We had reservations at the Tremont House then our dog sitter cancelled and our trip was in danger. Then we noticed Dawn 213 on the internet for dog friendly stays in Galveston and our trip was saved. The condo was clean and comfortable and our dogs were very happy to be with us for the trip. The location on the beach was great. Thanks so much and we look forward to returning for another stay.

Just gets better and better

This was our fourth stay at the Dawn over the last 3yrs. Terri, the owner is teriffic and makes the entire rental experence effortless. The condo over looks the gulf and is only yards away from crashing waves and fresh gulf breezes. Granite countertops/washer dryer/tile floors/stainlees steel appliances/gated and secure.Two well maintained pools and lush manicured grounds. Just perfect for a get away layed back experence. Our life is totally given to us and totally taken away… So we use what moments we have to share with others, take in the moments, and love what God has given to us!! Teri, you were so right girl!! the condo was perfect and I was able to relaxed and play every minute I could of the day when I had the energy. The view of the Gulf of Mexico was breathtaking and the weather was absolutely perfect every day. The location is close to nice restaurants, some shopping stores, and just far away from all the hustle and bustle of the fast pace of summer life. It was close enough to a Wal-Mart which was just across the street for groceries, toiletries, etc. I loved the granite in the kitchen and bathroom, and it had a wonderful glass shower that I wish I had at home. All of the appliances were modern, and there is a washer and dryer in the condo. The condo is on the first floor of 3 story building, so there were fewer steps getting to the entry door from the parking lot than in the 2nd and 3rd floor units. I never heard a sound from above us or beside us! There is some road noise in the morning from its close proximity to Seawall Blvd however it just woke me up to enjoy the beautiful view of the sun rising across the ocean every morning and take in the amazing ocean side smell of summer! We spent the days on the beach and the evenings at one of the two pools. The people who were staying at other condos were so nice and friendly!! I stayed in the bed and rested and it was very comfortable and we slept great. The landscaping was top notch at the condos very beautiful and the pool is a must see. The water flowing over the rocks was so relaxing and beautiful!! I cannot say enough great things about this condo. The best thing about it is the owner Teri. She was amazing and so helpful when I had questions. The only downside is that there's no sandy beach right across the street from the condo however if you walk down one block there is sand and you can sit and play in the ocean! Teri, thank you so much for all you did to make my stay at the Dawn so memorable! Being right on the beach and wiggle my toes in the sand was on my bucket list!! You made my dream come true!! Thank you!! I look forward to coming again REAL SOON!! Cherish your days you have! I want to Thank You for making other’s dreams possible and allowing people to restore their soul! Be Blessed!!

Great week-end getaway

The condo was really nice, very clean and cozy. We were with two dogs, and could enjoy our weekend without worrying about them. The condo has a beautiful view, and is centrally located. The best Galveston beaches are within minutes away. The complex is grean and clean, and has two great pools which we enjoyed as well. It was like a beautiful resort. We will definitely come back, may be in the fall. Last but not least, the owner Teri was wonderful. Thank you!

Anniversary getaway

Anniversary Weekend Getaway

This was our 6th Anniversary "getaway"...but we took our two dogs :) We all had the best stay imaginable! It's not too often you can find a place that will even accept dogs let alone two dogs...let alone two large dogs. The area is very beautiful and the grounds are kept immaculate. The beaches are dog friendly. And the best part is the condo. It's very clean and the pictures are exactly what you get. We will definitely go back but maybe just the two of us next time so that we can spend more time for "us". Teri was the most wonderful person to deal with. A very kind heart and she made our trip so easy and uncomplicated. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

We were visiting our son and family, who lives in Laporte, TX. Condo was just what was represented in the ad. Valero gas station right next door, and Walmart within 100 yards. Enjoyed the view from the patio toward the Gulf of Mexico, which is about 40 yards away. Condo is on the first floor of 3 story building, so there were fewer steps getting to the entry door from the parking lot than in the 2nd and 3rd floor units. Condo is nicely furnished. There is some road noise from its close proximity to Seawall Blvd. Seawall itself is about 15-17 feet high. Seawall Blvd. has steps going down to the water at various intervals all along the Seawall. Plenty to see and do in the area, and a variety of restaurants. Late April was a good time for us--after Spring Break, and before the Summer Tourist Season begins!

