New beachfront home - stunning (#19876)

Write a review We were blessed with the most beautiful sunrise you could ever see. The house was just wonderful. The kitchen was so well stocked. We had a wonderful time that we shared with our 18 year old grandaughter. Amazing time. The unique "Harry Potter" room under the stairs fascinated and occupied our 3 y.o. granddaughter for hours on end while the large gormet kitchen provided a wonderful gathering space for her adult aunts, uncles, parents, Nana and Pops! This beautiful home was a perfect spot for our family to gather for a fun, long weekend since we missed time together over the actual Christmas holidays. Despite the weather outside being windy, cold, and rainy, the fireplace kept us warm and the enjoyment of 8 adults preparing meals together kept us laughing for hours on end. And when the sun came out, we were able to really enjoy long walks on the beach where we rarely saw another soul. The 3-sided deck provided a great place for adults to gather and watch the huge red sun sink at sunset while a 3 y.o. tried to break speed limits while safely riding her tricycle around and around. It was a weekend to be long remembered by all and we will definitely be coming back! I can not wait to tell you how much fun and enjoyment we had in your home. Not only is the best set up ever for families and friends of all ages, Barbara I can' begin to tell you what a gracious host and wonderful person you were in getting this prepared and reserved for us. We utilized everything there and truly were sad it came to an end this morning. It was hard for us to leave but we wanted to leave it back for you in the condition left for us which was clean for the next people. TRULY AMAMAZING is the best way to describe and we will be watch your calendar as to when I can take my family there just to relax. Barbara, thank you from the bottom of my heart for the awesome deal that you gave me and above all else the opportunity to male a dream come true for my friend Maryanne and her son Cody of whom we are so so proud of. THANK YOU THANK YOU and we wish all the best for you and your family. All I can say is that we loved it! I had my wedding here and it was perfect. Lots of space and perfect for entertaining. It is also perfect for just a get away for a family or maybe a family reunion. It is VERY kids friendly. We do plan to come and stay again. Clark and Michelle Lee beautifully equipped, maintained, and positioned house on family beach. walkway over dunes to shaded gazebo on beach. perfect for anyone with difficulty walking. great shaded balconies. Spring Break 2009 was wonderful and very comfortable. My group of 10 has the best time of our lives. The house was clean, comfortable and relaxing. The kitchen was fanstastic! It had everything a gourmet chef would want. The view from the house of the beach was worth a million dollars. Just relaxing and watching the sunrise was just what the doctor ordered for the stessed out world we all live in. I will be coming back again! Thank you for such a nice stay! Our family had a great time while staying at the beach house. Overall it was a very pleasant renting experience. It was everything we were looking for and more. Despite Ike, we really enjoyed ourselves! Beautiful location! Unfortunately, Hurricane Ike made for a wedding with no water in the home. That's the only reason I didn't give my experience 5-stars. Obviously, that was beyond the owner's control. Nonetheless, our wedding was BEAUTIFUL. Thank you, Barbara! We visited during the Olympics and enjoyed the many amenities so thoughtfully provided by the owners. Beautiful home with a safe beach for our grandchildren to enjoy. The six adults and 5 children were dazzled by the kitchen, the "secret room" and the other conveniences for a family vacation. We give the Bluewater Star a Gold Medal!! Thank you to the Haneys for their hospitality and are prayerful that their beautiful home survived IKE! We stayed here on Father's day weekend and through out the week. It was one of the best times I have had in a very long time. We caught Flounder in the waterway, which is about 1/2 a mile from the home. We couldn't asked for anything more. The beaches were very private even during the weekend. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed! Thanks so much for this experience Barbara! We definitely look foward to coming again!!! We spent a wonderful week with our family, 6 adults and 3 children. Aside from the lovely, quiet beach and all that it offered including clear water, porpoise sightings, and many kinds of shore birds, the house accomodated us beautifully. The kitchen was so well equipped and we very much appreciated that as we ate in all but one night. We totally enjoyed the deep decks around the house at all times of the day and evening- even in the hottest part of the day there was a good breeze and shade to be found. We left with very happy memories and very tired kids- they were busy every minute! WOW! Nice quiet beach with a surprise visit from a dozen dolphins. We had 3 families stay with us and we never felt crowded or in each others way. Very spacious and clean. We took a day trip into Galveston and it was a nice and short and a beautiful drive all the way up the coast. Sunrises and sunsets on the coast are a thing of beauty and with this house you got a stellar view of both. This was a great bonding time for all of us and we can't wait to come back again! Owners are very gracious and quick to respond to all inquiries. Just a fantastic experience overall. we just got back from our 2nd stay in this wonderful house. what an awesome time we had!! couldn't have had better weather..kids played on the beach all day, every day!! what a great trip to kick off the summer!! thanks for everything, Barbara!!! we will be back soon =) Our three families gathered in this beautiful home over the Christmas Holidays. We traveled from Texas, Georgia, New York, and Tennessee. Everyone loved it from the children (ages 1, 2, and 4) to the grandparents. Each family had their own rooms and the amenities were extremely kid friendly. I would strongly recommend this home to anyone with children or anyone simply wanting to get away for a quiet weekend. This house is a must to see and revisit again and again! A wonderful house-well furnished and an exceptional kitchen! The beach was fun even in the winter and the owners couldn't be nicer. Definitely a place to return to! My husband & I took our 4 yr old twins to this house for their first beach experience. We had such a wonderful time!! We had awesome weather, played in the surf & built sandcastles every day! The house is amazing & feels like home the moment you walk in. The views of the ocean are so awesome, you don't even feel like you're in Texas any more. What a wonderful beach house for any beach lover...even if you're not crazy about the beach, there is no way you would not love this house. We will most definitely stay here again!! PS...The owners (Barbara & Mike Haney) are super nice!!! =)
