The ultimate family vacation Cabin. Room for all 12 of us, beautiful mountain scenery, weather was great for the grandkids to play. Every thing we needed and more! Our son-in-law has stage four colon cancer and we wanted the whole family to be together in a place that we could really have family fun and togetherness. This is the place. We even went on the Polar Express. We look forward to doing this again.

Making a tradition

Multiple families from several states; we met up here and had our Thanksmas get together (with young children). The cabin was amazing. We were able to stay the weekend without being on top of each other. The accomidations were spot on. From everything you need in the kitchen, to the swing set, to the firepit, This had it all. Our Thanksgiving vacation at Ridge Top Manor was simply spectacular! This home was inviting, warm and amazingly beautiful. All the bedrooms and common areas were ample and comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped and perfect for our Thanksgiving feast. The cooks in our family were very pleased with this space. As we sat and rocked in the porch, we felt embraced by the serene and blissful views. It was so delightful to hear the shuffle of the leaves falling from their branches and absorb the smells of roasted marshmallows. This vacation home has been carefully thought out to meet everyone’s needs. Anyone who vacations at Ridge Top Manor will want not only to return but extend their stay in this chunk of heaven. Of the owner…all I can say is that he was truly a pleasure. He was not only attentive and helpful but delivered on all our expectations and more. Here we created memories that will be cherished and remembered for a lifetime.

This was our 2nd visit to this cabin....We brought our girls and their friends....and I was soo excited to share my excitement with them....When we arrived at the cabin it was soo exciting to see their excitement seeing it for the frist time....This Home is amazing....Soo comfortable and cozy and beautiful.....THe views are stunning and you are nestled in your own private space between sooo many beautiful trees on top of the mountain...Hanging outside with a fire going every night and gazing up at the stars.....Hiking.....lots of Waterfalls to see....Dry falls soo cool....and Wayah Bald Lookout Tower is a must go to and see....the view is breathtaking........I love love this home.......and I loved sharing it with our girls.....The owners are awesome ....very kind and there for you all the time.......Thank you for sharing it with us......

Everything was great. Lots of room for my extended family (including my daughter's family and sister's family) and lots of personal touches by Jerry including a bonfire for roasting marshmellows that the kids and adults really enjoyed along with help for storing my son-in-law's motorcycle. All of the things we needed for my 8 month old granddaughter were there too (highchair, crib, playpen, etc.). A fantastic time was had by all.

We just finished our trip up to this beautiful cabin high in the mountains of Franklin, NC. We loved the cabin and Jerry is always available if you need anything. We loved the property and way the cabin was set up with thoroughly took advantage of being away from town and nestled high up in the mountains. Outside of a couple hiccups with things that must be expected with cabins in the mountains we really really enjoyed ourselves and Jerry definitely makes you feel like it is your cabin.

Pictures don't do it justice!

Pictures do not do justice to the beauty of the cabin and its surroundings. This Florida girl is used to flat lands, scorching sun, and mosquitoes this time of year... I was dumbfounded when we pulled up and saw this cabin nestled on the side of the mountain. The immenites were wonderful, Jerry made sure all our needs were met and told us to call anytime, day or night. There was so much to do in the area but to be quite honest, we did nothing but relax. Sitting on the deck watching the sunrises and sets, the storms rolling through the mountains, listening to the birds, and walking the trails were wonderful! We cooked on the grill (and met Cody), ate dinners by candle light, sat by the fireplace, and had very restful nights - felt like we were home with none of the pressures and stress of commitments and schedules. We highly recommend Ridgetop Manor and are so thankful for the time we spent there!!!!

The cabin was absolutely perfect! The views are gorgeous, there was plenty of room so we didn't feel crowded and having the full kitchen made it convenient to eat in. There was also plenty to keep us busy when we wanted to venture out. We took the kids hiking, mining, canoeing & fishing while there. The trip couldn't have been any better. We can't wait to visit again!! Thank you so much!!!

