Description of the Galveston vacation home rental
After having fun on the beach all day, you can relax on the deck and watch the beautiful Gulf of Mexico directly in front of you from our spacious deck. We have a charcoal BBQ pit to grill your catch from the day.
In the evening ,take a dip in the hottub on the deck and sip champagne while enjoying the stars and relaxing ocean breezes. If a movie is in order, we have TVs, Cable, and DVD players. This is great for entertaining the kids while the parents relax on the deck.

We stayed in this lovely beach house from April 3rd until April 7th. We were very pleased with everything about it, especially the view, which is amazing!! We spent our 34th wedding anniversary here and will probably make it a yearly thing!! We are thinking about trying to book it for sometime this summer too! We highly recommend this lovely place to anyone and doing business with Paul was so easy! He is the best! Thanks for an awesome vacation.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Vista Grande. We had two weekends, one with local friends and one with kids and grandkids. Unfortunately we had some unusual weather the first weekend, but there was enough to do to compensate for the strong winds. The next weekend with family turned out to be quite pleasant weather wise. The grandkids really enjoyed playing on the beach. We ate out a lot and our best meal was from Waterman's just across the main road. We did a Segway tour and ate a lot of "Hey Mikey's" ice cream. Great birthday for me!

We stayed at Vista Grande and it was everything they said it would be. There were 8 of us and everyone slept great. The kitchen had everything we needed and it was very clean, as were The bathrooms. We spent s great deal of time on the balcony the view was awesome. The hot tub was a nice addition to our evenings. Even during the day my kids enjoyed it. The proximity to the beach was fantastic. We spent a week and I would have loved to stay longer. I would absolutely stay again!!

The home was clean, fresh and had all the right accomodations for a relaxing get-away. The views were amazing and the access to the beach could not have been more easy. The owner was fantastic to work with. I will definitely return. The only downside was the large amount of seaweed this year, but that's more/less to be expected with Galveston.

We absolutely loved our stay at Vista Grande! The panoramic views from the deck are fabulous. It's very close to area attractions (15 mins) and has very easy access to the beach. Paul was great to work with and quickly answered any questions. The weather was fantastic for us as well! All in all, we had a perfect time. Easily one of our best vacations ever. We're already making plans to go back.

Wonderful House Steps Away From The Waves

We loved this house....the deck, the hot tub, the sound of waves, the great views, a fantastic treasure of a place! Highly recommend this house if you love the beach and want to step out your door and stroll on the sands and splash in the waves. Everything you need is provided and Galveston is just minutes away if you want some shopping and dining out to make your vacation complete. I think I could have just spent every minute we were there on that deck and walking the shoreline.

We had a really great weekend at this house. The rental process was painless and the owner's communication is great. The house is literally steps from the sand. Views from the family room and the back deck are awesome. Really nice sunrises and sunsets. The accomodations are very good, everything works. The interior is very comfortable and modern looking. Super experience for us and our friends. This house is highly recommended.

My husband, two daughters and I had a wonderful time at the Vista Grande! I enjoyed watching my husband and 4 year old play on the beach, while my one-year-old napped and I spent some much needed me-time on the deck. Great house and plenty of room for the 4 of us. Hubby and I enjoyed the hot tub after the girls went to sleep! Loved stepping out of the house onto the beach. Easily accessible from major roads and about a 15 min. drive to The Strand. Would recommend it to anyone!

The house was very comfortable and in a perfect location. The weather wasn't ideal the first day or two, but we enjoyed the wonderful view, hot tub and late night videos. The next day was perfect sunning on the deck and playing in the surf. I would stay here again.

Wonderful! Plenty of room. Beautiful View. Friendly Neighborhood! My husband and I took our two little girls, ages 3 & 19 mo., to the beach for a family vacation. We enjoyed the beach, went fishing on the bay and visted Jamaica Beach just a mile west. Everyday was enjoyable! We ate at Fisherman's Wharf and Rainforest Cafe, and both were equally delicious! We rented the house for the weekend to celebrate my daughter's 17th birthday. We looked at a lot of houses but the hot tub on the deck overlooking the ocean cinched the deal. The weather was absolutely perfect for this time of year. The house was wonderfully equipped. I was a little worried about only having two bedrooms with six people but the floorplan really maximized space. And having two bathrooms really helped. Paul was great to work with. I would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely Perfect!

