Enjoyed Dolphins shows from patio. Owners are very nice and thoughtful. Made us feel like home. Very nice and peaceful vacation. Definitely going back again.

We loved our stay! This is such a great home in a great location. If you want a quiet, relaxing place with unbelievable views, this is it. You walk into this place and feel right at home. There is plenty of room to spread out (the loft is great for the kids to play and have their own place). The kitchen has everything you need. I was going to make a birthday cake (from scratch) for my daughters and forgot to bring a mixer. We got there, and there sat this great kitchen aid stand mixer on the kitchen counter! This kitchen has everything you need (even has 2 refrigerators)! All you need to bring is the food. The beaches were great (most of the time, saw only fisherman). We went after Labor Day, so the kids and grandkids had the beach practically to themselves. They had fun building sandcastles, looking for seashells, and fishing with their grandfather! We all are looking forward to visiting again next year. Thank you, LaWanda, for sharing your beautiful home!

I have rented this place a couple of times and each time I am just at awe with the home and location,the fishing is wonderful,watching the dolphins in the mornings out on the deck is picture perfect,the house is fully equipped with everything you will need and then some,each age member of the family enjoys this home, the owners are very attentive to any needs you may have and nice as can be,we will be back

Wonderful Family Vacation

Noah's Ark Vacation Rental was a great place for our family; grandparents, children and grandchildren. The home was beautifully decorated and equipped with everything you need to be comfortable and have lots of fun. The men enjoyed fishing right off the deck (even though they didn't catch much), the grandchildren enjoyed playing in the loft playroom, and the huge kitchen was big enough for everyone to help with the food preparation. We spent all day on the well-kept beach which was a short walk away. While sitting on the deck, we watched dolphins playing in the water. LaWanda, the owner, was extremely helpful. She allowed us to do our own cleaning before we left and to bring our own linens in order to keep the cost down. We all had a wonderful time at this beautiful vacation home and hope to return there next year.

My husband and I have been renting for over 10 years. I have never posted because I didn't want the word to get out. My most favorite part is the DECK. I could live on the deck and just listen and view the ocean. This past weekend the water was BLUE and flat. My husband comes to fish and this weekend was the perfect time. Specks at night and Red fish during the day. There were boats right in front of the house that caught fish with every cast. The beach water was like a swimming pool. You can walk for miles on the beach. We have also been there during stormy weather with thunder and lightning and talk about a huge picture show. What more can I say but I ABOSOLUTELY LOVE IT. So many wonderful memories!!!

We had a blast! This was a great home for our summer vacation! We had 4 couples in our group and some of our kiddos and there was plenty room for everyone plus extra space. :) This Kitchen was wonderful and we enjoyed meals there everynight. It was plenty big for our large group. The kids and the guys fished all week and caught enough to have dinner one night plus take some home. We Took Our Family Vacation In August 2011. The House Was Exactly What We Needed For Our Mixed Age Group. The Young Children Loved The Beach, The Teens[and Others] Loved The Fishing, And The Ladies Loved The House,beach And Deck. We Were Blessed With A Full Moon And The Nights Were Spectacular. If you're looking for a huge kitchen w/every utensil possible (2 frigs) and massive deck overhanging the ocean, this is the place. This beach house has a multitude of places to relax and sleep and is in a secure feeling subdivision. The living area and kitchen are in one giant room and allows plenty of room for all. The ocean breeze was great and we loved seeing Flipper's cousins off the back deck. It was also nice seeing so many pelicans and beautiful views from the wooded platform. There is a nice loft that has plenty of new toys for your little ones. Downsides could be: beach is bit of a walk (75 ft), there are different beach house website prices and extra charges aside from weekly rent for linens, cleaning, etc...Solid overall!

House was exactly as described. Beautiful and comfortable. Views cannot be beat! The sunrises and sunsets were delivered on a silver platter. Every comfort of home is provided. The kitchen is well appointed with everything you could want in order to prepare any kind of meal. The owners were very responsive and in touch with us although not at all intrusive. Very easy to get to from Galveston yet far enough away to not feel crowded with tourists. We would happily rent again. Surprisingly, it was not too hot - the breezes were wonderful! We were able to enjoy the deck even in the middle of July!

