very homey. Although a bit more than state-rate, we splurged and had a great time. Now if Eureka could only figure out a way to get more sunshine! That would be perfect!

5/1/10 Great home-great memories made here. Thanks for making it so comfortable for us. We will stay here each time we come back to the Coast for a visit. Bob G. Marlie T. and family.

Our family spent Christmas at Bella Rose House. It was decorated with something special in every room. They knew my grandchildren were going to be there so there were two large Teddy Bears with treats at the end of the twin beds where they slept. We brought a few of our decorations for the tree, ate, played games and all woke up Christmas morning together and cooked a big turkey dinner. We spent a few more nights enjoying the house and each other. I recommend the Bella Rose House for Christmas or any time. It is decorated beautifully, the kitchen is fully equipped and you feel at home almost from the minute you get there. Our only wish was that the weather would have been better, so we could have enjoyed the large yard. Cox-Byerre Family 12/28/09

We were here for two weeks for work and the house was just beautiful and completely accomodating. The living quarters were so homey and relaxing. Love the ammenities in the kitchen. Had everything for baking and cooking. Love the beds and decor. Very comfortable. The floral arrangements were very special. Loved that touch! Enjoyed the geese in the field next door, Wasn't until the third day that I noticed they were not real!! Ha! Great! Who's job is it to move them and when? never saw any one move them---- Can't wait to come back. Thank-you for the comfort! Bob and Janet Bunn, Tahoe, Calif. DDA Workers 10/28/09

The Bella Rose was our home four days for a very special event in our families life and we truly felt at home in your comfortable house. Thank-you for the fully equipped kitchen, really was nice to have everything we needed. It was great to have out dog be welcome too and we will recommend your charming house to others and come back when we can. Dennis and Debbie Martin and family 8/3/09

Our family spent four nights in the Bella Rose for my brothers week-end graduation from Humboldt State. We brought our grandmother who is confined to a wheelchair. The house is set up so she had her own bedroom and bathroom downstairs next to each other which made it possible for her to come to this special event with us. When we had a electrical problem on Sunday, we called the manager, went for a brief ride and when we returned it had been fixed. On a week-end! We also had a large party for my brother on Friday night with more people than I can remember, the large dining room table, combined with the beautiful yard with tables and chairs everywhere made it a night we will all remember. I highly recommend Bella Rose House! Lisa Vogler and family 5/09