This is the perfect place to stay while in Galveston. The home is right on the beach making it easy to keep an eye on the kids from the windows or the deck. You practically walk out the door and you're on the beach. The December weather was perfect. There were scattered sprinkles our first day but we spent part of the day at the Flight Museum (about 7 miles down the road); had a nice lunch at The Strand and ended the excursion with dessert at the Nestle Cafe - chocolate & ice cream - it doesn't get any better. The kids spent all day playing on the beach; coming in to eat and then going right back out again. We definitely saved money by doing our own cooking and it was nice since pans, dishes and silverware are provided. We even made cookies since a cookie sheet was there. The hot tub was amazing and the kids had a blast playing Marco Polo in it. Who knew? It was great not having to haul our own beach chairs or towels. It was absolutely wonderful staying at this home. Spectacular ocean and sunset views. Very calming and soothing staying here but also very convenient to restaurants, putt-putt, museums and shopping which are only about 10 minutes away.

People don’t usually associate November with the beach…well let me tell you it is the best time to go. My sons are older so my family typically does not get in the water anymore so the November chill does not affect us (it’s actually nice). The beaches are perfect for walking and finding shells that have not been trampled by the crowds that are usually running around. The hot tub makes for a wonderful evening with a glass of wine and the ocean waves in the background; the entire downstairs is very spa like. Not to mention it is off-season so the rates are more affordable. This house is beautiful and very nicely decorated; you typically do not find such attention to detail in a rental property. My family has been looking into buying some property on the Island and if this property ever went up for sale I would jump on it…Simply Perfect! The owners were very accommodating with our last minute reservation and made every effort to make sure our stay went perfectly!! My kids are college age and almost college age so these mini-vacations do not come as often as they use too, so when my husband and I are fortunate enough to steal a weekend away with them it is so wonderful when everything goes as well as it did!! Thanks for sharing your home with us!!

Just Perfect!

That's all I heard all weekend! I rented the house for a 'girl's weekend' for six women. The house was the perfect size for us, the location couldn't BE any better; the view is amazing. We took naps on the balcony, went crabbing in the dark, soaked in the hot tub. We didn't leave the place except to go to the store for more 'provisions'. I had never rented a house before but the owner made the entire transaction simple and quick, Very nice to work with. We are already planning our next visit and one of the women is planning to rent the house for a week in the summer for her family. We said we now have "our" own house in Galveston. Just lovely.

our stay is always great but our accomodations at vista grande turned great into awesome. the house was everything it promised to be and more. the house itself is wonderful and being front row gave us the flexiblity to come back and forth to the beach for breaks or lunch quickly without interrupting beach time. we cant wait to stay here again. i cant find any reason to even look for a "better" house i cant imagine there being one. and the property owner was great to work with. we will be back!

It was an awesome place to stay. The beach was very nice and it was not overly crowded. The A/C worked great when you needed to go in and cool off. The beach house was very nice and clean and updated. It gave us serenity. The sound of the ocean is all we could hear, (not cars and traffic.) So as a travel agent, I would definately recommend this place to all that love serenity.

It will be difficult to find a better location on any beach in Galveston. My family with kids ranging in ages from 5-11 had an awesome time. Between the beach, hot tub, trip to Moody Gardens, etc. there was plenty to do. The house was clean with more than enough amenities to make our stay everything that we wanted. Even the fishing in front of the house was great! There are only two things that could be improved. The beach was full of seaweed, and the bbq pit was a little small. But neither of these diminished from our experience! We would definitely rent this property again.

We had a great time here. Kids loved the beach. I loved the fact that it was not crowded. Sat in the hot tub every night which was very relaxing. Being from Dallas, it was nice to actually see stars. Neighborhood was quiet and relaxed. House was perfect. We usually book a different house each summer, but may have found the one that we stick with year after year.

Paul, your place is amazing! Stayed a week with our 3 college age sons and their girlfriends. The sleeping arrangements were perfect for us, and the open concept gave us plenty of space for dining, board games and reading. We actually never ate out because no one wanted to leave! We all enjoyed the hot tub and the view from the large deck was beautiful, which led to watercolor paintings and guitar playing. We also brought a volleyball net with us and spent hours in fierce competition. Everyone agreed this was one of the easiest, most relaxing and fun vacations we've ever taken. Thanks Paul!

