Warm, welcoming, delicious, beautiful
October 21, 2014
My partner and I stayed here for four nights and it was the highlight of our trip to Italy. Meeting Serena and Laura made us immediately feel welcomed. Dinner was scrumptious! Serena's tour of the villa was amazing. She humbly showed us their framed document signed by Napoleon and a centuries old ossuary. We brought hope the indescribably delicious olive oil, made by the Villa, to share. Serena and her family do everything to make your stay outstanding.

This was our first visit to Toscana, and we happened across Villa il Paradisino online. We were fortunate to have done so. Our villa was beautiful; historic, yet with all the modern amenities, and perfectly situated for our exploration of this lovely region. Costanza and Selena and Laura were lovely hosts, helpful to new visitors with advice on good restaurants and strategies for seeing all there was to see. The train station was a 15 minute walk away, and just two stops and 3 euro away for the two of us to the main train station in Florence. Restaurants and shopping in Sesto were also just a few minutes walk away, as was morning coffee and afternoon wine. The Villa itself is loaded with fruit trees and vines, olive groves and other plants. We visited at harvest time and were encouraged to wander out and try the local produce grown on the estate. We enjoyed ourselves immensely at Villa il Paradisino, and plan to come back for another stay. We would encourage others to do so as well.
Historic, beautiful and a great service.

The moment you enter the grounds through the gate, you feel you are in paradise. The roses and blooming citrus trees made the air smell sweet and unforgettable. The main and guest villa is a true treasure. The rooms are decorated tastefully with family antiques. The service was excellent. I stayed in Torre apartment which is the 14 century tower with its original beams and floors. There are two flights of stairs to get to the main floor of the apartment so if you can't use too many steps than this may not be for you. The bedroom was on top floor, the kitchen and a bathroom one floor below. Lots of stairs. Overall my experience was great and I highly recommend the place. The only negative aspect of my stay was the sound of the roosters. There are chickens and roosters on the property. The roosters make laud noise in the middle of the night and again in the morning. I had to close the windows and shutters. It was my every night routine. I didn't get enough sleep. So if you're light sleeper than this my bother you too.
Thank you very much for your kind review.
I'm sorry you were bother by the roosters. I have informed my father about your experience and we decided we'll have less roosters and more hens...so less romantic singing but more sleeping for our guests :)
Thank you again for being our guest.

My family of eight (four 30-somethings, three 60-somethings, and a fifteen-month-old) recently spent a week at Villa il Paradisino. Constanza and Serena are completely deserving of all the glowing reviews they've received here. This spot truly is a little bit of paradise. Even before we arrived, our every question was answered kindly and promptly. Constanza worked with us to set a few activities to enjoy during our stay (don't miss Constanza's cooking class or a tour with Michelangelo) and sent elaborate advice and instructions regarding our travel plans. On the day of our arrival, I felt like I had come to the home of some distant relatives. Constanza and Serena greeted us so warmly, and our rooms were set up with all the comforts of home (if home was a gorgeously remodeled 16th-century estate). As I was traveling with my toddler son, I was nervous about having all the equipment a boy his age needs. I needn't have worried. A comfortable crib for him was already set up in our bedroom. We used three different high chairs during our stay: one in our apartment, one that appeared seemingly out of nowhere the evening we decided to eat dinner on the patio, and one that was waiting for us during the two meals we ate in the main house. On the day the whole family was scheduled to take a private tour to the Chianti wine region, our excellent guide accidentally arrived without a car seat. Not to worry, Constanza and Serena had one in the office for us to use. We stayed in Melograno, Loggetta, and Torre. All the rooms looked like movie sets and were comfortably appointed with crisp linens and beautiful fresh flowers from the property. Every room was beautifully furnished with antiques, but felt comfortable and lived in--not like a museum. The bathroom in Loggetta was definitely the largest/nicest bathroom I've ever seen in any of my travels in Europe. This is a wonderful location if you'd like the Italian villa experience without having to rent a car. The train station is a leisurely 10-15 minute walk away, and from there it's only another 10-15 minutes on the train into Florence. From the villa, you can also easily walk to a grocery store, a few restaurants, gelato, shopping, etc. If you're like me, though, you'll find that the nicest way to spend a day here is reading a book in the garden, chasing the cat around the yard with your son, or drinking a glass of wine with your loved ones on the patio. I hope very much that I will return
Dear Anissa, thank you so much for your words. They touch my heart. I'm very happy you have such a wonderful memory of the time you spent at our home. Thank you for bringing your family at the Villa and to contribute to our dream to keep the property in the family for more generation to come. We very much hope to see you all soon to spend more time together. A big big hug to all of you and many beautiful things for the future of your son