Seven ladies gathered here for a knitting retreat weekend and it was Perfect! We all had our own bed, the fully equipt kitchen was lage enough for several to make dinner in while the rest gathered at the island and had cocktails & appetizers. Plenty of room for all of us to sit and knit and talk. We loved the porch! The property is stunning the cabin spectacular! Jerry is the BEST!! He was very resposive to any questions or conserns we had. He said just bring food & a toothbrush and thats what we did. Everything else was there. Perfect! We will be back for the Second Annual Knit Night Retreat!!

This place is an absolute dream! The home is gorgeous, views are stunning, and Jerry the owner couldn't have been any nicer to us. Other homes may look nice on this website, but I can assure you nothing tops the attention to detail and love in this place. We wanted to be secluded, and this home is perfect with lots of land all around us. The gate system on the wrap around porch is a brilliant feature (one of many you'll find) which keeps small children and/or dogs contained to the porch. This gave us great peace of mind. The owners have thought of everything for your comfort from a spice rack and slow cooker in the kitchen to band aids and flashlights. We are definitely not "repeat vacationers", however we are already finding a time to book our next stay. This is a place we will keep coming back to for years to come.

Just Like Having Your Own Hotel

Our family, actually 4 families part of a larger family, had a week here, and we had so much room to spread out. Had children of all a ages, and they all had a ball. Such a fun place. Every night we had a fire down at the fire pit area, and made somemores and hot dogs. Sang songs and just had a wonderful family time together. The amenities just couldn't be better. Great kitchen and master bedroom suite. felt that we had left a trace of our family personality behind. Wonderful place for a family reunion. Lots of room to enjoy and not to trip over each other.

What is there to say after 40 FIVE STAR REVIEWS except that EVERYTHING THAT WAS SAID IS TRUE! I have been to the area many times in my life, starting as a young child and remembering the excitement of Western North Carolina. As a young adult, newly married, we had family reunions and vacations. A few years ago my husband and I went to Franklin with five other couples and we all brought our motorcycles. We took day-trips to all the little towns on the gorgeous curved country roads and even went on the Tail of the Dragon. (If only this cabin was built, it would have been the perfect house for all those trips.) Now that this "gem" of a vacation home is built, I went with my girlfriends for a week of adventure. It turned out that, aside from adventure, we found paradise. It didn't matter if we went out sightseeing, gem mining, hiking, shopping or if we just stayed in. We loved to get up to the sunrise with a cup of coffee and look out over Cowee Valley. Some days we went touring and other days we stayed in....the home is so big and comfortable that you don't want to go anywhere else. We cooked some meals in the COMPLETELY OUTFITTED KITCHEN (sharing recipes was fun), we read books by the fireplace or out on the huge wrap-around porch, and we hiked. Most of all, I loved being one with nature and soaked in all I could. No stress from work or busy cities.............just relaxation and fun. Don't miss this awesome experience. The owners have seen to every detail for you. Just go and enjoy!

Have stayed in several different cabins around the US but this one out shines them all. Pictures do it no justice, it is absolutely beautiful. The only thing you need to bring is some food and you are all set or if you don't want to cook there are some really ggod resturants in the area. The cabin is very well kept/maintained, very clean, spacious. The beds are roomy and comfortable, the master bedroom is to die for with the fireplace. Kitchen is well equipped, dining area and living room big. The view is fantastic....on one side of the porch in the morning, with coffee, watching the sun come up over the mountains and on the other side of the porch in the evening, with a glass of wine, watching the sun set. Very relaxing. I am going back again....and again...and again.

We were truly astounded at the beauty and luxury of this lovely mountain rental. The scenery surrounding the cabin was beautiful and we enjoyed sitting outside on the rocking chairs for hours, listening to birds and watching for deer or any other animal in the vicinity. The cabin had everything we needed to prepare wonderful meals. The kitchen was well-equipped. The fireplace was such a treat. We would just sit around and play cards for hours. It is decorated well and there are so many distinct features that sets it apart from all other rentals I have looked at online. Everything worked great. There is a lot to do in the area if you like to mine for gems. We visited many places, went into town, took a drive to the Biltmore estates. We even drove to Gatlinburg and Asheville. The owners are wonderful people, truly good people who will not let you down.

