Fort Myers Beach occupies all of what is known as Estero Island, just 10 miles from both downtown Fort Myers and the Southwest Florida International Airport. The islands south side faces the Gulf of Mexico and has miles of beaches. However, the best beach in the area is on Lovers Key in the state park on the island. This is an excellent place if you are at all interested in nature as there are many birds living in the mangrove forests here. This also happens to be a great spot for shelling. The Estero Bay side of the island is best viewed by boat or kayak, either of which may be rented in the area. There are many uninhabited keys within the bay that play host to hundreds of different species of birds, plants and mammals. If you are interested in fishing you can simply cast a line from the piers and docks here in Fort Myers Beach or you can arrange a charter fishing guide to help you land the big one. If you are interested in seeing the coastline a bit more some popular day trips include Sanibel and Captiva Islands to the north or Naples to the south. The shopping and dining scene on Fort Myers Beach is excellent. There are many shopping plazas along the island from Times Square in the north to Lover s Key in the south. And after a busy day enjoying Estero Island you can watch the sunset in the western sky from your own vacation home in Fort Myers Beach.

Reviews for this vacation condo rental in Fort Myers Beach, Florida
I returned on Mon and am getting acclimated just in time to leave again on Sat for Montreal and Quebec City for a total of 9 days. My stay at your charming little condo was soooooo rejuvenating! I came back feeling like a new person. In addition to my very comfortable surroundings, I most enjoyed the jet ski eco-tour, getting within inches of the dolphins and the manatees. I was also fascinated by the school of young sting rays that would pass in front of the condo! The water front location was the best, the ocean being the temp of bath water!! I've forwarded your link to many and am telling everyone!
Thank you for accommodating my stay in every way. Angela's personal touch made all the difference!
Sincerely,
Kandis
I just wanted to tell you that we made it back to Wales,WI after spending a
wonderful vacation in Ft.Myers Beach,FL at your condo at the Shores. I LOVED
IT!!!!!! We had beautiful weather and we got to know the area like it was our
home away from home. We absolutely loved the view from the condo and I wouldn't
have changed a thing. I love the decora and color scheme you used to decorate
the condo and I must say the mirrors in the living room add SOOOOOOOO MUCH.
We left the condo exactly how we found it when we arrived. I did all the wash
except for the sheets and raised the temp to 80 degrees. I'm sorry to hear you
have your condos up for sale!!!!
Thank you so much for allowing us to rent your condo. I just wish I could have
stayed longer!
Keep in touch.

Returned home yesterday from 'The Shores' to a chilly London @ 30 F (minus 1 C).
What a shock to the system having enjoyed a Floridian 85 F for virtually our entire stay, and what a wonderful stay it was in your lovely condo which is probably the best that we've had in our 25 odd years of visiting the USA..
If you will have us, all remains OK and God willing, we look forward to returning about the same time next year.
Thanks again and wishing you both a happy Thanksgiving holiday.

Alan & Theresa Mead

Just wanted to drop you an email to say what a great time we had renting your condo on the beach. The weather was perfect....upper 80's and low 90's. It's a great condo and we loved the location. Ron had a super time fishing out front a couple afternoons. He stood out in waist-deep water and used the shrimp bait from Publix just to see what he could catch. He released everything. I floated around on an air mattress and he'd show me the fish as he caught them. Some were really colorful.
We also did a fishing charter that went out 25-28 miles thru Getaway Marina, from 9am to 3pm. We caught a bucketful of fish which we gave away since we were leaving the next day. It was fun seeing the fish. I caught a puffer fish and also a black grouper that wasn't large enough to keep. The keepers were called "grunts" because of the noise they make--they were pretty with bluish stripes. We caught 12 - 14 of them.
We had fun going to Stan's on Marco Island on the Sunday afternoon. Great people watching, music to dance to and the food was excellent. Have you checked that place out? There's a good crowd there on a Sunday afternoon.

My sister and I really enjoyed our stay in The Shores condo. It was great to relax and just get away from it all, and the condo was the ideal place. Thanks again and we will definitely go back for another visit. We loved the area, and only wish that our time had not been cut short.

We want to thank you for letting us share your little piece of
paradise this past week. It was absolutely beautiful and we were even
able to see dolphins at sunset. Thanks again, we hope to
return/recommend it to friends looking to stay in the Fort Myers area.

Arriving home Tuesday night officially marked the end of our vacation. Your condo was absolutely gorgeous and well beyond our expectations. Our week at the beach was wonderful with your condo providing us with a comfort zone at the end of each and every sun filled day. Your decor is very inviting and relaxing which made us feel like we were home, only with far better ambiance.
Both of us will refer your property to anyone considering a visit to Ft. Meyers Beach. We will surely be in contact with you for our future vacations.
Thank You
Patricia & Jeff Kappele
We just recently returned from our trip to Florida.Your condo at "The Shores" was a wonderful respite. The accomodations were lovely and the weather could not have been better. The fact that Publix was directly across the street was an added perk.Thank you for the opportunity to visit the west coast of Florida. We are looking forward to visiting the area in the future and hope to have the opportunity to stay in #204 again.
Sincerely,
Margaret and Bob Moss
Your condo at the Shores is beautiful. Everything looked new, and I made sure to clean it before I left yesterday. My week was awesome, even with a slight visit from Tropical Storm Ernesto. On Sunday and Monday I snorkelled across from 'Tween Waters Inn on Captiva as the ocean was crystal clear, warm and calm....shelling was terrific those two days. I have 8 more years until retirement, and I know in my heart that I will be spending quite a lot of time in the area during the low season as it is my favorite spot in the world.
Thanks again for everything, and I will be passing along your info to friends and family so they can see how beautiful Ft. Myers Beach is.
Sincerely,
Nancy
Well, we got back into Madison this evening after a week of paradise! We ABSOLUTELY LOVE the Shores condo! In fact, we were the only ones in the entire building for most of the vacation. We didn't even miss the pool. Why would we when we have the ocean only 30' from the condo, right?!?!
Anyway, everything was great. The condo was spotless and full of little amenities like laundry soap, scotch tape, a brand new hair dryer, and a bunch of other stuff. We really appreciated all the little things that made our stay so enjoyable. Thanks a bunch!
We would love to be able to stay at the condo again next summer. It's too early to decide on any specific dates yet. couldn't figure it out.We were enthralled by the dolphin clock and the chimes that went off every hour. We couldn't wait to hear what song was going to play.
Thanks again.
Cindy Johnson and Terry Sharp
Will be in touch with you again soon.
Many thanks again.
Pat
You were right about loving the condo at The Shores!! The views were wonderful and relaxing. Your condo is beautiful. We enjoyed the colors and soft textures. We were the only people in the complex that week!
