Pet Friendly House on Beautiful Fort Myers Beach (#37186)

Write a review Jill and David were great. When they say everything is provided, everything is provided. They were helpful with restaurants and activities. The dogs had plenty of room too, which was a plus for us. We will definitely will be back!!! It was great meet to meet Jill and David. As soon as we got there, they made us feel rigt at home. Everything exceeded our expectations. They provided everything we needed for the house and to make us feel very comfortale and enjoy our time there. We can't think of anything that could be better, the location was great, the beach was great, everything was perfect. Maia, our Golden Retriever, also loved staying there. As soon as we get a chance we will be back. Jill, Dave, & Christy, are great. They are perfect host & hostess. The home is great: spotless, quiet, great location, everything is in top shape, spacious, all the amenities you would want or need. They have thought of everything to make your vacation as comfortable as possible. All you need is yourself & your personal items. The beach is beautiful, but if you get tired of the sand they have made arrangements for you to go to the Diamond Head Resort where you can lounge at the pool & enjoy food & drinks from the poolside resturant. We enjoyed it all. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation except it was only 7 days. We would have loved to stay longer. It was so relaxing & "homey". We could not have found a better place to stay. We are already planning to go back next year! We highly recommend this vacation home. Our stay at Jill and David’s home was phenomenal! Seven days in their quiet, spacious, comfortable home made the stay feel even longer. Having all the amenities of home removed the stress of having to always get out of a hotel room and “do something”. We actually found ourselves lounging around the house or enjoying part of the day on the beautiful screened porch. Jill and David’s home is in quiet residential spot just steps from a really nice “low traffic” section of dog friendly Ft Myers beach. Canoe and nature trails can be found just blocks from the home and Lover’s Key State Park is only moments away by car or trolley. Best of all was having our dog Snubby along for the trip. She loved the beach and being someplace new with Mom and Dad. We can’t thank Jill and David enough for being one of the few places in Florida to offer pet friendly stays in Florida; it really is a treasured service. I highly recommend a stay at the Cofer home, you will not be disappointed. Jill & Dave’s house is awesome! We enjoyed the short walks to the beautiful beach plus the house had enough room to relax & enjoy time together. We loved the wall of windows connecting to the lanai and brightening the great room. It was very convenient to have internet/computer/printer available to us to use. We stayed for 19 days in June – grandmother, mother, daughter and two dogs. It was wonderful to have a beach where we could actually play in the water with our dogs (leashed). For off leash fun a “dog beach” is just a very short drive (5 min.) south. Also there is a very small bay side park two street north where the dogs were also able to play in the water (off leash). This is a Historical site and great for picnics, too. Everyone (including the dogs) thoroughly enjoyed living at Jill & Dave’s place. Thank you for everything! We could not have asked for a better place to bring our two dogs for their first beach experience. Besides the wonderful beach as well as all the area has to offer, the rental unit was absolutely perfect. Jill, David & Christy were wonderful hosts. Very much like the other reviews mention, if you need anything, Jill is always there to help. My wife & dogs will definetly be returning. It's hard to know where to begin. The home is spacious/quiet/comfortable, all appliances/kitchen utensils provided, hi speed internet, large screened in lanai, 2 minute walk to the beach, very pet friendly. We felt welcomed by the owners from the first minute we entered - any question/concerns were responded to immediately!!! Newly painted/tiled, cathedral ceilings, plenty of closet space, spacious bedrooms/bathrooms, new washer/dryer - literally all the comforts of home. It was so hard to leave after such a serene vacation - we know that we have made some new friends and that we will continue to keep in touch. I would not hesitate to recommend this property/these owners to anyone. Tom and I are still here and we love it! Normally when you find a place on the net that looks great, when you get there it is not quite as expected. Jill & Dave's place greatly exceeded our expectations. It is clean, airy, bright with a full wall of sliding glass windows that open onto the lanai making one big room. Bedrooms and bathrooms are big and comfortable. Even "Babe" the cat approves. Jill provides all the necessities, including washing & cleaning supplies. Centrally located with grocery store and restaurants near by and oh that beach! The only thing that we regret right now is that we are leaveing at the end of the month. We highly recommend this home and will miss it and the owners, Jill and Dave. We will definitely be back. Thanks for having the best rental steps from the beach. We stayed over the Xmas Holiday 2008 for 10 days and brought our dog, too!The home was cheerful, clean, spacious and beachy located off the dog friendly beach by a short walk.The home is equipped with everything you could need including a beach stroller equipped with chairs and basket to haul your goodies! I especially enjoyed the vaulted ceilings and wall of patio doors that open to the screened lanai.The owners are real kind and a great source for area info, they were right on with dining recommendations, Fish House and Fish Monger, we got great food at both places!