We just returned from a girls' get away and we just loved the place. The best thing is that it is right on the beach. It was paradise to just sit on the deck and watch the waves and the birds. The house is immaculate and is bright and airy. The kitchen is well stocked with pans, dishes, etc. The futons in the living room were not too comfortable. Normally we would not have been using them very much but we had a very rainy Saturday so we watched movies. Overall, I highly recommend this lovely place. We are plannning a return trip in the fall!

While staying at Paul's beach house, it was a full moon---the moonlight shining on the water was beautifully amazing! Our grandchildren loved playing on the beach and flying kites. The house was very comfortable with relaxing views from every window. We highly recommend this rental!

Our first time to Galveston and we could not have been happier with the house we rented. The sunrise over the water was incredible. Nice, quiet neighborhood and we had fun just relaxing on the beach building sandcastles with our son, boogie boarding, and fishing off the surf. The house is open, clean and lots of windows facing the water, which is just what we were looking for. With our one and only rainy day all week we were close enough to a variety of indoor activities to pass the day away. Paul made the whole process effortless. Without a doubt we will be back.

THE PERFECT BEACH FRONT GET AWAY

This beach front rental was just what we were looking for. It's right on the beach with a nice amount of spacing between the neighboring properties. No vehicles are allowed on the beach here, so you don't have to worry about vehicle traffic or parked cars on the beach in front of the house. The house was clean, had all necessary ammenities, and lots of windows towards the beach. It was just my wife and I on this trip, so I can't really comment on the bedding other than the Master which was very comfortable. When the temps are moderate the windows allow a nice sea breeze feel throughout the house. The air temps were a little cool this January weekend and the water temp was 56, which made the hot tub really, really nice to have, especially under clear starry nights. The over water sunrises were incredible and getting up early is not much of a problem because there's nothing like taking a midday nap while listening to the waves and feeling a light sea breeze. Paul was a pleasure to work with, very helpful, and returned the cleaning deposit almost immediately upon checkout. Whether or not we'll be back is not a question at all. It's just a matter of when we'll be back and whether or not we'll bring anyone else with us?

I love the location of this house, and it has a fabulous view. You feel very private and quiet as well. There is enough activity from people enjoying the beach but nothing that bothers you. The house itself has happy cool colors and an open feeling. Everything you need is provided so no need to load up with dishes, etc. Also, the location is quite covenient to restaurants in town or on the West End of the Island. Great place!

The house was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. It was great for a 2 1/2 yr old who got stuck indoors most of the weekend due to rain and cold b/c he had a great view of the beach and birds and enjoyed running out on the deck in between showers. We got to briefly enjoy the hot tub and hope to come back when the weather is better to really enjoying being on the beach and sitting in the hot tub listening to the waves. All the pictures show what the house looks like and Paul the owner is helpful with the booking process. We will come back!

Paul, we love your house. We've rented numerous houses on Galveston's west end beaches over the years, and your place is certainly one of our favorites. It has all of the ammenties we could have asked for. Beautiful views, great location, comfortable clean furniture,fantastic hottub, and a fully stocked kitchen. This is the first time that we rented directly from the owner as opposed to going trough a realestate company. You made the whole process go flawlessly. You honored all of your promises, including refunding our cleaning deposit the day after we left. All of the representations and descriptions on the web are very accurate. In short, everything was as advertised. We really enjoyed our stay. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. We'll be back soon.

We stayed at the Vista Grande house just west of Pirates Beach, located on the beach. The weather didn't really cooperate, it rained; however, we've needed rain so badly in Galveston, I have no complaints on the weather issue. The house was clean and neat when we arrived. It held all the amenities we wanted, plus some. Everyone had a great time, since it was mostly overcast we had great "cool" weather days. I've already recommended this house to another and would do so without question to others that asked.

We were there for my wife's 30th b-day and she loved it. The house was very nice and the location was spectacular. The view from the living and deck were priceless. We enjoyed it and the kids loved the fact that the beach was just outside and a few footsteps from the door. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone looking for a nice weekend getaway. Very peaceful community and clean beach. Can't wait to do it again

Love the location, right on the beach. Quiet family beach and neat and clean, simple house. Deck has shade and sun for everyone. Love the hot tub! Remember to bring your own dish soap, hand soap, toiletries, towels, etc. and you'll be very pleased with this home. Watch out for the jelly fish!

