We had a wonderful vacation at Tree Tops! The cabin has everything you could possibly need (and more) and you really only need to bring your toothbrush and clothes. The dogs enjoyed the wrap around porch with the gate to keep them safe and the adults enjoyed the hot tub and outside fire pit. The cabin has wonderful views from all rooms that allowed us to enjoy the snow (my first snow fall!) while staying warm inside. I got our car stuck on one of the 'hills' when we first arrived (driver's error-lesson learned) and one of the neighbors was nice enough to stay and chat with us until a tractor arrived to help. We cannot wait to return to Tree Tops for another relaxing vacation.

We celebrated my husband's 50th birthday while we were there and I couldn't have asked for a more perfect place. The wrap around deck was a perfect place for the children to play, there was plenty of room to accommodate all of us. The kitchen was stocked, and paper products were plenty. I will definitely come back.

If you're looking for a place to get away from it all, Tree Tops is your place. I wouldn't call this a cabin but a second home to return to time and time again. We spent 6 wonderful days and nights enjoying the mountain views and seclusion Tree Tops has to offer. The cabin truly has 3 king suites along with an additional bedroom downstairs for the kids and three more beds in the game room to accommodate a larger crowd. The wrap around porch is gated to keep the younger crowd corralled. The kitchen has every amenity you could possibly require and is now my dream kitchen. I highly recommend this property and look forward to returning as soon as possible.

Wonderful Vacation Home!!!!

We had a total of 11 people (including 3 kids) stay at this cabin and had more than enough room! There are 3 master bedrooms witha HUGE closet and their own bathroom, a single bedroom with bunk beds and 3 more beds in the rec room. They aren't lying when they say that the kitchen is fully stocked. Just about everything we needed was already here including spices, seasonings, sugar, flour, syrup, condiments, etc. Top of the line appliances and cookware. Beautiful views on the wrap around deck on the main level. It's gated off too so you don't have to worry about the kids. :) We set up corn hole on the deck and had a blast. The hot tub and fire pit are where we spent most of our time. All around great place to stay. We'll definitely be back! The only thing missing from this place is a hammock or porch swing but there are plenty of rocking chairs for everyone to enjoy the views. We had a little trouble getting up the hill to the cabin but once we contacted Michael Holliday, he had the Bates come pull us up with no problem. The next time we got out, we made sure to turn off the traction control and had no more problems. It is a pretty steep driveway but it is worth the views! This cabin is absolutely top of the line in every way and the owners are extremely accomodating.

A Home Away From Home

My family and I spent a weekend at Tree Tops and this cabin was just breath taking. The rooms in the cabin was very spacious and it was big enough to sleep my wife and I, my mother, my sister and her boyfriend, and our 5 kids. It was my mother's 59th birthday so we surprised her with a grilled birthday dinner, cake and ice cream. The owners had everything laid out for us from food and snacks in the kitchen to family games, movies, and wifi for entertainment. On top of this, the city was located very close to the cabin which made it convenient to Wal-Mart, grocery stores, and a veriety of restaurants. The people in the Franklin area were very friendly and polite as there were several to give us further guidance to places such as mining areas, hiking trails, parks, and recreation for fishing. The best thing about our adventure at Tree Tops was how the owners provided all the accomodations and necessities to make our stay feel just as if we were at home away from our home. The kids enjoyed their basement of entertainment and even our 19 month old daughter was able to play safely around the entire cabin. The only bad thing about our stay was that it wasn't long enough. I definitely concur with other reviewers as the decription is not enough to decribe all luxury this cabin brings. My family and I are definitely planning on coming back to relax at Tree Tops and we have already recommended it to other family and friends.

Singing praises of Treetops at Franklin NC

My family of 12 adults spent a wonderfully relaxing weekend at Tree Tops last weekend. The "cabin" is a professionally decorated elegent three story masterpiece of wooden walls and ceilings with each suite designed for privacy. It was exceedingly, abundantly more than all we could have asked! The kitchen contained everything that we needed in the way of dishes and cooking equipment. Linens and towels were abundant. The claw foot soaking tub was a big hit with the ladies. The gigantic deck with its many chairs was the perfect environment for evening meals. Everything was sparkling clean and well maintained and we have already recommended it to our friends and relatives.

Amazing cabin for one or more families!

This cabin was truly the best part of our multi-family gem-mining trip. We had 8 people of all ages and the cabin was designed perfectly to accomodate multiple families. Each bedroom had it's own bathroom and shower for privacy. The kitchen, dining room, and living room with fire were roomy, luxurious, and cozy. The wrap-around porch with wooden rocking chairs overlooking the valley served as the highlight for each sunny day, where we could sit and talk about our day. The downstairs den housed the kids beautifully in their own fun space. The cabin was stocked with many handy items to make the place feel like a better version of home. The location is perfect for hitting several gem mines and other Franklin sites. Be prepared for the steep, gravel drive up (4-wheel drive is nice), but the climb will be worth it upon arrival at the cabin! The owners really thought of everything to make this spacious cabin the perfect place to stay for people of all ages.

We just spent a long weekend at Tree Tops and it was wonderful. Four adults and four children worked in this house. The kitchen was fully equipped, nice moutain decor and all around was a very comfortable place to stay. Fireplace was not working so I would make sure to check to see if it is if that is important to you. Also double check the directions to the cabin if you are coming in from Asheville. Highly recommend this cabin.

Home away from home

This was the most beautiful places I have been. I planned this vacation for my fiancé birthday. He didnt know where I was goin so when we arrived there he was speechless. The cabin was so nice clean it made us feel like we were home. The moutain view spoke for it self. This is a place everyone should go. I have MS and been battling it since 2005 this is the more far than perfect getaway. And I plan on makin this cabin our yearly vacation place while I'm able to walk..

Our Snowy adventure

The pictures on the web do not do this cabin justice. The cabing is breathtaking. And Mike the owenr was so nice. He could not have been better about helping us. We got stuck in the snow and the neighbors helped us out at Mike's direction over the phone. My kids and wife and I fell in love with the cabin. The soaring ceilings and cool catwalk. The well appointed and stocked kitchen. Huge bedrooms. Gorgeous pine paneled walls and ceilings and oak floors. Two story fire place. TV's in every room. Sat TV. Comfortable, clean furniture. Beautifully decorated. Plenty of DVD's and good reading material, even the bathrooms, which Dad loved. We loved everything about it, except not being able to get our mini-van up the mountain. Not anyone's fault though. That was the result of the 100 year snow. But Keith the caretaker took great care of us. All that just made it a more exciting adventure. I happily can recommend renting this cabin. It was wonderful in every way!!!
