Description of the Galveston vacation home rental
Imagine the sounds of the waves breaking just beyond your balcony and the fresh smell of salt in the air. Relax on the beach and enjoy a break whenever you like in your own charming seaside cottage. Very spacious bedrooms including a lavish executive retreat with upgraded whirlpool tub in master bath on the upper level with private covered balcony. On the main level, get together with family and friends in the bright and spacious Great Room that opens into an oversized veranda.
Area Information
This RESORT COMMUNITY is a one of a kind luxury experience. Enjoy all the amenities walking and biking trails, kids park, beach, and lagoons.
A $165 cleaning and linen fee will be assessed at departure. A $35 reservation fee will also be assessed. We also require a minimum $250 refundable security deposit.
Check in 3:00 and check out 11:00 AM. Early check-in or late check-out may be arranged if no other parties are checking in or out the same day.

This was our second visit with my family, parents and in-laws. Everyone had a great time. The house has a great layout with every room having its own bathroom. Great location, short walk to the beach. As we were packing and we already started planning for next year.

It is hard to tell from pictures if you have made a good choice in a beach rental, but we were very impressed with this house! It was beautifully decorated, very short walk to the beach, and the pool was awesome. Each room has their own bathroom and laundry room upstairs made it extra comfortable. Here are two tips I wish we had known: 1) the pool facilities require a $20.00 fee which is not included in your rental agreement, and the dining room table in the house has enough seating for 6. We counted the chairs from the pictures online and fortunately had packed a few more folding chairs for the table. Make sure to read the rental agreement about what else you need to bring. I would definitely recommend this beach house - we had a blast!!

We just spent a great weekend at this beach house! More than enough room for 4 couples and 4 kids ages 3 and under. Never felt cramped. Comfy beds, great kitchen, nice furnishings. The sunset and sunrise from the balcony porch is breath-taking. The beach was very nice and not overly-crowded. Don't plan to boogie-board, as the water is pretty tame at this location. Beach house pool and amenities wonderful. Can't go wrong with this house and Pointe West!

Great Galveston Weekend

Our vacation home was really nice--very spacious for our ten people (4 of which were small children). The only negative was due to tap water not being available for several hours after our arrival--necessitating our buying ice and drinking water for the entire weekend. That certainly wasn't the fault of the owner, but it was inconvenient and a bit more costly. The club house/pool areas were very nice for swimming, etc.

The house provided everyhting we were looking for and more...My 2 year old and 4 year old loved the beach and clubhouse/pool areas while my wife and I enjoyed relaxing on the porch in the evening watching the sunset...The property was also close to a few newly found fishing spots that produced a fish on each outing...Would highly recommend the property and the area...

We loved our trip to Pointe West. We stayed a week and never got bored. There was plenty to do on property and the house was great! It was clean and it had everything that we needed. The staff that worked at Pointe West weren't always with it though. They didn't have answers to a lot of our questions and sometimes the planned activities were a little unorganized, but that won't stop us from returning to Pointe West! Also, we had a very pleasant experience renting through Castaways. They were very helpful and easy to work with!

A group of friends got together and stayed at a home at Pointe West for the Memorial Day weekend. I had stayed at the condos before, so I felt comfortable that the homes would be just as nice. Our experience was really great. The house had 4 bedrooms, and each bedroom had their own bathroom, so everyone had their own "space." The house comes with all the basics provided (sheets, towels, dishes, etc.) that were not offered at other houses in Galveston that we looked at. There is plenty of room outside the house for bbqs and baby pools. The subdivision is very well manicured, and has access to both the beach and a wonderful pool. This area of the beach is nice, because it still has an actual "beach" area with dry sand where you can set up your chairs, etc., and the sand is dry. In other areas of Galveston, the beach has eroded, and definitely not as nice. The pool area was a blast (we were mostly at the baby pool), and the service was good as well (ordering drinks by the pool).

We spent a long girls' weekend at a Pointe West property (our second in 2 years). 3 moms and 7 high school girls slept comfortably and had a wonderful time (even though the weather didn't COMPLETELY cooperate!) When we couldn't play on the beach we played in our beautiful and well-equipped cottage...Everyone had a comfortable place to sleep and we moms spent some quality time with our noses in our respective books on the porch. When the sun finally came out to stay we spent an entire day on the private and beautifully groomed beach! It was a great and very memorable time for 7 BEST friends--they are already talking about next year!! Thank you for having us. P.S. Wonderful Resort

We absolutely loved Pointe West - the pools were great - the staff and the decor of the villas were top notch. The only thing I would change is the comfort of the bed (it was a little too firm for my taste). The resort made you feel like you were at a resort for Movie Stars - great food, great time and great fun. Will definitely stay there again.
