Brier View Cottage, beautiful OCEANFRONT location

Located on Overcove Road, Brier View Cottage is steps from the ocean. The property sits on 10 acres of land and has 300 feet of waterfront. We have a beautiful view of Petite Passage, Brier Island and Peter's Island, which has a functioning lighthouse. The sunsets are spectacular all year long and our area is renowned for the highest tides of the world.

The property has many gardens, both vegetable and flower, and there is always something spectacular in bloom. We encourage visitors to help themselves to our vegetable gardens and enjoy any of our sitting areas in the gardens.

There are many hiking trails that are accessible from the home, the closest being Dartmouth Point which is a 120 acre park where seals and other wildlife can be frequently sighted. This trail is a 3-minute walk from the house and is situated on the tip of the island and has spectacular views of St. Mary's Bay and the surrounding areas.

The house is newly renovated and has 3 bedrooms plus den, 1 1/2 baths and can accommodate up to 8 people. A well equipped kitchen makes cooking a pleasure, but for people who prefer to dine out, Lavena's Catch cafe is a short distance away which has delicious seasonal seafood and homemade desserts.

We have bicycles and sea kayaks available for use. High speed internet and local cable television are also available. This home is available for rent during the summer, on a weekly or monthly basis.

The house is available for rent for $1200 a week. Contact us if you would like to rent it for a longer period of time.

The area is a nature lovers paradise. Long and Brier Islands are scenic in their rugged beauty and there are many local activities to keep visitors busy: hiking, whale watching, boating, fishing, birding, cycling, and checking out the many functional lighthouses.