It does not matter when or how long, if we need to get away, it is here. LaWanda is an excellent person to do business with and keeps her vacation home in excellent shape and it is well cared for. There is plenty of sleeping arrangements, kitchen, living space and the kitchen/living room open onto a huge deck not just over looking but in the ocean water. Fishing is wonderful, no one next door unless it is LaWanda and her family and they are great neighbors! This is the kind of place you feel at home in and like .... you could spend the rest of your life. I don't usually write reviews but I have broken my record and decided if ever, now was the time. GO FOR IT, you won't be disappointed. I did put a month and year, but when we go back it will be our fourth trip.

What an outstanding place to stay. You will not find nicer people to deal with than Lawanda and Dick. They have made this home very nice and comfortable. We caught fish all week long had a couple of fish fries and took home fish for more Fish Fries. Easy into Galveston or Lake Jackson to have even more things to do. My brother in law's and nephews wouldn't even leave the house for most of the week due to extreme fun fishing right from the deck of the house and swimming at the beach. We watched great Sunrises and Sunsets daily. It was hard to leave but we will be returning as soon as we can to play, relax, and have fun again. Our Family gives this a true 5 star thumbs up place to enjoy vacation.

We had an amazing time at the beach house. The men enjoyed fishing off the deck. The evenings on the deck were so relaxing. There was plenty of rooms and the beds were so comfortable! The best beach house EVER!!!

My husband and I have spent 3 out of 4 anniversaries renting beach houses in Galveston. Hands down, this is the best one!!! My husband, myself, and our guests had a blast catching a ton of fish. We even got to see porpoises swimming around. The sunrises and sunsets were stunning. I would recommend this house to anyone. We are already thinking about renting this house again next year. Thank you LaWanda for the wonderful memories and can't wait to make some more at your beautiful house!!!

Oceanfront Home

Our visit was wonderful. My husband caught 13 fish straight off the deck. The kids enjoyed the ocean, there were several days of awesome waves. Everything we needed was provided. The only bad thing was the mosquitos! We drove into Galveston one day and took the kids to Schlitterbahn. We are definitely considering staying here again.

Great beach home. Nice rooms. Beautiful kitchen. Amazing deck where it looks like the sunrise and sunset belong to you alone. You can watch the dolphins over breakfast. Only downsides were lots of mosquitos, the beach is about a 75ft walk away and the beaches had lots of seaweed.

Best Vacation Ever

We enjoyed every minute of our stay. Fishing and beaches were awesome. We loved sitting out on the deck and watching the dolphin. We loved the soothing sounds of the surf. We were even blessed with a beautiful full moon. The rooms were so comfortable we slept better than we do at home. The large common area allowed for some wonderful time with our grown children and grandchildren.

Family Reunion Getaway

We just spent a week in this lovely home. This was our 2nd trip to this subdivision and we decided during our trip last year that this was where we wanted to stay on the next one. We had a wonderfully relaxing vacation. The weather wasn't great but you can't beat the view, the accomodations, or the amenities offered in this home. We are going back in August for another week. We had family fly in from Indiana (all together there was 7 of us). The home was the perfect set up, plenty of room, and anything and everything we needed was there for us to use. Love, love, love this place and the owners are wonderful...very accomodating. Looking forward to August and returning with the "kids" for some fun on the beach.

I have booked many vacation homes but this home truly stands out for many reasons. The view has to be more than a 5 star rating and the entire home is done with comfort and style but not stuffy and something we were afraid our kids shouldn't be in. The fishing has to be on the top of the list because the guys said it was better than going deep sea fishing. Our teens, that do nothing but internet, loved catching their first fish and finding some wonderful shells. For an extended family, the home is designed for great family fun with rooms to get away from each other, too. The loft is huge with it's own TV for the kids. If they ever sell, I want to know if I can afford it. Thank you so much Royer family for allowing us to vacation and bond with our family.

