Description of the Fort Morgan vacation cottage rental
The great room has a beautiful view of the gulf/beach for dolphin and bird watching. The bedrooms are bright with the fresh feel of a tropical sea side theme.
The screened in porch is cozy for reading and afternoon naps and is perfect for dining morning breakfast,lunch and dinner.
The bright and cheerful deck is large enough for sunbathing and perfect for dancing or dining under the stars. Our K-9 children loves the deck at night.
The bathrooms are colorfully decorated/updated and very clean.
All closet are large and 2 are walk-ins.
The laundry room is very large with a full size washer/dryer and laundry sink. There are shelves for extra storage.
Area Information
The feel of the salt air in the morning wakes you up. In the early evening you can smell dinner from fellow neighbors grilling out while watching kids ride their bikes on this small beach road.
In the summer kids fly their kites in the early evening while parent walk their k-9 children on the beach.
Warning in the summer you may hear laughter of children playing at night trying to catch crabs with their nets and flashlights.
* Listen out for the ice-cream truck in the summer time you may miss him!
If you like quite & privacy, the fall and winter is perfect for you.
Theres the historical Fort at the end of Ft.Morgan road and a Ferry that takes you to Dolphin Island. Just recently a 150 year old mysterious ship has been uncovered on the beach by Ike about 3 miles from Ponce De Leon Ct.
The sea bird are fun to watch and My favorite is the Dolphin passing in the morning around 10:00 am and they pass back through around 4:00pm. They come close enough to touch sometimes.
Bring a camera because the the Gulf Ocean water changes everyday, sometimes it blue to blue green and the wave are soft breaking to loud splashing.
Also, bring a telescope because its the perfect place to watch for fallen stars.
All the season on Ponce De Leon are wonderful it just a personal choice of what your looking for. You'll have to experience it to know and love it.

Great house with a great view!!

We loved our stay at the Lucky Dog Beach House. My husband and I along with 2 of our daughters and 3 of our grandchildren stayed from May 25th to June 1. The only thing that would have been better was if our oldest daughter and her family could have been there with us. The house is very well decorated and is just like the pictures show it . We loved the deck and the screened in porch and really loved the swing!!! Matter of fact, I took a nap in it one day. We love the Ft. Morgan area, not as congested as Gulf Shores and Orange beach. We do not mind the drive back into Gulf Shores, we have lots of fun while we are in the car together, nothing like listening to your grandchildren sing to you, andacting silly. Praying that we will be able to make it back to Ft. Morgan next year. We would highly recommend this house to anyone coming to the Ft. Morgan area for some peace and quiet. Great sunsets, great walking on the beach and our grandchildren love to be on the beach at nights to catch the crabs. Then they always release them after the fun of the catch is over. You will fall in love with the house. It is equipped with about everything you will need to cook. The caretaker is so friendly and lets you know to call anytime if something comes up with the property. I gave this a 5 star and truly mean it. We thank Lisa for allowing us to stay in her beautiful Lucky Dog Beach House. God bless you!

Please let us know if we can do anything to improve. Every year we try to add or improve Lucky Dog. This fall we hope to add a King size bed to the master bedroom, instead of the Queen.

This home in great! It is across a very small street from the ocean. There is an excellent view from the master bedroom which opens onto the screened porch and a good view from the great room which opens onto the deck. Just walk across the street and the beach is there. There are so many extras in this home, it is like being at your own home instead of a rental house. They have thought of everything for you and your dog. All you really need to bring is your food and beach supplies. The screen room was the highlight of the entire trip. I spent many hours there watching the dolphins, the serenity of the ocean waves and the occasional fly overs of the Blue Angels. My granddog also loved it, with the chaise just for him! I have rented many places from Orange Beach to Fort Morgan and this was not the fanciest, but was by far the cleanest and the most welcoming of any. The owner was easy to rent from and Brad was great! I will certainly rent this home again. Thanks for such a relaxing week.

