Description of the Galveston vacation cottage rental

Brand new 5 bedroom property located in the exclusive Pointe West community on Galveston's west end. Several large balconies with expansive bay and beach views! Our property is over 3000 square feet and has 2 master suites perfect for 2 families!

4 bedrooms have queen size beds, dressers, and flat screen LCD televisions with built in DVD players. Each room has french doors opening up to the balcony. The kids room has 2 full size bunk beds with plenty of room.

The 2 master bedrooms also have master baths with tiled stand-up shower, separate garden tubs, and dual sinks with granite tops.

There is a 55 inch HD LCD TV with DVD player in the living room, and there is plenty of room to entertain. We have a fully functional kitchen and GE Profile appliances perfect for cooking!

January 1 to Feb 28 = 3 night minimum
March 1 to March 31 = 4 night minimum
April 1 to May 26 = 3 night minimum
May 27 to Sept 7 = 4 night minimum
Sept 8 to Dec 31 = 3 night minimum

Pointe West stretches across more than a thousand acres on the western tip of Galveston Island. It is the Islands only resort style community on such a grand scale. Pointe West features a Private Beach Club and a multitude of destination resort amenities.

Our rental rate includes taxes and insurance, and there is a 95.00 cleaning fee.

 Great place for family vacation!, July 25, 2009

We surprised our parents with this family trip for their 40th anniversary. We had 10 adults and 7 kids under 6 yrs and all slept comfortable. Great views on both ends of the house of the bay and the beach. Pointe West amentities are big plus++. The beach resort neighborhood and grounds are well taken care of. Kitchen needs a few more essential cooking items - measuring cups, wine glasses, newer cooking sheets. Full washer & dryer was handy. Mosquitos weren't a problem for us. This was a great vacation house for our family trip.

We just completed our stay in Galveston. The house was just perfect. My family was very comfortable, the location was super, and with access to the Beach Club and Lazy River pools there was something for everyone. The house is well-equipped for cooking for a crowd. We enjoyed sunrises, sunsets and crabbing with the grandkids. I think we might make this an annual event. The only negative we could find, were the mosquitos, but with bug spray this wasn't a big issue.

 

 Perfect Wedding Week, May 26, 2009

Our family (9 adults and 4 grandchildren)stayed at this Pointe West Villa May 18-24 2009 for our son's wedding. The house is really nice with plenty of room for our large family. Our grown children used all of the amenities at the beach club, and the lazy river was perfect for the children. We chose this area because there is more to do at Pointe West than just the beach. Some preferred the beach and others preferred the pools, game room, and work-out center. It was a great week and a great wedding on Sat. at the Hotel Galvez. We would love to go back when there is no wedding to prepare for so that the entire week would be nothing but fun and relaxing. Thanks Chad, You have a lovely home.

 

 Great Family Escape Close to Home, May 16, 2009

MEMORIES! We stayed in May 2008, & we're still talking about it! We usually vacation in 5-star hotels with amazing amenities. This house did not disappoint & met our high expectations. Location is great. Galeveston's west end is more secluded than rest of island; it feels like a resort due to neighborhood amenity center (pool/restaurant/work out facility/private beach). 2nd pool/lazy river was a HUGE hit with our son. Can walk to lzy rvr but drive to amenity ctr. Good views of sunrise/ocean and GREAT views of sunset/bay. We had 4 adults/1 child & were VERY comfortable. My parents had 1st level suite while my husband/son/me took over the 2nd level (where all other bedrooms located). One caution to folks with small kids: stairs can be tricky. Might want to bring a safety gate for the 1st level. Hammock, balconies, grill were great! Owners could add a golf cart to putz around as the 'hood is big. Beds were just ok, BUT, we're picky about beds. PS2 game was big bonus per my kid. ENJOY!

 

 A five star Mothers Day, May 15, 2009

We had the best weekend at your home.The photos on your sight we beautiful, but the home is gorgeous, the photos did not do the villa justice. We loved the warm colors and the stairs .The bedrooms were awesome as were the bathrooms.We did not need anything just as you had said.We utilized the club pools,they were beatiful.It was almost like being on an exotic island.We fished in the bay and taught our grandchildren to crab.Wecaught 52 big blue crabs.The balconies were used the most I think,we had our morning coffee outside and watched the sun come up.we also ate out there in the evening to enjoy the sun going down. The views from either side of the house were absolutely breathtaking.Anyone that has never seen one of our Texas sunrises or sunsets needs to see it from Pointe West. My mother at 73 years old had a really good time and she also utilized the facilities. So this community is for families of all age ranges. We always try to make Mothers Day special and it was. Thank you chad!