This is our 3rd year at Noah's Ark (would have been 4th had it not been for Hurricane Ike). This is by far the best house on the coast! Great Fishing - 16 Reds ranging from 21" to 40", 2 Sharks, 2 Skip Jacks, 1 Founder and 1 Seagull. LaWanda has done an amazing job of making the house comfortable and very accomodating for all our friends and family. We will be back next year!

We just stayed at he beach house and it was fantastic Hats off to LaWanda and her husband for providing such a clean and well furnished and well air conditioned Beach House. The beds were so comfortable that I could not get my book beyond the first page before falling asleep at night. We caught fish off the deck and in the surf by the house. Grandkids played on the beach and in the surf.It has a fish cleaning station that we used.Caught lots of Sea Trout --4lbs-5 lbs. At night it was so pleasant to sit on the deck and just relax looking at the sea and ocean. We saw dolphins from the deck in the mornings. It was such a good time that we are already planning for next year there.

Okay. I have not stayed here....yet. But, the Owners, LaWanda and Dick were kind enough to give me a tour of this wonderful home, while I was visiting the area. OMG! It'll blow you away! Everything is top notch...appliances, furnishings, bedrooms, decor and the view is more than fantastic. It is overwhelming. True. You can bring your fishing rods and fish right off the deck. But, DO NOT FORGET the Camera and/or Camcorder!!! You'll want to take back pics for the memories. Georgeous!

Family Reunion!

I absolutely love this house. I am now in college, but when I was in junior high and highschool my dad's side of the family stayed in this house. We rented it several years in a row! My cousins and I still talk about what a great time we had here. This house is very spacious and open. The girl cousins took over the loft which was a huge treat and the best view of the ocean. I was in Galveston this past weekend and we drove out to see how it looked. Hopefully we can have a reunion next summer in this house! I can't wait!

The property was everything it advertised. The house was spacious (8 Adults and 3 small children in our group). We fished right off the back deck and caught catfish till we got tired, also sand trout and a redfish. The house stayed cool (which was great in June). We will definitely try this property again.

I wanted to thank you for renting us your place for an excellent family vacation. We planned this thing for about 9 months and when I saw your property online I knew it was perfect for us. This was the first vacation with my two daughters and grandaughter in over 10 years and the 1st with my parents and brother in well over 30 years. It was the first with my new sister in law, son in law and grandaughter There was a lived in quality about the place which allowed us to relax and feel at home. For eleven people it was very comfortable and there was more than enough room.. The way things are set up, the house is very livable. The living room, kitchen and dining room area all being one very large room, we never felt crowded. We really did like the layout of the house. It was a big plus. Four bedrooms and two full baths, with two bedrooms and a bathroom on each side of the house via a short access hall on each side makes a very usable design. The Best views on the Coast of anywhere we have been!

Gee, what can we say, we were just awed by the view. You see nothing but ocean from their deck. My husband loved the fishing and caught so many he was having to throw some back. My teens hit the beach which is just steps from the house and used their boogie boards and my one surfer had some pretty good waves. We slept like babies with the ocean sounds and the comfortable beds. The kids love their own room in the loft. The house was very comfortable and nice for our extended family get together. We plan to get back very soon. Thank you Royer family for being so nice and helpful to us!

This place is amazing!..eventhough it is like a 20min away from Galveston I would prefer this place for gud home plan type of activities. People say it is an amazing place for fishing but never get a chance to do. You can waatch dolphins right outta the deck while having coffee.. close to beach..etc.

It is indeed an awesome oceanfront home. The house is clean spacious for 13 of us. The view is postcard perfect and there are many activities to do. We enjoyed fishing from the deck, walking on the beach and collecting seashells. A big school of mullets even put on a show for us when the fishing light shone on them. This is one of the best place for vacation, retreat, or family gathering.

This was our family's first vacation together since our children were grown. It was fantastic! The house was beautiful and very spacious. One of a kind fishing spot!!

Our family has visited the beaches of Texas many times in the last 10 years. This rental is the most unique, especially if you enjoy fishing. You are able to fish directly into the Gulf.On Saturday and Sunday morning, I have never seen so many fish in one place. We also saw a sea turtle , a stingray, and a large dolphin. The home is lovely and very comfortable as well. We enjoyed our stay very much! The McCarty's from Louisiana