We had a wonderful experience at the Lucky Dog. It had all the comforts of home, which was just what we were looking for with our four girls. Having the screen porch and the space under the house was perfect considering some of our weather wasn't. The outdoor shower and laundry room were put to good use also. Thank you Lisa for sharing your home with us and for all your wonderful suggestions of things to do in the area - the girls loved Tacky Jacks for dinner!

This was a very pleasure stay for us other than the slightly cool weather. The unit was very clean and just right for the two of us and our two one-year old Rat Terriers. They had a good time for their first trip to the beach. We visit Fort Morgan at least once a year and usually rent a larger house as our group is sometime ten or so people and several dogs. We will rent Lucky Dog again for a smaller group trip.

All my family including my dog had a great time.. Only one day of rain.enjoyed that day also Kitchen has everythig avaiable'. Great walkig on the beach. Plenty of entertaimemt. Everything needed for a Fun Filled Vacation. Ages three months to 78 all concur with my review. .

THE Place for a FULL Family Experience

What a perfect place for a family get-away. 5 Adults & 5 Doggies - 3 were large Goldens! God Bless the owner who does not mind big dogs to also be a part of vacation. This is the one place where size/weight was not restrictive. Area is perfect too! No tall Condo's, no crowded beach - in middle of July! There was room for every family. Our two Jr Goldens fetched the bumper and swam every day. The people we met were so nice and caring. This is one of only a few places we have found where you don't have to board up or leave behind members of your family because they are over a certain weight. We plan to continue to come back as often as we can. The house is very clean and well maintained. The people who manage the place are just top-notch. They want you to relax and enjoy yourselves, not intrude.

Our family ( 4 adults, 3 teenagers, and 1 rat terrier dog ) had a wonderful time the week we stayed at Lucky Dog. Not only was our dog lucky, but we were lucky , too, to find this place. This was the best beach rental we have ever had. The house is decorated so pretty, and is homey and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you could possibly need. We loved the deck and screen porch and spent much of our time there watching and listening to the waves, waving back to people walking, and just enjoying the sound and wonderful view. We ate breakfast out there , and I am really missing that view this week. I can highly recommend Lucky Dog. It's great ! Kay and Jack Finley

We had the best time at the Lucky Dog! We love this place. This was our second time staying here and we will never stay anywhere else. The house is beautifully decorated and has a great view to the ocean and it is also a great place if you have dogs. Brad and Lisa are wonderful people to know and Brad is always there if you have a problem, though there has never been a reason for us to call him. Everything about this place is perfect and it is very affordable. Thanks Brad and Lisa for allowing us to rent your vacation home! We look forward to another vacation there next year. Big thank you to Lisa and Brad for the use of this house and being so helpful. After traveling 14 hours with our 3 grandsons ages 2,3, and 4 and a yorkie we found this house so warm and inviting, you really thought of everything down to the kiddie pool for the little ones, the boys loved hunting for crabs at night and were so excited to see the dolphins at play. Loved the deck and the people and neighbors were really friendly. We loved the laid back feeling of everyone there. Our Yorkie loved that there were toys for him as well. If you are thinking of renting this place you wont be disappointed. It is everything you will want and need and more in a vacation home on the beach. Our family have a wonderful time and we hope to return again soon!!! Thanks Lisa and Brad!!!!

We had a great week at Lucky Dog. The home was even better than we expected. Our group included 2 adults, 4 teens and a dachshund. The home is so family and pet friendly. We had a wonderful week at the Lucky Dog Home. Our home was beautiful, the view of the ocean was great, and our dog had the best vacation of all. We walked him every morning and every evening for over an hour each time. He loved chasing the birds,greeting the people, and seeing the dolphins (actually we enjoyed seeing the dolphins the most). We highly recommend this home and the location. Going back next year for a longer stay.

This house has so much love. It felt like staying at a relative's house. Everything so warm and inviting and the PORCH!!! Loved the porch and the view to the beach. Such a quiet retreat! Definitely a repeater.

