Vacation Rental Description

Available to rent is our vacation cottage on the Muskegon River in Evart, Michigan. It is located on the outside bend of the river and provides a spectacular view of the river, you can see about a half mile up and down river. We are also 300 feet off the road, so traffic, what there is, doesn't interfere with a nap on the hammock. We are secluded with only a few neighbors on one side, and woods and nature on the other. Take a twilight drive and you will see deer feeding in the fields, and when you get up, you may see a few right at my feeder.

Area Description

Evart is located in the heart of northern Michigan's outdoor recreational paradise. The geography of west central Michigan is a blend of hills, forests and quiet farmland punctuated by sparkling rivers and lakes. There is an abundance of diverse wildlife in the region including bald eagles, which nest along the Muskegon River. Osceola County has one of the largest whitetail deer population in the state. Rails to Trails program converted the former railroad bed in Evart to a beautiful trail that is favored by walkers, joggers, runners, bikers, and snowmobilers alike. The Evart area is also home to the elusive Morel mushroom, as well as to blackberries and blueberries.
