Description of the Everton vacation cabin rental

Clear Creek Cabin is nestled on the banks of sparkling Clear Creek which borders our 345 acre farm for two miles. Tall oaks surround the cabin on three sides with a meadow and the creek in front. In this peaceful setting you can fish, swim, hike, explore our cave or just relax. The creek is known for its small mouth bass and from the cabin porch you can enjoy an abundance of wildlife depending on the season. Our cave was home to Indians years ago and some of their arrowheads can still be found. The cabin is open year round and is close to all Ozark attractions.

Clear Creek Cabin is about one hour from the Buffalo River which has wonderful floating, the White River for trout fishing, Branson, MO for the shows and shopping, and Silver Dollar City Amusement Park. Antiquing in our area is excellent

A Place for Peace and Rest

I can't explain the peacefullness I felt at this little cabin. I like that it is remote and has no other cabins near it...it is everything we hoped for in our vacation. If you are looking for a calm restful vacation...this is the place. Very clean and well equipped. By the way...it is some distance to the nearest store..take you some food!

Very Relaxing and a Wonderful Vacation

We just returned home today from Clear Creek Cabin and had a wonderful stay. Hummingbirds, armadillos, foxes, and tons of fish to be caught. Use the minnows in the creek for bait and you'll catch so many you will get tired. The cabin was delightful, cozy and just perfect for the two of us and our two small dogs. With all the woods you have to be careful of the ticks. And if you have little ones who need a tub, you will only have a shower which was perfect for each of us to use. Plenty of hot water, plenty of cool breezes, Beds were comfortable, both at night and for an afternoon nap. Marilyn is the perfect hostess who puts in really cute touches throughout the cabin. Just needs a needlepoint waterfowl right over the doorway to the kitchen from the main room to remind you to DUCK. The barbeque grill was perfect to cook meals on each night (and lunches, too). But the gas stove was also handy (we didn't use the stove at all, just the grill). And WalMart is close by in Harrison if you forget anything (about 20 miles into Harrison). It gets really dark at night and it is very quiet. Perfect for rest and relaxation. Very little if any cell phone coverage at the cabin, but there is a television with DISH TV. Just told my husband that is was time for Somemores (had those for dessert several times during our stay. With the grill just glowing after preparing our dinner or lunch, we just had to use those coals for something.) Lots of games and puzzles to keep you busy if you have rain or don't want to turn on the TV and don't want to read. I'll have my own bed tonight, but I am going to miss that porch. The road to the cabin has lots of turns and it only paved for about half the way. Then it is gravel and you might even meet some of the local four footed residents being moved from one pasture to another. Just follow the signs and you won't get lost.

The cabin is very nice, well stocked with cooking utensils and extra towels. Very clean. Creek runs in front of the property, there is public access to the creek but there were only a couple of people there during our 3 day visit. We were able to fish in a private area. The creek and the property are absolutely beautiful and vast. The cave is amazing, it's also hard to find, read the book they provide before looking for it. Also, we rode a motorcycle & would not recommend riding a full dresser because the road to the cabin is more than a mile of loose gravel, and is hilly and curvy.

Best vacation I have taken in years!!! Love the peace and quiet and the remote location. Lots to do, loved the long hike and the cave. Beautiful creek and love the fresh clean air. It just don't get any better.