WOW!! The house was just as beautiful as the photos on the website. Everything we could have needed or wanted was provided. It really felt like home and not just a place to stay. Our "baby", Maggie, felt right at home shortly after we arrived. It was really dog friendly. The view was amazing and only a few steps to the beach. This was the greatest week and a fantastic house! It has everything. Wonderful home and Lisa and Brad are gret to work with. You can't ask for more. Our family had a blast and my 2 grandsons loved this vacation!

This house was well accommodating for both my family and dog. It was clean and inviting. I would definetely stay at this place again. The home owner was wonderful to work with and there were no problems. It was everything she advertised it to be and much more.

We had an awesome time. We had six adults, three young children and an infant, and everyone was Happy! The accomodations were perfect -- enough area to play, to eat, and not bump into each other. Morning coffee on the deck to watch the dolphins was a great way to start the day each morning. The kids loved the play area under the house and in the back. The beach is just steps away and made it easy on the family to come and go for lunch and snacks; and the area is so family oriented, we werenever afraid to let our children go by themselves back to the house. As my husband put it, "This is one of the best vacations I have ever had." And, we hope to make it an annual family event. Thanks Brad & Lisa!

Our family recently stayed at the Lucky Dog beach house. What an awesome vacation we had. We saw dolphins each morning from the deck and the home provided all we needed to feel like we were at home. We look forward to returning. Thank you Lisa and Brad for opening your home to us.

We had a fabuous time at the Lucky Dog. The house was in a fantastic location, and accomodations were teriffic!! Kitchen had every appliance you can imagine, which was great for me!!! Teenage girls had a blast as did our Jack Russell, Kitty. Saw so many dolphins every morning, and they were swimming really close so we could see them well. Brad was so nice and helpful with anything we needed. Can't wait to come back.

Our experience at Lucky Dog was AMAZING!! The house is so charming and full of personality. We loved the 2 porches,the screened in porch really comes is handy if you get a shower. The hammock and swing were nice to have in the evening for relaxation. Nice view of the beach, dolphins every day and really BIG waves to ride on. Thank you for letting us stay at your wonderful beach home-equipped with everything you need for a great trip! Hope to stay again!

All dogs will think they have gone to haven getting to stay at this beautiful, professionaly decorated and super clean beach cottage! You will enjoy the inside of this house as much as the dogs too as it is equipted as well as your own home! What an amazing experiance to sit at the dining table watching the dolphins playing in the mornings at breakfast! The beach was a dream come true for our two yellow labs everything from getting to run off leash full blast down it, to wave jumping and swimming, to body surfing to get back up on the beach! They also loved chasing the schools of fish and tried to catch them! The water was pristine and clear all the way out and nothing on the bottom or anywhere but pure white sugar fine sand! I'm from the coast and the beach met my expectations! There were also plenty of shore birds and sea shells. The owners are wonderful and a delight to talk with, Lisa and Brad thank-you so much for everything, everyone in our party truly felt like our stay was a blessing!We will certainly be back soon!

Once again, an awesome time at Lucky Dog Beach Home in Fort Morgan! I almost hate to write how great it is and keep this place all to ourselves! :) Lisa and Brad are great to work with and the house makes you feel like you're staying at a friends home. The beaches are great, and the very best part is we get to bring Mac and Rosie with us! They love the beach as much as we do. Definitely, a summer tradition we plan on carrying on for a long time!

Our family of 8 and two small dogs were very comfortable in the Lucky Dog house. The walk across the beach access road was perfect. You could see and hear the ocean from the decks. The description of the property was so perfect....right down to the ice cream truck that came by everyday. Brad and Lisa were very accomodating to our needs and answered all of our questions. Our dogs felt right at home there and we will definitely return again for vacation! The Horsman's

We got MUCH more than we expected when we arrived at the Lucky Dog beach cottage! This is truly a dog and family friendly house. The decks are GREAT with a beautiful view. The beach is just steps away. The house has all amenities you could possibly need!! The owner and her brother Brad are extremly accomidating. If you are looking for a vacation that is completly stress free this is the property you should choose.

