Enjoyable Vacation

We were very pleased with this vacation rental. The size and location of the home were perfect! We had six people and were able to spread out when we needed, but enjoyed lounging together as well. The owners had put a lot of effort in making this rental relaxing and comfortable. The decor was very interesting and we were able to give the young people in our group a lesson in art as well an enjoy many of the paintings/ pictures. The Welcome Bucket of goodies was a nice surprise and again, our young people learned another perk of vacationing this way as opposed to a hotel stay. We were very excited about all the games provided although we didn't stay long enough to get to play them. The only reason I did not give this rental a 5 was the condition of refrigerator. Even though the rental was older, it was very clean and comfortable. Also - Thank You for making check in/ out extremely easy. The last time I stayed at Folly, we used one of the rental agencies and had a difficult time getting checked in and getting the key. All being said - I would rate this a 4.75 if possible!

That's funny because we had another frig that just didn't keep things cold, so we opted for the older "vintage" frig and feel it goes with the cottage feel, AND it works much better. Our family of 6 (five adults, plus one adult guest) tremendously enjoyed this Folly Beach vacation house! First of all, it's located right across the street from the beach, with a beach view and beach access close by. Not only was it clean, but there was plenty of room for all of us to spread out and thoroughly enjoy ourselves. We always travel with air mattresses (for those who get better sleep alone) and there was plenty of room for three. Loved the beachy, artistic decor! The kitchen was stocked (we made many meals there), and we enjoyed both the front and back decks for sunning and just plain relaxing. The owners' welcoming and gracious communication was always immediate (very much appreciated), and they welcomed us with a lovely guest gift, too. (FYI - there is no internet access; too many routers were stolen so the owner gave up trying to provide that service. Our smartphones gave us all the access we needed.) We were all extremely comfortable and happy to be there. Both the house and its owners ensured we experienced a lovely and comfortable Folly Beach vacation. We will surely be back :-)

I loved the classic look of this beach house. Yes, it was old but it had so much character. My only complaint would be that the yard could your some landscaping, but other than that I plan on staying again in December.

Our stay was great. House is very nice, the pictures do not do it justice. Our kids enjoyed playing the board games each evening after the beach. A small vacuum would be helpful to clean up loose sand from the beach. Cant wait to come back!!

Right on the Beach

This house is a half of block from the beach. Access was easy and the beach was quiet, relaxing. The town of Folly reminds me of what Florida used to be, non-commercial and away from it all with the convenience of Charleston 15 minutes away. The house itself could use a little updating, but too much updating and it would be beyond an affordable vacation for my family. The owners were easy to communicate with, responsive and attentive to our needs.