When I first mentioned going to a cabin in the mountains to my friends, they were a little unsure about going. I showed them the pictures from the website and the other information provided, and it didn't take long for them to get excited about going. Ridgetop Manor is simply paradise! If you are looking for a place to get away and relax, then this is the place. All you need to do is bring your favorite food and pack your bags. The cabin is equipped with everything you need to just sit back and enjoy. The design and structure of the cabin is breathtaking. Neither words nor the website can truly express the beauty of this place. What a wonderful time we all had at this lovely mountain cabin! We had 13 family members spend Thanksgiving week here. The cabin is luxurious in all respects and the views are spectacular! There are three levels of living space, 6 bedrooms, and 4 bathrooms. . .we never felt crowded at all. We did something every day including: SMOKY MOUNTAIN RAILWAY ride (we rented the caboose-great experience) * Asheville, NC-BILTMORE ESTATE * shopping in THE HIGHLANDS, NC * mining for gemstones at GOLD CITY * shopping in FRANKLIN, NC * visit to HARRAH'S CHEROKEE CASINO & HOTEL, etc. My favorite times were just relaxing in the rockers on the porch & sitting around the FIRE PIT in the evenings surrounded by the family that I love! What great memories we all have of Thanksgiving 2011!

My family recently spent Thanksgiving in this cabin and had a holiday to remember and treasure. What a great time!!! The cabin is beautiful!!! It has everything you could possibly need. Very clean and comfortable. The views are spectacular. We loved our evenings together around the firepit toasting marshmallows and laughing about our day. There are many things to do in the area and we took advantage of most of them. There is no doubt that we will all be back again...no one wanted to leave. This is a fabulous place to have a reunion, celebrate or simply relax. We took many pictures and memories home with us. Thanks for a Thanksgiving we will never forget.

We stayed for a week from Oct 14-21 and it was a joy from start to finish. Talking with Jerry about the house when we arrived gave us extra insight to everything this beautiful home offered. There were 8 adults staying and we had plenty of space for everyone to be together and not feel crowded. The color was amazing as well as the peace of being up and away from the city but still easy to get back and forth when we wanted to head out and explore. I am not much of a country girl but this cabin was awesome. The pictures do not even come close to doing it any justice. The cabin is so clean, inviting and cozy. You feel like you are in your own home, let alone how spacious it was for our family and friends. The views are like something I have never experienced. The ride in the car was even spectacular. You can tell that the owner of this cabin really put his heart and soul into all of the details to make this cabin feel like you are at home. I am not sure what my favorite was from the fire pit, to the wrap around porch with rocking chairs to see the spectacular mountain views, from the coziness to the inside of the house and the fantastic master bedroom. We had six people from all over come together knowing this was a fabulous place but until you get there it really hits you how awesome it is. I agree with everything all the others have said. We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. The views were amazing from every angle of that wraparound porch! The home itself was designed so well and you can tell the owner really spent time going over every detail. Even my father in law, who’s a builder, was even impressed with the craftsmanship. Upon our arrival the sight of Ridgetop Manor was far beyond our wildest expectations. The cabin immediately became our home. We had a family reunion to include 5 children ages 3 to 7, our 2 married daughters and husbands, our single daughter, my husband and I. Your home had a nitch for each of us. We were busy every day with gem mining, boating, tubing, mountain climbing, visiting waterfalls,etc. and yet the best part of our day was spent in rocking chairs on your awesome porch laughing, catching up and taking in the beautiful mountain views. Your cabin is perfect, it even includes a swing set for the kids. We have made our reservations for next years family reunion and we anxiously await our return. My son and I had an awesome time, my friend Laura and her family invited us to stay with them, I was hooked from the first time I saw the picture of this cabin. I could just imagine myself lounging on the porch with a good book, relaxing next to the fire place with a glass of wine and basking in the glory of all the beauty of Gods awesome creation. Well even with all the things I imagined it did not come close to the reality of this place. The cabin is so inviting from the moment you drive up the path, it is so warm and homey you just feel like moving in. The mountain views that surround the cabin are breath taking and you can feel the clouds all around you (literally), and the sun rise and sunsets are tranquil and peaceful. There is so much to do, gem mining and rafting in Franklin, white water rafting, zip lining, horseback riding at the Nantahala Gorge, and don't forget the Red Barn Ice Cream Shoppe, YUM. The Highlands have the most beautiful waterfalls and quaint shops and restaurants in town. Don't forget to visit the Biltmore in Asheville. Just driving around is an experience you will never forget, the windy roads the amazing mountains all around. If you are looking for a peaceful get away or a little adventure this is the place to come, coming home to the cabin at the end of each day made it even more SPECTACULAR

