Great vacation

August 21, 2012

This lake house is lovely ... very well-maintained, perfect location, and has everything you'd need for a nice vacation. It was also sparkling clean. I dealt with the owners (mother and daughter) via email, phone and in person and they were very pleasant - answering all my questions. The house is not "campy" ... no mismatched dishes or beat up furniture. The deck overlooking the lake was great for early morning coffee. And the 2-seater glider at the water's edge was a great way to end the day, watching the sunset. We chose this particular rental because it's pet-friendly, but I'd recommend it for anyone - with or without pets.

GREAT VACATION HOME

August 3, 2012

We rented this vacation home for a week this summer and had a wonderful time. The house was very spacious and had everything you needed. Every time we found ourselves needing something, we found it – it was great. There were beautiful views from the shoreline, and the swimming was nice for young children. Boat traffic went by slow as it is a no-wake zone in front of the property. With our boat we were able to take a short ride and enjoy the sandbars (which were AWESOME and tons of fun) and some tubing at Broad Bay and big Ossipee Lake. The deck was nice and spacious as well and the dog pen was so convenient just a few steps out the front door. I personally loved the huge clothesline for drying all of our wet towels and such. The home is in a quiet residential neighborhood with barely any traffic. Owner was very friendly and great with communication. Would highly recommend we had a wonderful time!!! :)

The house was just as described and had everything we needed. The location is great; we enjoyed the long sandy beach and dock. The deck is very large and offers lovely views of the lake. The property is on a narrow part of the bay which was nice because boat traffic had to go by very slowly. We brought our dog and she loved swimming and hanging out with us on the deck and dock. We also enjoyed walking our dog around the neighborhood loop. The house is a bit dated, but everything worked well and it was clean when we arrived. The lighting wasn't great in the living room which made reading at night tough, but we managed by moving a few lamps around. Overall, a very nice play to stay on a beautiful lake.

Q:What is the beach like?

A:Our property has 300' of waterfront on Lake Ossipee's Leavitt Bay. We have two sandy beaches, one on each side of the lake front. Both beaches gently slope into the lake with no sudden drop offs. One of the beaches has a 15' aluminum dock on it. Our beaches receive strong sunlight from mid morning until the sun sets. The property is located on a "no wake" zone so boats pass by at a safe distance and a slow speed. If you are looking to take part in some boating, right beyond our property is Leavitt Bay where the no wake zone ends and there is room for water skiing, tubing etc.

Q:Is there a washer and/or dryer at the house?

A:No. There is no washer or dryer but there is a laundry mat about 5 minutes away.

Q:What is the parking situation?

A:Our lake house is located in a quiet, friendly neighborhood therefore we kindly request that no one parks on the street. Located in front of our garage is a large driveway that can easily fit a boat trailer, and several cars. Cars and other motor vehicles are not allowed on any portion of the property besides the driveway, as any parking on the lawn may cause serious damage to the septic system.

Q:We have a dog. Are we allowed to bring him with us?

A:Absolutely. We are a dog friendly family who appreciates fellow dog lovers. Our house has a 4' x 12' chain link dog kennel that can be used with supervision. For the safety of your pet, we ask that your dog is not left outside unsupervised or off leash. If you have specific questions pertaining to pets please feel free to email Lauren.

Q:How does the rental process work?

A:If you are interested in learning more about our lake house, please do not hesitate to email Lauren. To initiate the rental process, the owner prefers to speak over the telephone to assure an element of security and make a personable connection. The rental agreement is then emailed as a PDF and returned by mail to the owner.

Q:What is the cost for a week?

A:Most weeks are $1600 plus 9% NH Room tax (144$) and a $500 security deposit. The week of the 4th of July is 2000. Please email for rates regarding Labor Day Weekend.

Q:Can we check in early on the Saturday we arrive?

A:Unfortunately we do not allow check ins before 4 pm. We strive to provide a clean, comfortable vacation experience for you and your family which requires ample time and preparation in between renters.
