Description of the Galveston vacation home rental

OUR HOME IS JUST A FEW STEPS FROM LONG, BEAUTIFUL STRETCHES OF BEACH just off Galveston's West End. CALL FOR WEEKDAY AND WEEKEND RATES. Pelican Cay is a well cared for 3 bedroom 1200 foot home with vaulted ceilings, a loft for extra sleeping space, and is just 110 feet from the water's edge. It enjoys an unobstructed view of the Gulf of Mexico, and every room has a water view. The master bedroom has a king size bed; the second bedroom has a set of double bunk beds, and the third bedroom contains a queen bed. The loft contains a futon, which could sleep 2. Our home has central air and heat, and a beautiful electric fireplace. The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, range/oven, trash compactor, and microwave, as well as all the necessary small appliances. The laundry room comes complete with a full size washer and dryer. There is a downstairs enclosed shower for washing off the beach sand. Also located downstairs is a covered deck and a shell/fish cleaning station plumbed with cold water. If you want a nice, well kept, clean home at a reasonable price, look no farther. Be sure to call or email in spite of the calendar. Some reserved dates may be owner dates, or maintenance dates, and reservations that are made early in the year can change. When available we do offer daily and weekend rates. Email for holiday rates, and thank-you for looking.

Treasure Island subdivision is just off the west end of Galveston Island, and is 23 miles from the city of Galveston. It is a perfect location for those who enjoy fishing, miles of beautiful beach, and minimal crowds. All of the amenities of Galveston can be enjoyed with just a 30 minute drive each way.

 Most relaxing vacation ever!, July 27, 2009

We just returned from spending a week at Pelican's Cay and we had a wonderful time. The beach was great...kind of like having your own private beach. Access to the beach was easy, the house was lovely (only wish it had another full bathroom), the location was perfect (if, like us, all you want to do is relax). We left the house only twice..once to go to Walmart and once to attend a wedding. It's a fairly long drive into Galveston but exactly what we were looking for. We plan to book again for next year!

LaWanda! You can tell your friends that they have quite the "jewel" as their realtor! You made me feel like we were already buds and that our stay was more of a "visit" than a rental agreement. Calvin and I found Pelicanscay to be a wonderful respite from our day to day. Just what we needed. A little relaxation, long sea induced sleeps and a bit of a tan to take back to Katy. (who am I kidding? I'm more red than tan!) Those late afternoon dips in the sea were truly refreshing. Seriously, we could have used a week or two of this. ;-) Thanks for your hospitality. Looking forward to the next "visit"! Thanks again.

We had a wonderful time staying in this property.As told it was ready to stay in. It was very clean and comfortable. There is a shower outside which was very useful aswe could rinse off the sand from the beach,especailly with children. The lady organising our stay was excellant, exteremly helpful and did not mind when we rang her to ask questions concerning the area. The view of the sea from the house was wonderfully. We would highly recommend a stay at this house.

Just had to add my review to your great home. I was a little worried when I read the part about going over some rocks for the kids but this home met our needs and price range. There is no problem with rocks if you just go over the walkover provided. My two year old had no problems so maybe that has been fixed or something..We saw so many dolphins and had a great picnic on the beach. Sitting on the deck was so relaxing, we had a hard time going in at night. We hope to bring our parents next time so we can have a little more time on the deck while Grandma has fun with the kids. Thanks for letting us come last minute. We so appreciated it.

We really enjoyed are stay. Plenty of room for are large family. They worked really well with accomadating my family and I so we could have a great vaccation. The house is very nice and makes you feel at home. Only reason for it being four star is that the beach access is not great for younger children. Harder for them to get down over the rocks to the beach. But the beach was beautiful and clean. The kids did love it. Are family enjoyed sitting on the deck watch and hearing the waves, bar b queing and relaxing. Which made it a great vaccation.....Owners are great people...I would love to go back.......

Great home and good fishing at the Pier. My kids loved the beach. We had the place to ourselves. Good family home for our family. We had enough room to bring another, however.
