Description of the Galveston vacation condo rental

Galveston Tropical Sundancer at Maravilla: You will enjoy our condo with the spacious (24 foot) private balcony where you can watch the waves, pelicans and dolphins. We have decorating our condo with tropical furnishings, granite countertops, and fully equipped the kitchen to make for a most enjoyable Galveston holiday.

The cool colors and a touch of the whimsy makes your vacation getaway condo relaxing for you and your loved ones to rent again and again. (And our repeat guests receive a 10% friend discount). "Galveston Tropical Sundancer" is truly a oceanfront condominium (1 of 12 at Maravilla ) where you can enjoy breakfast or a glass of wine on the balcony and experience the spectacular views along with ocean stretching to horizon . We also a spotting telescope and binoculars for close up views of jumping dolphins or fishing trawlers .

You will also enjoy the spectacular sunrises over the Gulfful ocean each morning, either from the comfort of the king sized master size bedroom, the living area or the balcony ( round table with 4 chairs and 2 Adirondack chairs.

The living/eating/dinning areas are open so it is convenient to visit with friends and family. Preparing a meal in the dkitchen or cleaning up doesn't seem like work at all when you look out and see the crashing waves of Gulf . We enjoy creating meals so our kitchen is fully stocked with glasses including champagne flutes,marguerita glasses, wine glassesas well as a variety of "beachy" serving dishes. We also have a microwave, blender, toaster, electric griddle, hand mixer and even a crock pot

If you desire, watch our large wide screen TV-DVD Player completed with premium cable and a collection of my favorite DVD’s, currently over 30 from the living room. If you would rather read or play family games, we have that available also with books and games such as backgammon and chess.

The master suite awaits you with a king sized bed and mirror wall of closets. Second flat screened TV along with premium cable connection so that our guests can watch their favorite movies, while enjoying the comfort of their bed. The master suite features over size tile showers completed with multiple showers heads .

The second luxurious bedroom features queen sized bed. In that bedroom we have TV just for videos and the XBOX 360 arcade that we offer for little champions. Bring your games if you wiish. There is a comfortable pull out sofa aong with 2 bunk beds .

Area Information

Since you are on the near west end of the island, you are also close to Schlitterbahn Water Park, the award-winning Moody Gardens Golf Course, Scholes Airport, the Lone Star Flight museum, Moody Gardens and wonderful places to bird watch.

Beautiful Views from Tropical Sundancer

We so enjoyed our stay at the Tropical Sundancer. The condo has everything you need for cooking a meal of all the wonderful seafood Galveston has to offer and a large balcony with table and chairs to enjoy the meal while watching the waves roll into the shore. Marilyn and Larry accomodated our need for a flexible arrival time, which we really appreciated since we were driving down from Minnesota and never know what type of road conditions we may encounter up north in the winter months. The bulding itself is very nicely maintained. The grounds are beautiful and the covered parking is very convenient. The weather was beautiful and we enjoyed our stay very much. This was our 2nd year in Galveston, at the Maravilla, and we are already checking dates for next year to come back to the "Tropical Sundancer".

Loved our stay in paradise

Marilyn was such a pleasure dealing with. She was very sweet and open to answer any questions we had. This condo was perfect for my family of four and really made our vacation a comfortable memorable stay. I especially loved enjoying my glass of wine while reading a book in the comfort of a king size bed with the balcony door open listening to the roaring waves of the ocean. I wanted to stay like that forever. The hot tub was also a nice relaxing luxury in the evenings. My youngest slept on the top bunk of the bunk beds in the hall. She thought that was so neat. My oldest found her own retreat in the 2nd bedroom. The layout was nice and everything we needed the condo was equipped with. It was in the perfect location away from all the hustle and bustle yet close enough too! We ate at some wonderful places nearby and especially loved Salsas. The Rainforest cafe was mediocre and I think we'll eat dessert only next time so we still get the experience. The moody Gardens was only a hop, skip and a jump Away and was fun for us all. I'm a woman who loves to shop and really enjoyed the strand area. We got suckered in to a dolphin excursion that we paid to see dolphins and didn't see one. My children had to wait out a 45 minute historical boat ride that ended in tears. However, we did learn about the bolivar ferry that we could ride for free and see lots of dolphins. We had a blast on that. We decided to walk on it rather than drive and didn't have to wait at all. My girls loved our adventures but also loved coming back to the condo to unwind and watch the waves or the tv. There was construction going on but with the location of our condo and the times that they were allowed to work we never heard a thing. When we got back I passed along the information of this condo to two other friends that will be staying here over the summer and we will be returning to stay here again. This location and the ambiance can't be beat! If anybody stays here and happens to find a white jewelry boy full of keepsake cross necklaces my daughter got from her baptism we would love to work out something to get those back:( Anyways, you will love your stay here all the way from the beginning to the end! pet friendly stay

the owner, Marilyn Swanson, made our stay a personal one. Everything worked and was very clean. It appears to have been recently redone and looked great.We have two greyhounds and they made themselves at home with no problems. The only shortcoming we could find was, we were not directly on the beach but we knew this starting out, however, we found a great beach about a mile down the highway where you could actually drive onto the sand and park where you wanted without crowds. Loved it as did our grand daughter. This was here high school graduation gift from northern Illinois where the beaches and salt water is scarce.

Wonderful Holiday Retreat

We enjoyed the view of the ocean and amenities at the Maravilla. Sitting on the balcony in the mornings with our cup of coffee was so nice and the building was quiet and tenants friendly. The pet friendly condo made our family weekend even more enjoyable. The owners provided many little things that made for a comfortable stay. Thanks!
