Description of the Galveston vacation home rental

For our awesome previous guest keeping track of our home's repairs from Hurricane Ike, it has been a long few month's.
The insurance companies have been slow to get their paperwork in order and move forward, but they are now and we are off to getting Noah's Ark back in better shape than ever! Tomorrow we put on a new super roof that is supposed to withstand 130 mph winds and impact resistant. That should emliminate the problems we had this time by putting on the best roof possible. The land damage should be addressed as soon as the flood insurance determines which surface is best for us. We know, but they have to agree.
We are still blessed that our home is standing tall and able to be repaired. My choice of name for our home has really been the blessing is stands for. The Ark protected our subdivision by staying exactly where it should. We are excited to go into 2009 with a new smile on our homes face and welcome previous and new guest. Thank all of you for your prayers. They were needed and appreciated.
We are now taking reservations again for 2009.
LaWanda

Awesome oceanfront four bedroom two bath with a huge loft near Galveston. You can fish into the gulf right from our property! It is not uncommon to catch a 30 or 40 pound red fish right from the deck! The views are absolutely the best available. Huge kitchen, family areas all look out to the ocean. Watch the dolphins play from the 50 foot deck, find sandollars on your beach walk. Rest in this quiet community! Owner rental means the home is well kept. We will consider well trained pets with a $100 fee. Feel free to call or email in spite of the calendar. Call or email for daily prices and weekend prices when available.

 Family Reunion!, July 21, 2008
By Kristin (Dallas, TX area)
I absolutely love this house. I am now in college, but when I was in junior high and highschool my dad's side of the family stayed in this house. We rented it several years in a row! My cousins and I still talk about what a great time we had here. This house is very spacious and open. The girl cousins took over the loft which was a huge treat and the best view of the ocean. I was in Galveston this past weekend and we drove out to see how it looked. Hopefully we can have a reunion next summer in this house! I can't wait!

The property was everything it advertised. The house was spacious (8 Adults and 3 small children in our group). We fished right off the back deck and caught catfish till we got tired, also sand trout and a redfish. The house stayed cool (which was great in June). We will definitely try this property again.

Rogers Family vacation, June 29, 2008
By Randy Rogers (Frisco Texas)
I wanted to thank you for renting us your place for an excellent family vacation. We planned this thing for about 9 months and when I saw your property online I knew it was perfect for us. This was the first vacation with my two daughters and grandaughter in over 10 years and the 1st with my parents and brother in well over 30 years. It was the first with my new sister in law, son in law and grandaughter There was a lived in quality about the place which allowed us to relax and feel at home. For eleven people it was very comfortable and there was more than enough room.. The way things are set up, the house is very livable. The living room, kitchen and dining room area all being one very large room, we never felt crowded. We really did like the layout of the house. It was a big plus. Four bedrooms and two full baths, with two bedrooms and a bathroom on each side of the house via a short access hall on each side makes a very usable design. The floorplan provided a surprising amount

Gee, what can we say, we were just awed by the view. You see nothing but ocean from their deck. My husband loved the fishing and caught so many he was having to throw some back. My teens hit the beach which is just steps from the house and used their boogie boards and my one surfer had some pretty good waves. We slept like babies with the ocean sounds and the comfortable beds. The kids love their own room in the loft. The house was very comfortable and nice for our extended family get together. We plan to get back very soon. Thank you Royer family for being so nice and helpful to us!

 Noah's Ark Rocks, January 3, 2008
By vaas (chicago IL)
This place is amazing!..eventhough it is like a 20min away from Galveston I would prefer this place for gud home plan type of activities. People say it is an amazing place for fishing but never get a chance to do. You can waatch dolphins right outta the deck while having coffee.. close to beach..etc.

Lin Group Retreat, November 14, 2007
By Gim Lin (Clear lake, Texas USA)
It is indeed an awesome oceanfront home. The house is clean spacious for 13 of us. The view is postcard perfect and there are many activities to do. We enjoyed fishing from the deck, walking on the beach and collecting seashells. A big school of mullets even put on a show for us when the fishing light shone on them. This is one of the best place for vacation, retreat, or family gathering.

OUR FIRST FAMILY VACATION, October 4, 2007
By Donna Bourgeois (St. Amant, LA USA)
This was our family's first vacation together since our children were grown. It was fantastic! The house was beautiful and very spacious. My husband and son-in-laws caught a lot of fish both days we were there. The fish were everywhere. The view was spectacular with the sun coming up in the morning and the sunset was awesome. We want very much to come back again and hope to stay longer next time. Thank you for letting us stay in your home. The Bourgeois' from Louisiana!

One of a kind fishing spot!!, September 12, 2006
By The McCarty Family (Rodessa, Louisiana USA)
Our family has visited the beaches of Texas many times in the last 10 years. This rental is the most unique, especially if you enjoy fishing. You are able to fish directly into the Gulf.On Saturday and Sunday morning, I have never seen so many fish in one place. We also saw a sea turtle , a stingray, and a large dolphin. The home is lovely and very comfortable as well. We enjoyed our stay very much! The McCarty's from Louisiana
