Description of the Galveston vacation condo rental

This condo is beautifully decorated, spacious, comfortable, 3 bedroom, 2 bath and sleeps up to 9. It is conveniently located by the beach club - the heart of the resort. Enjoy two private balconies with views of the beach, gulf and bay. Cook meals with family and friends in a fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances. But if you would rather let someone else do the cooking walk a few steps to the poolside restaurant at the beach club.

Pointe West is a luxurious private resort at the west end of Galveston Island, unlike anything on the upper Texas coast. It has many amenities including private beach club, infinity pool, hot tub, kids pool, lazy river pool, poolside restaurant, outside bar, fitness center, gameroom, paths for walking and biking and outside grills for barbecuing.

Galveston Island offers many attractions including Schlitterbahn Water Park, Lone Star Flight Museum and the many shops and restaurants on the famous Strand downtown. Moody Gardens is a large entertainment complex with 3 pyramids containing an aquarium, rainforest and discovery center, an IMAX 3D Theater & Colonel Paddlewheel Boat.

 Great Stay at Pointe West, June 30, 2009

Very nice accomodations at Resort West Condo Unit. 3 bed/3 bath provided ample space to enjoy the beach experience and the Pointe West resort. We found the condo unit in great shape and very clean overall with a nice view of the beach. We arrived 6/21/09 and remained through 6/26/09. Only setback was the crossover bridge to the beach was not rebuilt and not usuable as were several in the area. Short 5 minute walk though led to a path cleared through the brush. Not real handy but ok. I would suggest Pointe West take care of these bridges for the customers who pay top dollar for summer rentals in this area. The Beach club is a walk or a short car ride as is the lazy river which is on the Bay side. We never tried Topsiders Restaurant but hear it is good but a bit overpriced. We ate in and chose to drive into Galveston for a few meals. Overall, I'd recommend this area. The Beaches are clean and spacious and family friendly.

This condo was beautiful and everything was just as described. The pools are great and had easy access to the beach. The elevators were still out, but hopefully that will be repaired soon. On the third floor so if your out of shape, it's tough!! But we loved it and are already talking about coming back next year. Excellent place!!!

3 sisters brought 3 sons that graduated this year from High School. It was wonderful! Clean, beautiful pool! Nice beach and the condo was wonderful.