We needed the perfect getaway from the city and we found it! The cabin was amazing from the tasteful and beautiful decor to the many outdoor adventures. There is whitewater rafting just a short drive away and gem mining at the bottom of the mountain. The views at the top of the mountain were incredible as we sat on the wrap around porch and soaked it up. We cant wait to go back and are planning our next trip very soon!

Originally being from Massachusetts and living in Florida for the past 25 years I had heard so many people say "I am heading to my cabin in North Carolina for the summer" I had always wanted to see for myself what everyone else raved about. When my friend invited us to come for a week and sent me the pictures of this cabin, I took one look and said "I have got to go". Well it way surpassed my expectations, it was so beautiful and homey you just instantly felt at home. I loved everything from the wrap around porch, to the cozy fire place all the natural wood it just makes you feel like snuggling next to the fire with a good book. We were awestruck when we first entered the area of Franklin, NC. It is lush, green, absolutely beautiful. But, when we made the 1 mile climb up the mountain to find this incredible retreat at the top, we were speechless. Not only is the house very large, but it is beautifully furnished. Once you walk through the front door you will feel at home. My absolute favorite location inside the house was the master bedroom. It is large and has a fireplace all it's own. There is a king bed along with a comfy love seat that is nestled in a corner of the room with unbelievable views of the mountains. I sat there every day and did my daily devotion. This house truly brings you closer to our Creator God. The wrap around porch outside is an amazing feature because it allows you to get a 360 view of the mountains surrounding the home. We have stayed in cabins in the Smokey Mountains before, but nothing as great as this. All you need to bring is your clothes your toothbrush and some food. Everything else you need is there. They even provide a fire pit to cook Smore's!!! My son brought up his gun and loved going out and shooting whenever he wanted. Our kids loved staying here and asked if we could come back again. We need to come back to experience things we didn't have time for like ziplining, white water rafting and horseback riding. All these adventurous activities are within a 45 minute drive of the cabin. When you go, don't forget to visit the Highlands to go hiking and see some waterfalls, along with great shopping and dining. Our kids had a great time gem mining in the area. There are several places to choose from and one of them is at the bottom of the mountain from the cabin itself. There is also the Biltmore Estate in Asheville. It only took 1 hour to get there and it is worth the trip. We also went tubing down the Little Tennessee, that was a very fun activity to do with the kids. I highly recommend this vacation rental to anyone looking for a quiet retreat or an adventure!! I know the owners personally and can vouch for them and how wonderful they are. They truly love their home and have blessed everyone who stays there by sharing this experience with us! Thanks Denise and Jerry!!

How Blessed we were to have had the opportunity to stay at Ridgetop Manor! They have thought of everything from the cozy beds and beautiful decor to having every possible kitchen tool you might need. Just show up with your food and you might never want to leave the cabin. Our kids spent most of the time outside hiking, roasting marshmallows, gem mining, just being boys. The cabin is set amidst God's gorgeous creation, you can see for miles and can actually hear yourself think. This was the perfect weeklong getaway for us, just what we needed. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home and everything in it. We look forward to making the trip to Franklin NC again and there isn't anywhere else we'd rather stay!

