Whether you decide to walk our wooded trails, listen to a brook, or simply sit by the heated pool and watch the birds, we believe you will appreciate the special country atmosphere of spring and summer in our Northern Vermont location.
Come fall, the foliage is nothing less than awe-inspiring, especially from horse-drawn wagons on back country roads. After a day of hiking, biking, or walking, you may decide to sit before the fire in the sunroom, browse through the antique shop, or simply enjoy the sounds of migrating geese from the decks.
Winter offers miles of cross country skiing right on our property with major ski areas less than 30 minutes away. You may also want to watch the production of maple syrup in our sugar house and taste the results on your pancakes the next morning. A glass of wine, a crackling fire, and a friendly cat welcome you back at the end of the day.
The Inn itself occupies a renovated 1790's carriage house with most of the original beams left exposed. Each room is individually decorated with antiques, a queen-sized canopy bed, quilts, and a color TV. Guests are encouraged to use the two-person jacuzzi.

Presuming Jacquie's availability, we now offer, for the convenience of those who'd rather sit by the fire than head out to dinner, home made pizza in three sizes, two pasta choices or chili dinners as well as home made maple ice cream. With some advance warning we can also provide a fondu dinner.
Soft drinks, snacks, beer, wine, are also available. Feel free to use the guest refrigerator and microwave.
Children and pets are welcome (please review our pet policies). We strive to meet any special dietary need.
Our inn is uniquely designed and equipped to handle meetings, seminars, retreats and receptions. Guests can now stay connected either through our wi-fi or the guest computer.
The Inn at Buck Hollow Farm ... guests arrive offering handshakes and leave offering hugs.
We hope you will enjoy our smoke-free atmosphere.

15 minutes from St. Albans, 35 from Burlington, this was a lovely stay for our short business trip. A great plus is that they allow dogs, which is tough to find. Very kind hosts -- a good blend of attentive and still giving you space. The guest wing is very cozy -- rooms a bit on the smaller side, but well furnished and very clean. Soundproofing between rooms could use a bit of an improvement, as the private bathrooms are built back-to-back. Great pool/hot tub/great room for communal use. Two rooms share a patio out back.

My visit was in and out, but I so wish I could have stayed longer. It's a lovely spot, reasonably close to Burlington (about 40 minutes), with lots of very friendly dogs, cats and people. I will definitely try to return for a longer visit. A great weekend getaway.

A real find! A private, peaceful place where we were able to bring our black labrador retriever and feel at ease with him in the inn and on the spacious property in the country. Our dog enjoyed the owner's two friendly dogs and all the open space on the property! Every morning we were treated to a HUGE, delicious country breakfast (and our dog, a homemade biscuit), then we could sit in the cozy sunroom and enjoy the beautiful snowy scene for a while before heading out to snowshoe on the property or just go for walks. Gizmo, one of the owners' dogs, lead us on some great hikes up the hill on the trail. Smuggler's Notch ski area is nearby so we we were able to try out snowboarding for the first time. And Craftsbury Outdoor Center is a little over an hour's pretty drive from the inn. We went cross-country skiing there. So nice to be able to come back to the inn and get warm by the wood stove in the sunroom! The owners and their staff were so friendly and helpful, we truly felt very welcome here all week. My husband and I have stayed at a lot of "dog-friendly" inns before, but this inn, unlike a lot of others, truly met our every need in terms of value, comfort and fun! Thanks for a wonderful stay!