From it's quietly beautiful sunrises to breathtaking sunsets, this roomy vacation home offered a wonderful gathering place for our family. We enjoyed the relaxation of the hot tub, walks on the beach at all hours, collecting shells and playing in the surf. Also enjoyable was the frequent formation fly-bys of the natural wildlife. We stayed for 2 nights in Vista Grande with our toddler and my parents. Everybody really enjoyed the house - and the location on the beach is excellent. The deck has no stairs so that's great for small kids. I would definitely consider going back.

we were looking for a vacation with our 2 1/2 and 1 1/2 year old (not an easy task :) ) But this house was perfect for us. the main deck area with the hot tub on it does not have a staircase the furnishings are nice but not "too nice" that you worry about having toddlers there. The beach is right in front of the house now there are no dunes or grass anymore to walk over. My husband fished off the beach and caught 3-5 fish a day. The kids just loved the beach, we made sand castles all day! The owner (Paul)is very nice and super easy to work with. We will definatley be back many times!!

This home was perfect for our little winter getaway. It was convenient, clean, roomy, and to sit in the hot tub at night stargazing is worth the price alone! There is nothing between you and the beach, where we found a variety of seashells like no where else! Our 6-year-old son was completely content here and so were we.

My family and I had a wonderful time at Galveston Beach. The house has a wonderful location sitting right at the edge of the beach. The deck overlooking the ocean was our favorite spot in the evening for listening to the waves crash and watching the shooting stars overhead. We had a wonderful time in galveston. When we entered the beach house there was jazz music playing and the place smelled great. This really set a great mood. The hot tub alone was enough to entertain us but we had the beach too!The view from the house is perfect. We have always stayed at a condo, but decide to try a beach house this time. It was a very good decision. The hot tub under the stars at night with the cool breeze blowing is something you just have to experience for yourself! It was GREAT!!! We will be back in this house again!

The weather was outstanding which is a chance you take during hurricane season. The view from the deck was wonderful. The only issue was the frig and ice maker. Frig would not stay very cold and the ice maker formed a block of ice instead of cubes every time a new batch of ice was dropped

We really enjoyed our stay at the Vista Grande!!!! The views were beautiful! We were worried about being down in Galveston on the 4th of July, but it was perfect. We had a spectacular firework show right over our deck. In the evening the kids had a blast crabbing. The only thing I hated about our trip was we got burned and were not able to enjoy the hot tub. If we go back to Galveston we will definately plan on staying at this house again. I have recommended it to many friends and family!

Well all I can say is thaat it was a great experience. The house fit all of our needs for the week./ The cement underneath was great for the girls to sidewalk chalk. The outdoor shower was a godsend. My husband and I rented the beach house for a week for my 50th birthday. Some days friends joined us, others days it was just us - great house, great view, great fun!! We played volleyball on the beach and hung out on the deck, went for walks every day. It was the best place for relaxing and enjoying friends. Can't wait to go back. The hot tub was especially nice to enjoy the view, beautiful skies and the shooting stars. The house was bigger and more beautiful than we guessed from just peaking through the windows before we rented.

Our family's overall experience was terrific. The location is perfect. It is very close to town. A better view of the Gulf can't be found. The hot tub works adequately as long as it remains covered when unused. The floor plan is excellent. Moreover, the kitchen is well equipped. The only two things I recommend is a thorough cleaning of the kitchen cabinets and appliances. A supply of pot holders would be beneficial, too. It was nice to have a grill available for our use. The washer/dryer were a plus. The bathrooms were nice and clean. The spacing of the other homes away from the property provides privacy for vacationers. It is ideal.

My husband Jaime, 2 daughters Isabel and Rebecca and I along with my mom Alva and stepdad David, Juanita, Eddie and Deanna all had a wonderful Thanksgiving break and even celebrated Deanna's 2nd b-day. The house was spacious and had all the amenities we needed. We enjoyed the view of the ocean from the big windows and the hot tub was great even with the cool weather. The girls enjoyed walking by the beach which was just steps away. The nearby attractions were great such as the Moody Gardens. We'll be back as soon as it gets warm!

As a two working, parent home with two children living in the city, the stress, and pressure can all be so overwhelming our visit on the Beach Front was just what we needed, the view was mind blowing, making you feel as if you had no worries, the children had more than enough room to enjoy themselves, we had no reason to tour our go out, everything we needed was at the home and beech. We took long walks on the sand during the day and counted stars at night. It was the most peaceful experience I've had yet. The best part about the house, is so easy maintance, so you can spend more of your time enjoying yourself and your family.

Thankyou for the amazing time we were able to have at your house. If you fish, this is the place to go because it is near one of the best surf fishing spots on the island (13 mile rd).