Costanza is a wonderful host very helpful we enjoyed staying at the villa, but we did not appreciated paying for the most expensive villa and were not be able to get it when we got there do to a water leak, to use the nice big bathroom we had to cross the living room and the kitchen cause the restroom in our room was for a kid we did not get a king size bed, and I will not used the Firenze walk on foot tour guided Elena she was way to expensive we didn't know better charged us 150.00 euros for a three hours tour without getting in any of the museum while you can find the same tour for about half price.
Dear Mister and Madame,
Thank you very much for your review.I’m really surprised for your comment.Very surprised as you did not tell me anything about your complain when you were here. And of course I’m really sad to read your words. You booked 4 nights and instead stayed for 5 nights and when you return home you wrote me an email with this words: “Hello Costanza,
Thank you very much for everything we enjoy your Villa and your home town, we got home safe, see you soon”. So I really do not understand.
When you were here, I took care of you in any way that was possible: I walked you to the Delli and help you to buy the best selection of cheese, salami, wines and fruit, for no charge.I came to pick you up at the train station and drove you back at your departure for no payment. One evening I drove you at the restaurant, for no payment.
On your request I organized you the tour with Elena, that is one of the best tour guide in Florence and she charged you euro 50/hour that is the official charge of all the official tour guides. And of course I informed you in advance about this price and you confirmed. The tour you booked was a private tour, just for 2 people, you and your husband. Not a big group tour where the charge for person is lower. Elena and Me also offered to you a glass of wine and some crostini during the tour as both of us thought you were such a sweet couple!
About Giuggiolo apartment where you stayed: you booked Loggetta apartment at the reduced price of euro 150/night (instead of euro 285/night) as I offered to you the possibility to book only a part of this big apartment: one bedroom+kitchen+bathroom+living room as you were just 2 people. Unfortunate the weather was very bad for the whole week before you arrived: lots of wind and heavy rain and just 2 days before your arrival we discovered that there was 3 leaks in the roof of that apartment, 2 in the bedroom and one in the living room. The bricklayers could not come straight away as it was still raining and they could not work on a slippery roof. On your arrival day, finally came the sun and the bricklayers came immediately and you saw them working for 2 days to solve the problem.
I could not give you an apartment where the roof was not repaired and I gave you Giuggiolo apartment for the same reduced price and for the same space (exactly the same sq meters) and number of rooms that you booked in Loggetta apartment…actually in Giuggiolo you had at your disposal 2 bathrooms instead of just one.
In a house of the XV century is quite normal that you have to walk through another room to reach the bathroom, and the bed where you slept was an original four poster bed from the XVII century. I’m sorry at that time there were not king size beds. I have never wrote you about a king size bed, It is not written on the web, anywhere. Why you were expecting a king size bed? I’m sorry I do not know this.
Once again I’m really sad that I was not able to make you happy as I did my job with honesty and dedication.
I hope you will really come back with your family in the near future as you told me and Elena and that we could spend more time together.
Dear Mister and Madame,
I hope this message finds you well in Fort Worth. I did enjoy accompanying you in my hometown Florence and being at your complete disposal to taylor make your itinerary and first visit in Florence. Costanza spoke to me about a very sweet couple of guests and she recommended any special care to arrange for them a customized experience as introductory walk in Florence with me, as official tour guide of Florence.
I offered to directly pick you up at Florence train station instead of meeting you in downtown as a carefull and friendly welcome service.
I asked you several times what preferences you had about areas and timing in order to respect any of your indications.
We visited together Santa Maria Novella district and the historic Antica farmacia profumo farmaceutica, Via Tornabuoni and palazzo Strozzi, Borgo SS Apostoli, Piazza del Limbo, The Lungarni, ponte Vecchio, the Uffizi courtyard, Piazza Signoria, Mercato del porcellino, Piazza Repubblica, Duomo square, the medieval alleys of Florence, sideways and less known enchanted little corners of Florence (a very rich private itinerary). Costanza and I offered you even a Chianti wine glass and crostini to complete this walk in a local historic cellar of Florence.
I will be pleased to accompany you and your family once you get back to Tuscany. At the end of the tour you said you would have wanted to share all this beauty with your family and my promise was to invite you at the best chocolate master in town for a special tasting. I look forward to welcoming you again in my hometown with the same enthusiasm and professionality that makes each private experience unique.
With kindest regards

Costanza and her family couldn't have been nicer. Initially we were a little disappointed to find the Villa was in a large town but after a few days we realised we had the best of both worlds. Tuscany and Florence at our doorstep, ho hum which to choose. The train to Florence took 11 minutes and Chianti took 45 minutes by car. It was a truly magnificant 6 days.

