Maxy and Cy's place is the best. We spent a glorious 10 days relaxing on the beach, enjoying snorkleing and a great location. Maxy and Cy couldn't have been better hosts, as involved as you want them to be, always ready with some tips and advice about the island. I can't say enough about what a great trip this was!

My wife and I stayed here for 5 days. It was right on the beach with a great ocean view, patio and a seating area with a firepit. I would recommend picking up some basics on your way from the airport. You will want bottled water to drink and for coffee and they sell them in gallons. You may also want to pick up some breakfast items, as there are only a few places that serve breakfast, but the kitchenette is great. We made omlettes, french toast, pancakes, etc. The two closest beach bars are literally a 3 minute walk and they serve good burgers and wings. I would recommend renting a car if you are interested in scuba or snorkeling or shopping, as most of those are in Christiansted. But there is some really good snorkeling at the house and just down the road at the peer. This is a great place to stay and get away from it all. The owners are really nice and helpful. We would recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay outside the normal business of the city. We will definately return. By the way. When you make airline reservations, USE AMERICAN. Our US Airways flight was cancelled because of maintenance as we were walking out the door to the airport. And our Delta return flight got cancelled because of maintenance issues and left us stranded for an extra day. This would normally be ok on such a nice island, but their logistics made it so the day was wasted at the airport and the hotel service (Mariott resort) was practically non-existent.

The pros: great location, front and center on a great swimming and snorkeling beach, safe feeling location a mile or more north of Frederiksted, price was right, friendly hosts, sunsets, everything as advertised. Cons: No A/C is the biggest one. The week we were there the temps were near 90 every day with lows near 80 and, with the high humidity, it was sweltering. Our plan was to cook most of our meals, but we never fired up the stove because of the heat that would be generated. It rained a couple of days which brought the temps down to a tolerable level. On the other hand, few homes on the island are air conditioned.

Our time here was wonderful - just too short. We hope for 2 weeks next winter. We did a lot of nothing - just what we needed. Rest, relaxation, explored the rain forest, walked the beach, drove around the island, read, napped, ate, drank, talked, and dreamed of someday being able to spend several months a year on the island. We almost lived in our swimsuits. It was wonderful to be right on the beach! Our rental car wouldn't start when we were ready to leave for the airport, and Maxy generously drove us there. Many thanks!

Right on the beach with very pleasant hosts. Not fancy but very clean and comfortable. Amazing views - perfect spot for sunsets. We were welcomed and then left alone unless we made an effort to visit with Cy & Maxie who are very nice and helpful. We would definitely stay here again. I can't get the star rating to work but I would give this a 5 out of 5.

The beach was very accessible. The owners were kind of like stewards on a cruise - there if you needed them, but otherwise invisible and respected your privacy! The welcoming gift of Cruzan rum and Cokes was very thoughtful and much appreciated. Felt completely safe with the built-in security system - two beautiful dogs (who respected our privacy also, by the way). The only thing I could suggest is to automatically replace the towels if a visitor is staying more than 3 nights. It's easy to use towels frequently in a beach environment. The beach house is definitely located on the "best" side of the island.
Maxy and Cy,
Our 2nd visit was just a sensational as our 1st time. We are looking forward to our 3rd visit. All our best!! Glenn and Karen L.
Maxy and Cy,
What an amazing week! We've snorkled, driven 'the Beast' in the rainforest, climbed the tidal pools, sea-planed to St. Thomas, sunset cruises and Buck Island. Lots of cocktails, all to be able to come 'home' to the most amazing sunsets and beautiful & awestriking view. Thanks for everything! we'll be back! Tommy and Emilie U. Aug 08
Maxy & Cy- Thanks for everything. This was a great place to work, play and relax. Jim and Nate enjoyed their time at the beach & talking to you-and my work went much better having them here. This will definitely be our 'place to stay' when we come back! Best, Akeia,Jim and Nate June 07
Maxy and Cy - How perfect could it be? Thank you for being the perfect hosts. It means alot. And very appreciated!! We will see you next year for sure. Lots of love and good energy your way!(Take care of 'the pool' for us! We hate to leave.....

We had the BEST time golfing, then relaxing here on the west to a beautiful sunset and water! Best of both worlds for us...we'll be back for sure. Thank you so much Maxy and Cy
Thanks for making our holiday a true 'Paradise' experience-sun, fun and food!
What wonderful hosts you have been! The apartment is terrific-so comfortable with all the necessities. The books to share and read are a great touch and a 'to-die for' view! I'm going to have trouble getting to sleep tonight back in Minnesota without the sound of the waves on the beach. I only hope I will be able to return someday to this island paradise. Thanks so much.
Maxy and Cy,
Thank you both for providing such a lovely apartment for us on such short notice. Your care and concern were evident in the way you furnished and stocked this lovely place. Again, thanks very much!
Bill and Sherry
Many thanks Maxy and Cy for a wonderful time spent in your lovely apartment. Little extras were much appreciated as was your help in arranging our visit, (not quite so straight forward coming from England!) Jane and Andy
