Quiet country setting yet only 15 minutes to Ellsworth, 40 minutes to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Enjoy kayaking, hiking, biking, fishing, and swimming, in the local ponds and all that the Acadia, Bar Harbor, and Downeast area has to offer.

Excellent stay in Franklin

Perfect getaway for those visiting the Acadia National Park area. Uniquely situated just outside the hustle and bustle of the Ellsworth/Trenton/Bar Harbor area, we really enjoyed living quietly in the woods away from all the traffic. The property owner was very accommodating and this chalet was fully equipped with extras: satellite TV, internet, fire pit, and gas BBQ grill. I would seek the opportunity to rent this property for all of my future stays.

Wonderful, Rustic and Peaceful

We are a family with four kids ranging in ages 22-15. Our host was wonderful and went out of his way to make extra places to sleep. He even provided a bike for us because we couldn't bring enough. We had such a wonderful time, the property is beautiful and we had lovely fires for roasting marshmallows. The kitchen was very well equipped which was very important with that many people to feed. We went walking, hiking, biking. We liked the location because it was quiet, beautiful sunrises and sunsets. It was a very well laid out house with lots of character. Overall a very postive experience.