Me and my fiance well now husband, came down to Gulf Shores to get married and picked this house so we could bring our 2 dogs down with us because it wouldn't be a wedding with out all of our loved ones. The house was FANTASTIC!!! Our dogs loved the fenced in balcony and it was the perfect size for us. You have a perfect view of the beach and ocean, I honestly can not think of one bad experience I had with this house. The family who own the house were fantastic to work with. They were super friendly and so helpful and very kind. I honestly think if it weren't for this house our wedding would not have been as perfect as it was. I hope that me and my husband get to return to the house next year to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. We were so lucky to stay at the lucky dog beach home!!!

Lucky Dog beach home is beautiful, peaceful, comfortable and well supplied with all the essentials and then some. But most of all, it is so welcoming. We felt right at home, (and wished it was our home)like we were honored guests, not weekend renters. The owners have done everything possible to accomidate any and all needs. The weather was cold, but we walked along the beach and the view of the Gulf and the sounds of the waves was wonderful. And since Lucky Dog was so inviting and comfortable, staying in was wonderfully enjoyable, too. We hope to be able to go back often.

We adjusted our expectations because the price was fair, but 4 roaches greeted us the first night. There were several places the ceiling paint had chipped and fallen. But it was spacious and the view was magnificent, and we loved the covered deck. Just needs some routine updating and maintenance.

This was our second time staying at Lucky Dog and as usual it was awesome! From the ease of booking with Lisa to getting the key from Brad, it is a pure delight working with such professional people. The house is like a decorator show house- - and so clean you would NEVER guess the house is dog friendly. We love coming here and plan on doing so for many years to come. Lucky Dog was just great! From beginning to end, dealing with Lisa, Brad and finally enjoying the house...all a great experience. We will DEFINITELY come back. The house was incredible, decorated in such a fun, happy way. Everything you need was there. Perfect! The beach was awesome, clean, quiet and best of all Dog Friendly! We had as much fun as watching our dogs on the beach as we had! It's great to be able to find such an incredible property that also allows dogs. Thank You!! Saw a lot of things while snorkeling, lots of dolphin sitings, both from the beach and from the deck. Can't say enough great things about Lucky Dog!! Will definitely be back and will definitely recommend to anyone that asks!

Alothough we had no dogs to bring, this house really made us feel like "lucky dogs"! I loved the screened in porch! No other house on the block offered this. It was especially awesome during the few rain showers we had. No one else on the block was still able to enjoy the ocean during a storm like we were. The master bath wasn't even pictured on the website, but was the best part of the house... probably b/c it was mine! Thanks, Brad, for being so considerate and helpful. I really enjoyed your sense of humor!

We are so thankful we had the opportunity to stay at the Lucky Dog beach house. We had an amazing vacation and can not wait to return to Lucky Dog. The weather could not have been better and the views were amazing. The location and all the accommodations were perfect for our needs. It was so peaceful and relaxing. We spent most of our time on the beach or the porch. Our dog enjoyed the beach for the first time. She loved it and the dog friendly accommodations. Daily we reflect on how much fun we had. Working with the owner and her brother was a pleasant experience. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing vacation

The best vacation our family has ever experienced. We arrived in Gulf Shores extremely early the first day of our vacation (5:00am to be exact)and the owners brother met us with a key!! The level of service we received from the owners of this vacation home is far above the 5 stars allotted for this post. The house is incredible with everything you could possibly need for a great vacation. The location is Heaven and the value UNBEATABLE!! We had the beach to ourselves - miles of it! The fishing was awesome and the tranquility of the location is absolutely UNMATCHED!! Our family of 5 had way more than enough room and the views of the Gulf from the deck are breathtaking. We will be back again and again, Guaranteed. I have traveled all over this country and can honestly say that this beach house and it's location is #1 on my list of getaways. We are already looking forward to next year. A++++++

This beach cottage is the best place we have ever stayed at on the beach. The house was beautiful! The family that owns the house are so nice and easy to work with. We will definately be back again and again! Our dog loved it too! The view was awesome from the deck. Nothing, and I do mean nothing could have been better. From the moment we walked in the door we feel in love with this place. I almost didn't want to write a review, because I want to keep the property a secret just for me!