We wanted to have a memorable first trip to Italy this year and we certainly got it. This vacation home was excellent. Easy to get to and very beautiful location. The apartment we rented was a good size and very comfortable. Costanza and her family are welcoming and warm and truly want you to have a great experience at their Villa and in their town. All recommendations that were made were top notch. The kids already miss their Tuscany vacation home - we highly recommend this location for anyone wanting to have a fantastic vacation.

Wow! we were welcomed like a long time friend and treated like family. Bottle of wine, homemade olive oil and fresh eggs from the farm. This is the most beautiful luxury farm apartments- Very safe within private gates - Easy access to the train and the hwy and small shopes for supplies for the apartment. Very clean, beautiful private patio. The host was so helpful with suggestions on what to see or do - We highly recommend one night of her home cook meal Italian style. We hope to travel there again.
Wow! Don't look any farther for a Tuscany villa

This place was incredible. It is like a very large hidden garden in the middle of a very nice village. You are surrounded by all kinds of trees and plants: olive trees, pomegranate trees, lemon and orange trees, persimmon trees and gardens full of all kinds of vegetables. Costanza and her family offered to let us have free broccoli, cauliflower and leeks (the only things in season). She was so helpful with suggestions and maps. And the villa itself is really beautiful and clean and comfortable. Definitely worth the money.

You won't find a more hospitable place to bring your family and friends. The Villas are full of antiques, and fully up to date with modern amenities. My 12 and 17 year old children loved the 12 acres of groves and the family pets that kept watch on the property. A short walk to the local grocery store and you'll find the finest local produce and meats, and Costanza will even cook a meal for you and your family if you wish to opt for the experience. Only a 15 minute walk to the train station, and a short 15 minute ride to the center of Florence. I can wait to reccomend this wonderful place to all my family and friends-I just hope there's room for us next year!

My family and I stayed at Villa Il Paradisino for 1 week in July 2008. It was by far, the BEST experience any of us have ever had. All the apartments have been lovingly restored to create a traditional Tuscan feel but with the best of modern luxuries. The gardens are out of this world! Rolling green gardens with the most beautiful flowers, trees and vegetables. We had a 5 year old and a 3 year old who could roam around safely with us knowing there is no way they could escape! We ate fresh salad and vegetables from the gardens every day and cooked them in the fresh herbs we could pick from outside our patio doors. Constanza cooked us a traditional Tuscan meal and it was the best food we ever tasted! It was a total experience! The Location is PERFECT. We walked to the train station and within 10 mins we were in the centre of Florence, and Sienna and Chianti are close. Constanza and her family are the perfect hosts in every way. If you ever plan on visiting Italy, you MUST MUST stay here
Perfect Tuscan Holiday

We just returned from a wonderful stay the Villa Paradisino. I can't say enough great things about it. It was even more beautiful than the pictures! Extremely clean, spacious and wonderful! Costanza is an excellent concierge....as well as cook, property manager--you feel like you are visiting an old friend. I highly recommend her dinners. My only regret is that I did not take a cooking class from her. We were a large family of 8--3 generations ranging from 9 to 78 years old. We stayed in Il Gelso, and had plenty of room. Everyone loved every minute of our stay. It is in a perfect location to Florence and wine country. A great respite after a day of sightseeing or shopping. Villa Paradisino is a perfect place for your Tuscan holiday!

My husband & I spent six nights at Villa Paradisio and had a wonderful time. The room & bathroom were very clean and comfortable, the gardens were beautiful, but the best part of our time there was Costanza and her family. They were so helpful and could not do enough to make us welcome. They gave us alot of advise as to where to go in Florence and the surrounding area. We had a great vacation and would not hesitate to recommend this Villa to anyone. Costanza set us up with a tour guide who took us around the countryside for one day, and the rest of the time we got around by train eliminating the need to rent a car. We had a wonderful breakfast every morning before we got on our way to the days activities. I hope to get back there soon. Margaret & Darrell Scrivens

Romantic Italian Paradise
October 15, 2007
From the moment the gate swings inward to the Villa il Paradisino, you are transported back to a time of relaxation and romance. The feeling of welcome from the Filippi family, the historic beauty of the property and the authentic feel of the rooms and furnishings made us wish never to leave such a wonderful place. Costanza and her family accommodated our every wish for adventure; a walking tour of Florence with Francesca, riding horses in the hills of Serpoille with Mauro, and cycling in the hills of San Gimignano with Bruno were just a few things made possible for us. Our favorite was the cooking lesson with ingredients from the villa itself that allowed us to create a living memory to take home as our rememberance of such a magical place. Whether you desire a release from the chaos of your life, time to reconnect with family, or a romantic escape, this is the place to be in all of Italy!! Let Costanza and her family help you to create the vacation of a lifetime. We're glad we did!