We enjoyed our 3 day weekend at The Dawn 213. The condo is updated very well and had all the things we needed. The kids enjoyed access to the two swimming pools and the location was ideal. Big plus was being able to bring our family dog with us. We would stay here again!

We have spent 1 month here and loved it. The unit being on the 1st floor is a big plus . we where in and out of the place a lot and know the stairs would wear thin quickly . The unit is nicely laid out and has everything you would need for a long or short period of time. Teri the owner is always available and pleasure to deal with. My husband, myself and my five year old daughter stayed at The Dawn, Unit #213 during the 2nd week of August 2011 and we really enjoyed our stay. Since it was just a one bedroom condo, we brought an air matress that we blew up and our daughter slept on it in the HUGE, and I do mean HUGE, master bedroom closet. She thought that was cool because it was like camping out. The shower is huge - LOVED it!! The kitchen was pretty with its granite countertops. And it was so convenient to everything - beach right across the street, Wal-mart was across the street and tons of restaurants nearby. The pools were really nice too. The best part was just working with Teri though - she was awesome to deal with. Thanks again for making our stay in Galveston so memorable.

A Needed Get Away!

We spent a long Easter weekend at The Dawn in 213. It was a pleasure to work with Teri in every aspect. The fenced in yard was great for the little ones and the pools and hot tub were all available. The condo was very clean and comfortable. With Wal-mart next door anything left behind was easy to get. We would love to make it back this summer, again thanks Terri, for a much needed break.

My husband, brother and sister in law, nephew and I all stayed at the condo for Spring Break. What a blast! I'll admit, it was a little squished with all of us, but we made it work. :) Teri was very accommodating, letting us bring all our dogs and answering questions at all hours of the night. The condo is next to everything you need--the beach and Wal-mart being the most important! :) I loved cooking in the kitchen--what a dream, marble kitchen counters and brand new appliances! I highly recommend taking the horse drawn carriage ride with TJ on The Strand when you're down there, he was so informative on the history of Galveston with lots of humor thrown in and don't forget to visit La Kings while you're down there--yummy! By far one of the best vacations I've taken, though one piece of advice: WEAR SUNSCREEN! :)

Our stay at The Dawn 213 was absolutely wonderful! The condo is as beautiful as the pictures portray and perfect for our dog who enjoyed rolling in the yard right outside the patio. We spend the month of January running away from the minus 20s and three feet of snow on our roof. Had everything we needed for the month except a cook and a butler. But, there are oodles of restaurants on the island, interesting museums and tours galore. A short trip in the car adds lots more things to do. Our dog enjoyed the green grass and fenced in yard as I read a couple of books. The hard thing is reading a good book with one eye, watching the ocean with another eye, and observing the dog roll in the grass with what's left. Teri is a good landlord who responded to all of our questions and more, plus the office staff almost adopted us. Loved the work-out room - must have visited it six days a week.

Our week at the condo, Dawn #213, was one of the most relaxing, refreshing times in our 58 years of marriage. The beautiful condo was just as described by the owner, with spacious rooms and all modern appliances and amenities. The view or the Gulf of Mexico was breathtaking and the weather was absolutely perfect every day. The condo was nice and clean. One of the 2 pools is great for small children since it has shallow areas. The owner was pretty flexible when we had to reschedule our dates after booking. The only downside is that there's no sandy beach right across the street from the condo, just all rocks. Overall, nice place and location.

The condo was comfortable and overlooked the gulf. The location made it a great place to stay. Moody Gardens was less than a mile away and downtown was about 4 miles. Just far enough from the crowd yet close enough for anything you wanted to get. The property is well maintained and this unit was great.

