Description of the Florence vacation cabin rental
Book any weeknights (Sun-Thurs) from Apr 1 through May 31, (excluding any weeks with Holidays), and get the Curved Sea Cabin for ONLY $79 A NIGHT! (Two night minimum stay and other policies still applicable.)
A short walk to the beach, this beautiful A-frame cabin has curved walls made of solid knotty-pine wood. Cathedral ceilings accompanied by the sound of the ocean give a wonderful feel to the two bedrooms upstairs, which are supplied with down pillows and comforters.
The centerpiece of the cabin is a large, beautiful, stone fireplace. The warmth of an evening fire combined with the gently curving walls of this cabin help to bring family and friends together in a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere.
A large back deck and back yard offer up the sounds of the ocean. You'll share the back yard with several species of birds, including hummingbirds, who frequent the area. The cabin is two blocks from beautiful Heceta Beach which provides miles of white sand and driftwood for long or short walks.
Ten minutes north of the cabin are the Sea Lion Caves, the world's largest sea cave. Slightly further is Heceta Head, the West Coast's most photographed lighthouse. Tide pools with sea anemones and star fish abound.
Area Information
The town of Florence nearby is filled with quaint shops, restaurants and a boardwalk overlooking a marina.
Golfers will enjoy the nearby 18-Hole Sandpines Golf Links (this award-winning course has received accolades from such high-profile magazines such as Golf Digest & Golfweek).
The Oregon Dunes Recreation Area (with some of the largest dunes in the world) is only a short drive south of the cabin. With miles of beaches, prolific estuaries, mature conifer forests, & cool, fish-filled Lakes, the coast here provides terrific opportunities for hiking, fishing, & birding.

cozy cabin by the sea

we had a short 2 day stay at this little cabin by the sea, although we never got the chance to walk down to the beach it was nice to listen to the ocean waves when we were sitting on the back porch. The cabin has a full kitchen but we chose to use the microwave less cleanup that way, a large washer and dryer and a fireplace but we never used it. we had a real good time at this little cabin by the sea. Would definitely stay here again

We had a great stay at the curved cabin by the sea! Perfect location for a walk to the beach and the sweetest fireplace for a night in. The kitchen had good amenities for cooking and the arched cabin was truly a gem by the sea. Will definitely rent the cabin again!

My boyfriend and I and our pup stayed at the Curved Sea Cabin over a long February weekend. The stone fireplace kept us warm, the kitchen was well equipped, the shelves were piled with games, and the the TV set up for DVDs. We loved walking along Heceta Beach, exploring Old Town Florence, and climbing the sand dunes!

The cabin is super cute and well-appointed for cooking, fires, and cleaning up after yourself. New sponges would be nice, but other than that just perfect. Great location with wonderful things to see and do all around.

The Curved Sea Cabin was inviting from the moment we walked in the door. Plenty of room for four adults. The cabin is rustic as it should be, very clean and neat and the area was quiet. The bedrooms are both upstairs, very charming rooms. The stairs were very fitting for the unique cabin, they are slightly narrow and could be a bit of a challenge. The fireplace made the trip... there is nothing better than a fire on a cold winter day.

I've been made to promise to keep this entry clean and devoid of any specific details that might incriminate us embarrass us at future dates. As such, I will then profess that I am a master-fire-builder. It was a well made, perfectly warm, hypnotic bunch of flames. It was capped off with a delightful '95 red. Tammy then proceeded to completely kick my butt in backgammon.
This morning we slept in - It felt great! Tammy went for coffee while I began cooking breakfast. She returned just in time to help me finish up the scrambled eggs. They were scrumptious! We've packed the car and are headed to the beach for the afternoon. It is a wonderful cabin - thank you.

How Lovely - this cabin, the beach the silver clouds curtaining the moon. The presence of a fire has added new levels to an already high weekend among familial friends. Thanks to Randall for the taste and trust and the working washer/dryer. The guest book reminds me of trail registers along the Appalachian Trail - allows me to feel that I'm stepping into a community based around the coast and the fireplace. Barbaric Yawp and all that.

Fresh air indeed! 50 mph winds are exhilarating - Orion shines brightly and the the winds HOWLED...During heavy gusts you can pitch your body forward and the wind will actually hold you up! It's a kick! Alan dubbed it "Blustery" I'm still thinking of a descriptive word - blustery is too tame! Words like gale force and torrential come to mind! I think I'm using writing in this book as an excuse to not go out there - I was getting psyched - but the downpour increased and is coming down in "sheets". Warm fireplace or driving rain...decisions, decisions. I'll assume slumbering Alan on the couch is expressing his vote! Oh well - I'm venturing out - probably not for long! Mother nature extended a welcome and it stopped raining - bit of BLUE SKY - dark black cloud to the north. Got in an hour of walking and no rain!

Our long awaited - long overdue trip to the coast finally came after a lot of carefull planning. All the build up and excitement wondering what the place we're staying at will be like is alomst as much fun beforehand. Expectations can be scary though, if you've ever been let down before.

We certainly enjoyed staying here in this cozy, homey house. We loved it!!! Since I was raised her in Florence if was like coming home. We enjoyed the peace and quiet without outside interruptions - phones, people, pagers, etc, etc. This place gives one time to reflect on life itself and the need to get back to what life should be.

A wonderful place to come and be situated for a period of time. The jigsaw puzzle of the barn kind of swept us along timewise, and of course playing at the beach. The girls made a play area way back in the dunes where I never took the time to venture before. It's very quiet in the low spots and the view on top of the bluff is a good one. While sitting on a pretend wooden chair above where the girls were creating their house I was playing with the sand and noticed how pretty it is and so consistently colored.

Cozy, charming, comfy...not enough adjectives to describe this homey cabin. I felt every muscle relax as I entered. I think I shall enjoy many more birthdays and good times here. Thank you again for sharing your home.

Beautiful day! Thank-you! Thank-you! We laughed and cried. Nothing changed after all these years. Sitting in front of the fire sharing our fears and our desires. Tina's as blind as a bat, Max fat as a healthy rat, and me, gravity has taken his toll. My belly's round as a big jelly bowl. Needless to say 'tis a very good day. I will return to this humble palace. Soooo very comfortable. I don't want to leave.

Great week - Rode our blasters in the sand dunes most of Monday - went for a ride in a seaplane Tuesday - Got stuck on the beach with our dogs in a huge storm (45 mph winds, rain) on Wednesday, discovered the Ralph Lauren outlet store in Lincoln city on Thursday. We can't wait to come back.
