Located between mile marker 4 and 5 on the Falmouth Road Race course ,watch the race from the front yard and the 4th of July Fireworks over Falmouth Harbor from the back yard .Located in Falmouth Historic Village Walk to a different restaurant every night. There are 6 rooms on first floor including a bedroom with 1/2 bath, and 5 + bedrooms and 3 full baths on the second floor. There is parking for 4 cars if needed. Bring your bikes of rent and enjoy world class bike path (The Shining Sea Bike Way). This property has large rooms and is ideal for Family reunions or corporate retreats.

Area Description

Surf Drive is very close to Falmouth Center. The Vineyard Sound water is both warm and calm, making it perfect for kids to swim in.

Additionally, tho Old Stone Dock creates a small inlet that is ideal for families with young children. This beach offers scenic views of both Martha's Vineyard and nearby Nobska Light.

Lifeguards are on duty here in-season, and swimming lessons are also available. Facilities include public restrooms, showers and concessions.

Perfect Place!, October 3, 2009

Location, location, location! We couldn't have asked for more in this spacious house. Quick walk to the beach (chairs and towels provided for us), easy walk into town with it's quaint little shops, and easy drive to Martha's Vineyard Ferry. Enjoyed walking along the bike path which runs along the coast (about 1/2 mile from house). The house itself was wonderful. Twelve of us fit comfortably and never felt like we were bumping into each other. Three full bathrooms and 1/2 half were a plus when all trying to get ready and once again towels provided. Laundry available, a plus, but we never used it because only stayed four days. Rooms are spacious and most have wonderful views of the ocean. Ate lunch and dinner together in dining room- table seats 8 but we brought in chairs from the kitchen and fit twelve no problem. Kitchen has everything we could possibly need including large oven and dishwasher. Tv in sitting area and in one bedroom both have extended cable. Easily parked four cars. Sitting area outside was nice and were provided with grill. Owner was accomodating and available to answer any and all questions. Would hightly recommend this house. A+++++++

We rented The Fox house In July of 2009. It was a great place to host a family vacation for 3 generations. The house offered well appointed rooms, a fully stocked kitchen and plenty of space to enjoy. The location was perfect. It was a very short walk to Surfside Beach, a walk to town, and a walk to the marina with close access to the bike trail. Jim gave us info on Woods Hole and Martha's Vineyard, and the troley. We had a wonderful week, and definitely recommend.

I rented the Fox House in Falmouth in July 2008 in order to hold a family reunion. Most of my family were coming from the New York/Long Island area and did not know much about Cape Cod. This house had everything we needed for a wonderful week. We wanted to cook our own meals and the kitchen was perfectly set up for us to cook plus we dined in the huge dining room and even had a lobster bake in the back yard for about 25 of us. We used the house for about 15 of us and the rest stayed in the bed and breakfast across the street. This was a very comfortable approach for our family gathering. And we cannot say enough about the location of being right next to the Beach. Falmouth also turned out to be a very convenient location for our travelers as well as an interesting town to explore.
An added feature was the advice we got from Jim Fox for procuring food from the fishery, exploring Marthas Vineyard, arranging for a foursome at a very nice and exclusive golf course.
This would be a great house to rent for the summer. My family is still talking about our week there and would consider doing it again.
