Description of the Eustis vacation home rental
I hope you will like my beautifully decorated home as much as I do, and I hope you will want to call it your "home away from home" while you are here in FL. My living room has a woodburning fireplace and is large and open with several couches where you can relax. The kitchen has newer appliances and you will be at ease preparing snacks and meals for small or large gatherings there. Off the kitchen is a utility room with a stackable washer and dryer for your convenience. A large screened porch runs almost the entire width of my home and overlooks a beautiful yard. Both bedrooms and baths are beautifully appointed, and I trust you will be quite comfortable during your stay when you finally close your eyes at night. You can enter the house from the 1.5-car garage, which is such an asset, especially if you're bringing bags of groceries. Walk to the end of my street and West Crooked Lake is right there. It's not connected to the Chain of Lakes but many people enjoy it for boating, fishing, waterskiing, etc. My home is located on a beautiful street with friendly neighbors.
Area Description
Eustis is a small, quaint town right next door to Mount Dora. Lakes abound in this area as do antique shops, terrific restaurants and good shopping. Lots of history in this area since Eustis was primarily a town whose major industry was its orange groves. In the old days, shipping oranges was accomplished via the Chain of Lakes to Jacksonville, from where the oranges were shipped to all points. Old and new architecture intermingle on small, tree-lined streets in a quiet atmosphere. If you need more hustle and bustle, drive less than 60 minutes to Orlando where theme parks prevail. A sixty minute drive will also take you to the Atlantic Ocean at Daytona Beach on the East Coast. The West Coast and the Gulf of Mexico require a longer drive but they are certainly worth exploring also.
Many restaurants in Eustis and Mt. Dora have live entertainment, and there are many "fine dining" restaurants. The weather will be ideal--not too hot, not too cold! Expect to spend time outdoors exploring this area.
