How to relax
March 3, 2013
From the minute we stepped inside the cabin it felt like home. The cabin was beyond our dreams. Everything we needed upon our arrival was there. The master bedrooms were beautiful as was the rest of the cabin. The outside fire ring had plenty of seats and firewood. We will be back soon!

The cabin is absolutely GORGEOUS! The pictures do not begin to show the true beauty of it. My friends and I take an annual cabin trip and this was by far the best cabin we've stayed in. It is very spacious well kept. The double King Suites were an added bonus. I love that all the rooms had beds to accommodate adults (no twin bed only rooms). The owner gave us GREAT customer service as well. We would definitely go back!

About 15 of us visited for a farewell to freedom for one of the guys in the group (ie bachelor party). Note: we weren’t an overly rowdy bunch, most of us in the early 30’s but we still partied pretty hard. This place was exactly what we were looking for. It was well maintained – everything worked and was in great condition. The owners were very helpful when we were lost trying to find our cabin (Note to anyone on a motorcycle – it’s up a long and curving gravel road, little dangerous but okay for experienced riders). We had just enough privacy that we weren’t a nuisance to any of our neighbors (there is only 1 house anywhere nearby) and the people who happened to be staying there were a great group (mostly retired couples). We ended up all grilling together Friday night and partying together on Saturday. On Saturday we spent time in the hot tub, time stoking the fire pit, and we did a back-woods hike up the mountain, which ran into some old logging roads and afforded some really nice views without having to drive anywhere. For the price, the quality, the location, and the amenities – I would rate 5 out of 5. Thanks for everything. -Nick

The cabin was beautiful and the owners were extremely friendly. A group of 15 of us went up for the weekend for a friend's 30th birthday and they had a cake at the cabin for her and the cabin easily fit all of us and was great for the kids as well. It was a wonderful experience and all our friends were impressed with the cabin and hospitality. We will be using them again! Thanks so much!

Beautiful Cabin

My sister and I rented this home for our vacation. It was perfect for two families. The house is beautiful with a beautiful view. The kids enjoyed the basement with the ping pong table and the foosball table. I highly recommend this home. The owner and his son are very nice and maintain the home beautifully.

Perfect for our group

Our stay was wonderful. We had four couples meet at the cabin for a weekend reunion of sorts. Most of us went to high school together more than 30 years ago. Archer's Lair was spacious and was beautiful inside. The view from the deck and hot tub is superb. The king size beds were very comfortable. The kitchen is roomy enough for several people to be working on meals together without getting in each others way. We would definitely stay here again. Our only minor objection was that the deck was covered with small twigs and leaves apparently from a thunder storm the night before. Since we could not check in until 3:00 pm we would have thought someone with a leaf blower could have taken care of that before we arrived. As I said, this was minor and not really an issue but it did make us wonder what things would look like inside. Fortunately, inside was very clean and tidy. As a footnote: There is a ping pong table down stairs, but we could not find a ball anywhere. However, we didn't want to play bad enough to bother Carl about it. Carl was a wonderful host. He made a very brief appearance to welcome us and give us a little information. We needed propane for the gas grill and he provided it quickly. Otherwise we did not see him during our stay... which is perfect. If we wanted to stay with the host we would have chosen a Bed and Breakfast. The gravel road up to the cabin is a little steep but in good shape. We had no problem and several of us were in low ground clearance sports cars. I definitely recommend Archer's Lair to anyone planning a group retreat or large family get away. We loved it!

We had a wonderful time. We went with several friends & family and we had 2 cabins. The kids just loved every minute of it. My kids would love to do this again one day. The cabin was clean and very well kept. The kitchen just had everything you can think of. The appliances were up to date, it felt like you were home. The owner will try to accomodate you the best he can. He even provides some food incase you arrive late in the evening, all you have to do is replace it before you leave. This was one of our best vacations.

We stayed in this cabin with several friends and children and per our kids it has been the best vacation they have had. They enjoyed the property and the house tremendously. Excellent cabin for the adults as well, the cabin has every kitchen tool you can think of and was very comfortable for cooking big meals. Enjoyed our vacation tremendously mainly because of the cabin.

This was our best new years ever. The cabin was absolutely gorgeous. It was super clean, complete with everything you can imagine. The cabin is also very spacious and the kitchen is super comfortable to cook for a large party. The cabin is situated right in the middle of the mountain so there are various hiking trails available just outside your door steps. The owners are very nice and very helpful with anything you need. We had the best time and plan to do it again soon.
