Description of the Flagler Beach vacation home rental

directly on the ocean --located in Beverly Beach -- just north of Flagler Beach. Remember everything in Flagler Beach is oceanfront--there is a road between the houses and the ocean. Here in Beverly Beach our house has the road in front--less noise, direct walkout to ocean from house. Fantastic views of the ocean from inside the house--huge windows. Views of the intercoastal out the front. Second level balcony completely around the house. The three bedrooms sleep 9--and there are also sofa beds available. One bedroom has twin beds which convert to a King if there are two couples sharing the house. The garage converts to a playroom. We have completely furnished the house with everything you need--all linens, complete kitchen, beach towels, etc. Great balcony overlooking the ocean for reclining or eating; lower walkway--less than 100 feet (to your own private seats on top of the dune; and then down to the ocean. The beach is very private; some days you are the only ones there. But for safe swimming you can go down to the pier where there are lifeguards. Enjoy waking up within 60 feet of the ocean, feel the breeze, watch the birds and dolphins.

Flagler Beach is known as the "the way it used to be". Actually Flagler Beach is a barrier island. There are no fast food restaurants, high rises allowed. In the center of the town of 6,000 is a quaint shopping area called Village Shops--8-10 small shops in original homes of the area. Of course, just by "going over the bridge" there is Palm Coast--typical of all your suburban areas--all the fastfoods, dept stores, banks, etc. Starbucks. You can have the best of both worlds. Flagler Beach is located 30 miles to St. Augustine, 20 miles to Daytona Beach, 80 miles to Orlando, Disney, and Space Center. See it all and return to your beach and serenity at the end of the day.

 Beautiful beach house, April 23, 2009

My sisters and I rented this great place for a girls' trip. The house is right on the beach. The house is perfect for couples or families. The weather was beautiful and we had a great time. This was the most relaxing vacation I've had in a long time.

House was well-appointed and quite comfortable. I'm a native Floridian and was looking for a destination that still had the local vibe to it, without all of the huge condos and such -- Flagler Beach met all of my expectations. Kayaking was fun (we rented Kayaks), walks on the beach great, and the view from the house and upstairs bedroom was awesome. We were able to observe the Right Whales at play, and gorgeous sunrises. This was distant enough to be quiet and relaxed, but close enough to Daytona, St. Augustine, etc., for sight-seeing or movies, if we wished. Very much appreciated that the wireless internet worked so well, as we were combining work with pleasure during this month, and it would have been bad news if it had been amiss. Nice spot for people wanting to relax -- would be great for families or additional couples, as the layout is very spacious, with a bedroom and bathroom on each floor.

IF YOU WOULD LIKE A QUIET LOW KEYED BEACH VACATION, LOOK NO FURTHER. FLAGLER/BEVERLY BEACH LOOKS LIKE ONE OF THOSE OLD OCEAN VILLAGES OUT OF TIME. QUIET;LOCALS ARE FRIENDLY. THE BEACH HOUSE IS PERFECT FOR FAMILY STYLE. BEAUTIFUL GLASS WINDOWS OVERLOOKING OCEAN, GREAT PRIVATE DECKING TO BEACH. NICE NEIGHBORHOOD. WOULD RECOMMEND THIS VACATION SPOT TO ANYONE WANTING REST AND RELAXATION.

 

 Salve for the soul, May 22, 2008

Our six night stay was so serene and peaceful. We were a short drive to Saint Augustine (a full day wasn't enough for all the galleries, museums, restaurants and shopping there.) The time spent in this home - porpoise and whale watching, walking the beach, collecting sea shells, sitting on the private benchs at the end of the walking pier to the clean sand. Well it's a time we'll never ever forget. My favorite activity was doing absolutely nothing, sipping my tea on the back deck, watching the sun come up,the sea animals surfacing and the pelicans soar by. Real Salve for the soul! The french doors to the back and rear decks were so charming. If you are looking for a well appointed charming gem of a beach house and an unobstructed million dollar view of the ocean really lifts your spirits then find a date and pack your bags. You won't be disapointed. Oh and watching the sunrise from the master bed is priceless. We look forward to doing this again. The Riggins of Pennsylvania