Wow this place is so awesome! Starting with the owners they were available anytime we needed to speak with them,we were blessed to get to meet them in person,they treated us like Family. The cabin is indescribable every detail of the construction is TOP KNOCH.The furnishings and aminities are second to none.The pictures online are great but when you get there it will blow you away.The veiws you see are increadible,with the 360 degree wrap around porch and the rocking chairs you feel at one with Gods beautiful mountians.It is so peaceful up there you will hate to leave.Our trip was with three other couples and a single man.We often speak of our time together there and look forward to our return this fall.We had a great time riding our Harley's around the Franklin area.One of our best memories was 8pm setting around one of the fire pits,talking and laughing and enjoying each other away from the busy life at home,the R&R was GREAT!! Me and my family visited the cabin at a very rough time in our life, we needed to just get away from reality for a little while and that is exactly what this place did for us. The Property was amazing, the cabin was immaculte and astounding, and the view was just breath taking. It was by far better than any hotel or resort that I had ever been to before. The cabin made me and my family forget about our troubles for the time that we were there. Even though it was my first time visiting the cabin I felt as if I was home. Upon arrival, the site of this cabin was "WOW". Tired and hungry and too late to search for a place to eat, we found that there was food in the kitchen for us to eat. "HOW GREAT WAS THAT". Every room had all the conveniences that you would need. Just like your own home. Every bedroom has a beautiful view of the mountains. So don't close those curtains. Every day was an adventure. The cabin is a great place for a retreat. We arrived to a view of the fall leaf colors and good mountain views, then some cool temperatures that always helps us to realize that we are really on vcation. The cabin was well stocked and very clean. We enjoyed sitting on the wrap-around porches and getting into the stack of books we brought along. I did manage to make a few laps around the perimeter driveway for exercise. We would recommend this cabin as an excellent place for a getaway.

Family Reunion

This was a really great place for a family reunion. We had twelve family members ages two to eighty, staying in the cabin, and a great time was had by all. There was room for the two year old to play. There were exciting things nearby ( like white water rafting) to keep the teen agers happy. There were activities for the parents and grandparents (waterfalls and gem mining) almost on our doorstep. As a perfect backdrop to it all was a gorgeous cabin, with a big enough kitchen for most of us to work in together, and views too spectacular to describe. We watched misty sunrises from the front porch, and beautiful sunsets from the back porch. We chased fireflies, roasted marshmallows, and rocked on the porch while catching up on each others lives. It was truly a great vacation.

It is difficult to describe the wonderment of being at this cabin. No expense has been spared to make your trip perfect. Everything that you could think of and most things that you wouldn't even consider - they are all provided. We felt spoiled beyond measure. Every inch of the cabin and grounds is spectacular. The cabin is nestled on 12 private acres. We were secluded in luxury and loved every moment. The owner has AMAZING customer service - he makes you feel like you are a part of his family. We stayed at the cabin for a family reunion with 17 people, and it was perfect in every way. This was the best vacation that we have ever taken, and we can't wait to go back.

my group stayed at this cabin during memorial day weekend. it was 12 of us and we had 6 motorcycles. the cabin is large comfortable and very clean. the views were great! the location is secluded but accessible. my only gripe is that the road leading up to the cabin is not paved so bringing our motorcyles up to the cabin proved too difficult and risky. however the owner jerry was very accommodating and offered us a secure shed down by the paved road at the bottom of the mountain. so we were very grateful for his interest in making our trip hassle free. so we would definitely stay there again. excellent mountain getaway

I just wanted to tell you that we had a wonderful sibling family reunion at your cabin #6 in Cowee Valley. It was a very comfortable and relaxing place for us to sit around and reminiense and make new memories. We spent alot of time in the kitchen and on the wrap-around porch in the rocking chairs. None of my siblings had been to the mountains of NC and so this was a perfect place. We were close enough to go to Fontana Dam and the Biltmore. Also, time to do shopping in Franklin.

The cleanliness of all of the living spaces was absolutely top notch. I immediately was very comfortable in the surroundings. All of the things you supplied was incredible down to a campfire to roast marshmallows and hotdogs. Our kids absolutely loved that. It's like you thought of everything. I can't believe how well the kitchen was stocked with incidentals. Not only were there dishes and cookware supplied but they were of very high quality. It just showed me how much pride you place in your cabin and ALL that came along with it. The beauty of the cabin alone and all of the nice touches, snack bar, rocking chairs, gas grill, camp fire with wood supplied....... I could go on and on. You definitely thought of everything.
And you can't overlook the absolute beauty of the surroundings and the wonderful view. I woke up every morning and ran to the back porch to see the view in the early morning. I loved to sit in the rockers and just sit and listen to the peacefulness of the place. You should be very proud of the wonderful home you have built.
