Description of the Franklin vacation cottage rental

3 Bedroom, 2 Bath historic cottage. Sleeps 6. Totally furnished, fully appointed Kitchen with Microwave, Electric Range, Refrigerator, Dishwasher and all the utensils needed to prepare meals. There is a Washer and Dryer for your use, and all towels and linens are provided. Phone for local calls, and 2 flat-screen TV's with DVD's and Satellite TV.
Fire pit in the backyard for wiener roasts or just sitting around the campfire.

Area Description

Lots to do in the area, whether you’re interested in Gem Mines (Franklin is the Gem Capitol of the World), Whitewater Rafting, Kayaking, Canoeing, Hiking, or just relaxing, this is perfect. Cherokee and Harrah’s Casino is just a short drive, and Atlanta and Asheville are both less than 2 hours away.
The Blue Ridge Parkway is close by and a visit to the Highlands/Cashiers area is a
real treat. Less than an hour away is Lake Fontana where you can rent Pontoon Boats and spend the day water skiing or tubing.
There are many fishing areas, including lakes and trout streams, and if you’re into photography, you’ll find some of the most beautiful scenery in the country, including great mountain vistas and numerous waterfalls.

This home was absolutely beautiful. It was stocked with everything you need!! We enjoyed making s'mores and telling ghost stories by the fire pit. I will and have already told everyone I know that this was the best rental I have ever rented.
