Good value and close to beach

January 25, 2012

Took the family for a winter getaway and found a nice relaxing home not far from the beach. Public access was a short five minute walk and the beaches were clean and groomed. It was very quiet and we essentially had the beach to ourselves. The only drawback is the lack of restrooms. Within a half mile was a shopping plaza with Dunkin Donuts, Baskin Robbins, a grocery store, pizza shop, pharmacy, and a couple of other restaurants. With three boys under the age of 10 we were hoping to be able to walk places. This worked perfect for a quick trip for ice cream. The only drawback is that the pool is not heated and very cold in January. We were hoping that we could relax at the house and let the boys swim and play but that wasn't an option. It was our first trip down to the Ft. Lauderdale/Miami area and we will definitely return.
