Pointe West Beach House $200.00 per night (#14144)

Write a review This is a beautiful home and so comfortable. I loved that it had four bedrooms and bathrooms. Clean, cool, great kitchen! The beach club is resort quality as well. It felt like we were in the tropics, not Texas!! We just spent a great weekend at this beach house! More than enough room for 4 couples and 4 kids ages 3 and under. Never felt cramped. Comfy beds, great kitchen, nice furnishings. The sunset and sunrise from the balcony porch is breath-taking. The beach was very nice and not overly-crowded. Don't plan to boogie-board, as the water is pretty tame at this location. Beach house pool and amenities wonderful. Can't go wrong with this house and Pointe West! Our vacation home was really nice--very spacious for our ten people (4 of which were small children). The only negative was due to tap water not being available for several hours after our arrival--necessitating our buying ice and drinking water for the entire weekend. That certainly wasn't the fault of the owner, but it was inconvenient and a bit more costly. The club house/pool areas were very nice for swimming, etc. The house provided everyhting we were looking for and more...My 2 year old and 4 year old loved the beach and clubhouse/pool areas while my wife and I enjoyed relaxing on the porch in the evening watching the sunset...The property was also close to a few newly found fishing spots that produced a fish on each outing...Would highly recommend the property and the area... The home was beautiful and ideally located just a block from Jamaica Beach. Beautiful views of the gulf from the deck. All 10 of us slept comfortably. It was perfect weekend. We'll definitely be back. A group of friends got together and stayed at a home at Pointe West for the Memorial Day weekend. I had stayed at the condos before, so I felt comfortable that the homes would be just as nice. Our experience was really great. The house had 4 bedrooms, and each bedroom had their own bathroom, so everyone had their own "space." The house comes with all the basics provided (sheets, towels, dishes, etc.) that were not offered at other houses in Galveston that we looked at. There is plenty of room outside the house for bbqs and baby pools. The subdivision is very well manicured, and has access to both the beach and a wonderful pool. This area of the beach is nice, because it still has an actual "beach" area with dry sand where you can set up your chairs, etc., and the sand is dry. In other areas of Galveston, the beach has eroded, and definitely not as nice. The pool area was a blast (we were mostly at the baby pool), and the service was good as well (ordering drinks by the pool). We spent a long girls' weekend at a Pointe West property (our second in 2 years). 3 moms and 7 high school girls slept comfortably and had a wonderful time (even though the weather didn't COMPLETELY cooperate!) When we couldn't play on the beach we played in our beautiful and well-equipped cottage...Everyone had a comfortable place to sleep and we moms spent some quality time with our noses in our respective books on the porch. When the sun finally came out to stay we spent an entire day on the private and beautifully groomed beach! It was a great and very memorable time for 7 BEST friends--they are already talking about next year!! Thank you for having us. P.S.