I found the Dawn 213 while searching for a pet friendly hotel. The condo was amazing! I loved the granite in the kitchen and bathroom, and it had a wonderful glass shower that I wish I had at home. The fenced yard was perfect for our little boston terrier and she loved it. Beautiful ocean views and the condo was in a good location on the Seawall. Teri was very nice to deal with. We absolutely loved the condo and will definitely stay here again when we return to Galveston!

We had a great time at this condo. It is very nice and has a great view of the water. It is close to all the island attractions. We will definitely use this condo again when we come back to Galveston!

We just got back and can't wait to go again. Everything about this place was wonderful. We took our 2 kids (5,2) and we had a blast. This is an excellent location and very clean. This condo is downstairs and has a patio that looks out on the ocean. All of the appliances were modern, and there is a washer and dryer in the condo. We spent the days on the beach and the evenings at one of the two pools.

We stayed for a couple of days and had a wonderful time. We have two children (2 years and 10 months). The unit was plenty large for all four of us and very kid friendly. That being said, it would also be great for a couples get-away. I couldn't believe how clean the unit was and the kitchen and bathroom are gorgeous! The bed is very comfortable and we slept great. The landscaping at the condos is very beautiful and the pool is a must. I cannot say enough great things about this condo. The best thing about it is the owner Teri. She is top-notch! We will be back and now my parents are booking it for a weekend too! We plan to go back every summer as a family tradition. The condo is located close to everything good....the beach, Moody Gardens, Schlitterbahn, the Strand everything! You will not be disappointed!

We rented the Dawn 213 from Terri and the condo was wonderful. Great new bed in the master room. Condo looked brand new inside and was very clean. Terri was amazing. She even helped me find a bakery since we were coming into town to celebrate my 3 year old's birthday. Great view and close to everything. Anything and everything that you wanted was in the condo. We will be back for sure. Not only because how great the condo was but how easy Terry was to deal with. She has AWESOME customer service skills. This condo is marked in our favorites now. Book today you won't be sorry.

I took my wife and 2 year old son on a weekend vacation at the last minute. The owner made accomadations and we had a great time. The condo is clean and right on the seawall. It was nice waking up in the morning and walking to the patio and seeing the ocean. I would highly recommend...

We can't say enough about this great little condo. It was perfect for our 2 little dogs with a large fenced yard area, and tile floors throughout. The condo was spotlessly clean and well-equipted for cooking, also in a very convenient location for walking on the seawall, beach, or to the many shops nearby. And to top it off, you'll never find anyone any nicer to do business with than Teri and Rich Paszotta. So glad we found it!

We had a wonderful stay at the Dawn. Our unit was very clean and updated. The only complaint is that the complex is still under renovations, hence lots of noise from the contractors and machines they use. Other than that, the place was wonderful. Our unit was exactly as described and we enjoyed the facilities the complex offered.

This condo is in superb condition. We were 100% satisfied with choosing this condo. Perfect location, beautiful view, and close to everything. If I had to make any suggestion I would say it could use a new sofa sleeper, but other than that no complaints. If I could go back I would definately stay there again.

We stayed in a Dawn to remember. The view and location was GREAT!! It is out of the "main stream" so it is a little more private. As for the condo, it was very clean and nice. Not a lot more than your basic couch and chair. If I could recommend anything, it would be to furnish it with a little more "homey" feeling with pictures, maybe some greenery, and whatnots. The grounds were very nice and well kept. If you looking for a nice quite vacation, in a great location this is your place!

We stayed at Dawn 213 last summer and decided to come back again in 2008. It is a wonderful condo. It is decorated tastefully, and is quite new. We would certainly recommend it and plan to return.

My kids and I desperately needed a weekend getaway. The Dawn was exactly what we needed. It was clean, close to everything we needed, quiet, and our dog loved the patio. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Great property. Nice open lay-out for 1 bedroom condo. Very clean, convenient location to just about everything in Galveston. Would highly recomend staying here. We plan to go back.
